Wonderful weekend

slenle we started doing that a few months ago and it’s been so nice.

We stayed at my in laws last night and are on our way back home childless. His cousins should be arriving soon but of course my overbearing SIL won’t leave them so they are staying the night with the kids tonight. So dumb and I feel like it makes us look bad but whatever. Dhs mom asked for the kids, not us.

We are now in traffic on the highway do to an accident and my insulin pump failed. I may have to try to finagle changing it in the car if it doesn’t let up soon.

I’m supposed to meet 3 of my SIL’s friends for lunch at noon to plan the baby shower. I’m trying to get M to drink as much as possible before I leave as I know MH will not be very patient with her.

This is horrible y’all.

4 hours in and we just started the 3rd one.

H is in bed, still sick. He said he felt a little better when he got up, but only ate 1 piece of french toast for breakfast. Its a stomach bug, so Im really hoping he keeps it to himself.

I have shoveled our driveway twice...we are expecting about 2" overnight, then about 8" Tuesday night. I already told my boss to expect me to WFH Wednesday and if I make it in, she can be pleasantly surprised!

I need to run to the store for a few things this morning, but it should be a quiet weekend.

Ugh tgrimes. I hope she drinks it. O hadn’t pooped since Tuesday and it had blood on it from straining. I bought magnesium per my Chiropractor’s suggestion last night. Spent $15 on it and he wouldn’t drink it. What a waste. So then i convinced him to take some sips of miralax. He can tell when i put it in water. MH texted today to say he pooped but it was small. I hope he continues to give him miralax and figs. I’m sure mh loves my texts micromanaging this process while I’m in Chicago. 😬

My sister doesn’t think this will work since she’s not drinking it fast enough. FML if the dr makes us do magnesium citrate after all of this.

Hi from VT! DH and Colin are skiing, Chase is napping and I just took a shower. We got here around midnight and the boys woke up and were wired, so DH and I didn't get to bed until almost 1. So clearly I was up shortly after 6. Time for a nap!

We're going next door this evening to hang out with the other Aunt, DH's cousins and the 2 other boys. Should be super fun if I could just get a bit of shut-eye now.

He woke up at 3 with a fever and chills and has been pretty lethargic all day, also hasn’t eaten anything. 😐 Everyone is down for nap now, so we’ll see how he looks after that.

I’m trying to decide if I should take him in tomorrow to see if he needs Tamiflu.

That would make three weekends in a row at urgent care, and six doctors visits total in three weeks...

We’re really something else over here.

X is back to being the most joyful little guy you’ve ever seen, so he’s clearly over his illness and that’s a big win. Miss P is definitely feeling better, too.

Pete is out buying me a new computer because I couldn’t decide what to get.

His 40th birthday is coming up in a few weeks and he really deserves something awesome so I need to start planning.

Cadence made it through the party with zero issues and now is full of energy. Mh left for his friend's house and will be home tomorrow.
While they were at the party, I begrudgingly left my bed and went to the grocery store.

Only 2 houses we liked, but not enough to pull the plug. Back to drawing board we go. 😒

I’m sending Mh and the kids to a basketball game. I will be relaxing and looking for more houses to see tomorrow. I do like our realtor, though.

N seems to be on the mend. She took a couch nap and then was hungry and has kept down her "crunchy bread" (toast), cheese, and popcorn. The boys are still out, so curious when they will get home. They took the metro, so fairly decent chance that will be the highlight of their outing. I should get dressed or clean something i guess now that she's doing laps with her baby stroller.

Basketball was cute, B is really enjoying it; after today I stand by my opinion that most 3 y.o.'s have no business playing basketball. One in particular is the farthest thing from interested; his mother spent the game trailing after him *on the court* trying to coax him into caring. Another kept running to the bleachers to play on his iPad (!) The older boys are doing great but the littles (and their parents) are distracting IMO.

Someone I vaguely know just PMed me on FB to say she tried to say hi to me a couple times when I was at Michael's this week, and apparently I didn't notice her. I didn't notice anyone and honestly have no recollection of this...I was too busy running interference on C as she attempted to pick up every.single.thing. I kind of feel bad but also kind of awkward now? Like, did she think I was avoiding her? IDK. This is kind of a weird thing to message someone, IMO.

Rent is ridiculous here, so we are looking to buy. Not sure how long we will be here, but our realtor knows our situation and isn’t shy about telling us her honest opinion. She knows in the next few years we may be calling her to sell this house we are searching for and does not want us in something that will be hard to sell or won’t appreciate.

This is hard. One house we do love, but it’s at the top of our budget and I don’t think I want to go that route just yet without exhausting our options.
