flamingo did you find your tulips? We stopped at the grocery store on our way home from school and they had TONS. I did, thanks! I went over to base yesterday to get more mascara and surprisingly they had some pretty ones there

But I 100% get where you're coming from. I'm only part time which helps (though I obviously only get paid for working part time...) and we have family support. Otherwise, cue all the panic. I'd likely quit working or go on a contingent basis because I just don't make enough money!

Oh yeah, M has baseball evals this evening. I asked if he could do them to find out if he can play 6yo coach pitch. I’m a little nervous about it. I didn’t know they did evals for this age group and when I saw it was today, I quickly emailed to find out if he could participate so we could see where his skill level is. Of course, he will have no clue what is really is because I will just tell him it’s just practice to find out what team he will be on.

So I didn’t realize the kids had noodles and meatsauce for lunch and I was planning on making that for dinner. the only thing I have defrosted is ground turkey. S said he does not want tacos, which is pretty much the only other quick thing I make w ground turkey. Any one have any super quick, EASY, 2 and 5 year old approved ground turkey recipes?

I would form patties and make turkey burgers or use taco seasoning and make nachos.

Our daycare costs are high, like jewels and tallb. One of the reasons why O went to kindergarten. This summer O will do full day town camp. They start at the elementary school then head over to the pool for the afternoon. I’ll pack a lunch. He’s gonna love swimming with his friends all day. I’m worried though that the camp counselors and pool lifeguards are all high school or college students. I’m not sure how much supervision they’ll have. Luckily O can swim. I worry more about rough housing in the pool, like dunking each other. There are a lot of fancy private summer camps near us but they are $$$$. Rich people around here and in nyc send their kids there.

He spent more than I spend on a full year of day care on it. But she loved it. Fortunately it seems most of the kids in my town do the Y camp so The kids shouldn’t feel left out that we can’t send them to one of this camps

If it makes you feel any better, my sister was a Y camp counselor as a high schooler (then as a college kid was a counselor and eventually director of a camp our club put on.) She always felt like the Y camps were well-run (not sure if that is what you're doing, I saw someone else mention it above). She is actually still in touch with several fellow counselors from her Y days, they were a good bunch. I went to sleep-away camp and our counselors were college students. Jr. counselors could be 17-18, so still in high school. Obviously there were adults running the camp but the day-to-day stuff was all on the counselors, and we lived to tell about it So I wouldn't let the age group worry me too much, that's fairly normal for this type of thing.

All fine here. I had mentioned to the nurse we were nervous about twins and the doctor came in with jokes saying she heard it's twins! She did say my numbers were high and with early symptoms she wouldn't have been surprised 😲. But just one wiggling little one, Edd 9/21. Mh is freaking out since it's real now, so that's fun. And with that i'll stop being a PW for the day. Also, fabulous news lfig, hoping it has quick results!

That doctor joking about twins reminded me of a scare I got right after Atticus was born.
I had already nursed him and they were wheeling me out of the delivery room and a nurse came up (maybe they were an LC?) and said, “you’re the one with the baby that has teeth, right?”
I was so confused because I hadn’t noticed teeth, but also terrified because what kind of Omen stuff is this if my newborn has teeth?! And I was still kind of out of it from drugs and a long labor. I looked up at the nurse who was pushing my wheelchair with a very puzzled face, I’m sure, and she shooed that other nurse away saying that was another baby and she apologized for the confusion.
But holy cow for a moment there I was petrified.

Her family was sick and she had strep. Her mom is finally home and they’re working out care for her. She’s just overwhelmed with everything going on.
