We are expecting our first real storm today. Although it will only be a few inches we are getting another few of ice over it. Schools are dismissing early so I assume Cs will too. Just waiting for the call.
How are you all doing?

How’s M tgrimes? I hope you had fun at the game last night. Is X feeling better cagoldi? C has a cold and post nasal drip. Another friend was sent home yesterday with a fever and sore throat so C has been insisting I take his temp. It’s normal. He’s fine. However he took mine last night and it was 101.8! And I had taken ibuprofen an hour or so before for a headache. I haven’t been checking it because I had a week without an elevation and I felt like I was being paranoid but I guess I need to start again and schedule that follow up.

Everybody closed last night so we slept til 7. The kids are playing “chess.” I hear a lot of talk about unicorns and cowgirls so totally Bobby Fisher-ing over here.

Stay safe in the snow and ice ladies!
I have a work meeting starting at 2:45 and ending at 7 this afternoon/evening. My stomach isn't feeling great, so I'm not looking forward to it. At least it's free dinner and drinks, if I even feel up to drinking.

Morning!
DNW snow and ice; y’all be careful, friends! Just rain and cold here, the rain boots I bought are definitely coming in handy.
B has school today and DH is flying out later this morning for a work trip. He’ll be back later this week so it’s the perfect length of time.

It’s a Tuesday, I wish it was Friday. But I’m excited. I get to wear my custom hard hat today for the first time at a construction site.

Morning! Hope you all in the frozen tundra fare well today!
I forgot to take my meds this morning. BP, Anxiety, and Reflux meds. So it’s gonna be a rough day. I will have to avoid soda today without the reflux meds, so I’m sure I’ll be a real gem to be around today 😂.

Now I keep a ziplock with one of each pill in my wallet. I meant to ask you also if you got your bp down?

I keep a zip lock with S’s emergency seizure meds as it is, in my purse already. I am going to add a dose or two of my meds to it! Thanks for the tip!! My BP is still a touch high, although not as bad as before. I may need an adjustment on the dose. I probably need to call the dr. My H just had to get his increased last week because he had been pretty high too. He texted me his conversation below with the dr after :😂 The Dr asked me if I’m under a lot of stress 🤣 “Lady I’m a supervisory federal LEO, for 21 years I have lived in a toxic cesspool and seen things that come from your worse nightmares.” “I’ve worked for no pay for the last month and a half and it’s fixing to happen again.” “I had surgery for skin cancer 4 months ago.” “I have a daughter with special needs, hydrocephalus, epilepsy and clerical palsy not to mention her hands are not working and nobody can tell us why or how to fix it.” “When the Dr’s prescribe meds or procedures, the insurance company denies them.” “I own a business that relies on weather and migration patterns of a little frigging bird, none of which I can control and we just had a horrible year.” I am the walking definition of stress!

wedding M is fine today. I’m wondering how long I should wait before harassing the dr about her lab results.

Tutu and tie Tuesday over here. Cadence is excited to wear a "tutu" and told mh he needed to wear a tie. He won't. Yesterday, the girls looked super cute in their matching tshirts. Other than the 3 office peeps, they were the only ones in the whole school to participate. I see a couple of tutus on the dc camera, but not for her class. And zero ties. Oh well. She's just happy to not have to wear her uniform.

Rainy day here, I think we missed this storm just barely. I have a doctor's appt today so a bit anxious about that. J is totally getting sick bc he's clingy and the perpetually swollen lymphe node is more noticeable - his teacher was like wth is that?!
Oh and I just submitted our claims for 2019 dependent care so I can get the money back as it's deposited. Highly recommend doing it this way...sidenote - it is very depressing I've hit the max 2 months into the year😖. Where do I need to live that $5k gets you through a decent chunk of the year?

It will last longer once kids are out of full time care, in like 6 years. Then we will use it for camps and before/aftercare, which is significantly less.

I heard we are getting out at 1 but then one of the judges scheduled a hearing at 3:30 likely because it hasn't been announced yet. I wish they would just announce as soon as they decide so things like this don't happen. If it gets too late and they can't reschedule the hearing, I think we will be stuck here.

Alexa, Google home, our phones are ALL listening to us. It's a bit if a mess. I did change my Facebook ad settings recently to not show me ads based on my data or data from other searches. I think I mentioned this but they had me correctly identified minus thinking I was African American, which would have been literally the easiest data to pull based on years of fb photos 😂. It's weird out there.

It's weird out there. I don't have Alexa/Google home for this reason. The phone is bad enough. I'll talk about something with H or my mom and within hours I'm seeings ads on FB or other sites for it (without having searched for it). That really creeps me out. For some reason the targeted ads don't bother me, I guess I'd rather see those than random ones? If I could get rid of all the ads that would be great, but that horse is way out of the barn, ha.
