WWYD? Valentines Day is on a Thursday which is the one day the kids don't go to daycare. Daycare is having Vday parties for both kids' rooms that day. Would you send valentines the day before to be passed out at the party or just say screw it and save the money and effort? N will be having a party at preschool on Wednesday so she'll get in on the fun there. H probably doesn't know the difference. I wouldn't waste the time and energy if they won't be there. N can party down on W at school.

I think I'm feeling movement. But since the ultrasound tech told me my placenta is anterior I'm suspicious it's just gas.

jewels I would do the PNO but pick them up by 9pm, that way they are home in bed by 9.30pm but you guys could still do an early dinner and maybe a movie? ETA: What time would you be wanting to stay out until? If it is until 11 I'd do a sitter so the kids can be in bed at a decent time. Would they sleep at daycare? and you'd pick them up, while they are asleep, wake them up to drive them home and put them back to bed? I do not compute the logistics of this. But I'm pretty routine about sleep time, the latest B has EVER gone to sleep is 9.30pm and that was on NYE. I’m late to this, but I was trying to figure out the logistics of it as well. I think I’d go with a sitter, but my kids have no nighttime stamina.

Spraying is a favorite summer and spring time activity. Spray bottles or even cups of water with paint brushes on the deck buy me at least an hour.

One of the moms at preschool told me that my back brake light was out. So we spent the last hour sitting in the waiting room of the Mavis getting it fixed. I should always pre-stress and overpack for the disaster, because then the kids are awesome and need nothing from me, which is exactly what happened. I treated us to Starbucks on the way home. Their medicine ball tea drink is so delicious.

jewels not sure what time your kids go to bed, but ours go early, so when we do date night it always starts a little later. I’m always so much more relaxed when i know the kids are sound asleep. Plus not having to worry about at what time exactly you need to be home is nice too. Our kids go to sleep on the late side, so usually B at 8:20 ish and S and 8:40 ish, sometimes a bit later, but always by 9. DC just called to say to see if we were going to do it and I said yes. She rattled off who's coming and as far as friends go it's literally like all their best friends. Almost as if it was planned that way, so it will be tons of fun for the boys, and if they are tired Sunday we don't have any plans anyway. She also said that they were going to set up the adjoining room for kids to sleep in, so hopefully they will actually be able to go to sleep separately from the kids that are still awake.

jewels I would personally get the sitter because DH and I usually Uber to date night so we can both drink and then I wouldn’t be able to pick my kids up. How am I the only one here thinking this way? My husband likes to Uber and I absolutely hate it. I like having my own car so I can leave exactly when I want; I hate waiting on someone, I hate the uncertainty (will they show, why are they late, etc), I don't like feeling obligated to make conservation with a stranger, on and on. We get X amount each month of Uber credit with our Amex cards so he is always gung-ho to use it and I'm like, nope nope nope. LOL, I'd never make it living someplace like NYC. eta: I should probably clarify here that obviously we are not drinking to excess when we are out and can safely drive home.

One day while reading something on GD I learned from mbenny that apparently it's not necessary to make small talk and some drivers find that annoying and just want to drive. Which is fine with me but cue the embarrassment when I realized I make small talk with them. I'm mixed on Uber/Lyft. It doesn't really exist where I live, but in a busy enough metro or near tourist traps I love using them because they are quick and reasonably priced. They are a plus when I'm on vacation and am not familiar with driving in that area.

Hi all,
We went to children's today for J's eye appointment. The good news is his vision is apparently fine and the doctor doesn't know why he failed the ones at our pediatrician. J did great until the drops, then we had to wait 45 min (got snacks in the cafeteria), then went back and they tried shining a light in his eye and lost it. Refused to look at doctor. Ultimately I had him pinned, nurse held his eyes open so the doc could examine while he shrieked, and N had sympathy tantrum on the floor. 😵
Mh is up next for any doctors appointments for him.

jewels, if you're paying either way I'd just do a sitter. Plus, drinking and uber like kim22 said (we think alike, Kim)!

I've been cleaning and doing laundry all day, but it feels never ending. Kitchen clean so a bowl of cereal gets spilled everywhere. Bathroom clean and then a glass gets shattered. Change the laundey and realize MH put a pen in a load...

P seemed fine when I picked her up, so IDK.
She’s napping now and I desperately need her to have a good one.

Pete’s manager just told him that he will be very happy with his review and raise next week.
She told him she didn’t get what she requested (she asked for them to approve $25,000 more than his current salary), but he would still be pleased.
I need to know!

I do think they are great for vacation so i will amend my statement to say I hate using them for getting around my own city 😂

I'm home early. The roads are icy, multiple wrecks, buses included, so they sent most of us home early. I also grabbed work to do tomorrow from home since they're calling for 1/4" then 1/2" of snow on top of that. My dad already cancelled watching evie.
