Re car seats; you never see the buckle across the chest if here. I bought one to add to dd seat, so she has one now. Also rear facing kids are far and few here after infancy. I don’t know anyone irl who did this. Ds was rear facing until almost 4, dd until 2y3m. She kept getting car sick, it stopped immediately after switching her. Currently we have this one for ds, not sure how you’d call it. It has an isofix latch & it uses a normal car buckle. I heard that many places in Europe don't allow the 5pt harness because it is buckled improperly so much, like too high, that it was more dangerous. I don't know if this is true though Eta I found this on car seats for the little "European standards require that seats allow a parent to release the harness in a single motion. ' "An American seat uses the chest clip to keep the straps properly placed on the shoulders: if the chest clip is too low the straps can be too wide on the shoulders. If it’s too high, it can be in the way of the child’s throat. In Europe, they use a more angled set of straps and often grippy shoulder strap covers to keep the straps on a child’s shoulders. Both harnesses restrain the child during the crash properly, just in different ways."

Went out for a cute Galentine's dinner. But we all drove ourselves so I couldn't drink too much.

I called in sick today because I was in terrible shape. Got the kids off to school, went back to bed, and stayed there until I had to do pick-up. Hoping all the rest will help me kick this bug.
I got Augmentin and some prescription cough syrup, too, so that should help.
