This place within walking distance of my hotel has ice box lemon pie. I think I’m going for a walk... 😋

Sounds productive @ladeedah! Hoping you find some more you like for tomorrow or at least to get a better feel for things. Is it a possibility to come later in the spring when more stuff is on the market? I guess spring market may start earlier in warmer states. Or could your h visit houses in person since he's there already? I had horrible fomo on future listings, so maybe don't listen to me😂

flamingo Why bring the kid’s iPad to the game? Seriously. And that message is strange. Sounds like she worded it wrong if she just wanted to say hello. Idk. This was my H and me. Apparently this is a UO to some parents. The kid was losing his mind and dad was having to carry him back to the court. I just don't understand trying to coerce these super young kids into playing where there is clearly no interest or attention span. If it were me, I'd chalk it up to a lesson learned and call it quits. At least then I'm not torturing myself and my kid every Saturday morning, and the kids who really want to be there would get extra playing time. If this was the first day, ok whatever. But it's been 3 weeks of the exact same thing.

lahdeedah are you looking to buy or rent? Do you think you’ll be there long term ? Rent is ridiculous here, so we are looking to buy. Not sure how long we will be here, but our realtor knows our situation and isn’t shy about telling us her honest opinion. She knows in the next few years we may be calling her to sell this house we are searching for and does not want us in something that will be hard to sell or won’t appreciate. This is hard. One house we do love, but it’s at the top of our budget and I don’t think I want to go that route just yet without exhausting our options. That's great that she's being straightforward and looking out for you for the long-term. Maybe that house will come down in price as more houses are listed. Sometimes I think ones that come up early in the winter try to capitalize on the limited inventory with a high price, and then have to get realistic as competition increases and they haven't sold. At least that is what I've seen in FL (b/c I stalk obsessively )

I already took off a few days during spring break to next month to come back. MH can go look at stuff that comes on the market while I’m away. I have FOMO too, but based on today, he has higher standards than me, so I guess I can trust him. 😂 Houses go fast here, so I’m hoping we have some new houses to look at in the next month or so. I want 4 bedrooms or 3 and a bonus, but I may have to settle for just 3 if the square footage is right. It won’t be bad, but it would be nice to have a guest room that I wouldn’t have to “clean” before our parent’s visit.

Cadence has started fake fainting when she gets excited. Today it was because I bought colored ice cream cones at the store. My kid is drama.

But it's been 3 weeks of the exact same thing. Agreed. We tried soccer with M when he was 3. It was a 6 week thing and after 2 weeks he cried about going. We just stopped going. Not like they're 10 and you need to instill in them "finish what you start" they're 3.. now M has been begging to play all winter and we signed him up again. And J. But if they hate it, I'm not forcing the issue.

Hi Ladies, it's been a crazy weekend here. I was on my way to a hair appt yesterday afternoon when the roads were blocked by police as the armored trucks came through. I wondered what was going on, but had no idea there had been a shooting in the town next door until my phone started blowing up. Luckily, my kids had the day off school, because all the local schools got locked down. So crazy, and scary and sad. Can't quite wrap my head around it.
Went to my kids track meet today, hosted my MIL and her new dog and now I am ready for a glass of wine TYVM.

flamingo what you described is what’s been happening at Cs Sunday ninja class. It is for 4-7yos but slot of the newly fours just aren’t ready for these kind of obstacles or to be away from their parents so the parents are crowing the floor and class keeps being stopped to clear them. Kids are crying and being forced in class and therefore distracting everyone. I’m thrilled the owners are having a lot of success and growing (they just did this big ad campaign to drum up business and had more growth than expected). They added another class to accommodate all the new people but it’s not convenient for us and they changed the Sunday one to an hour earlier. So we are quitting for now. Between the time change and all the new parents distractions it’s just not worth it. I’m hoping to start again when he is in the next age group and drop in as we are able.

Like you said, great that they're growing, but annoying that maybe the age category wasn't well thought out. 4 to 7 is a BIG gap in maturity, ability, level of attentiveness, etc. Maybe they'll notice or people will complain and they'll make a change. I'm not sure if this basketball league is in its infancy or what, but I would be in favor of 4-6 next year (or even 5-6, tbh). Back home and in other leagues I've seen here it's usually 5+. I mean, we are paying a very reasonable fee and my kid's enjoying it and probably doesn't notice/care, so I'm not in burn-it-down mode or anything, but I find the sidebar stuff really distracting and annoying.

At least that is what I've seen in FL (b/c I stalk obsessively ) I noticed last year that if houses were priced well, they would be competitive and go above asking price with escalation clauses...and those that were $25-50k over would just SIT. And then would get a price cut and go under contract immediately. I tended to go look at ones that lasted more than a week, because that was normally a signal we maybe had a chance. Thankfully our sellers turned down a few offers before accepting ours, which I think is why it sat for a bit..or something is wrong that we haven't figured out yet😬

Swam my mile today! I have mixed feelings about it because I am so fat in my photo and I had some troubles breathing early on that didn't let me keep the pace I wanted.

C has been throwing up what smells like sour milk once or twice a day for the past few days but was otherwise eating and acting fine. Now he just threw up 3 times in an hour. He’s currently sleeping on the couch in only a diaper because he fell asleep while I was waiting for DH to get him clean pjs. I don’t know if this is a bug of some kind or is he’s having a milk issue. The couch is covered in old towels and I finally started reading a book for the first time in a year tonight so I guess I will just sit here and read so he doesn’t fall.

Morning. My mom called me this morning saying dd had a 103 degree fever and didn’t sleep well last night, but that she’s still acting happy 🤷🏼♀️. We’re heading there a little earlier than planned, hopefully it is just an of day. She getting a few molars (she’s late I know) so maybe that’s it.
