OK, question for the crowd. How long after someone and their kids recover from the flu would you go to their house for a party? You would be bringing your kids to this party.

having a hard time keeping up this week. the weather has been horrendous this week here too. we got a bunch of snow yesterday and it took me 1.5hr to drop dd1 off at school this morning (round trip). worth it though as i ve been pretty touched out this week.
dd2 has a couple of “words”. things she says consistently for certain objects anyways. i think my favorite is something that sounds like kitty for our cat. it’s pretty cute. i think there is something to the idea that if they’re working on one skill others get put on the back burner. dd1 was cruising by 9.5 months and we’ve only just started (11+) . i think her fine motor and language is further than dd1 at this point though.
i should really be cleaning the bathroom but am sitting under a blanket with a cup of tea binging a discovery of witches while dd2 naps.🤷♀️

I'm so tired. DS was woken up by the wind at 3:30 this morning. I had already been up with the baby twice so I tucked him back in to his bed and he was back 30 minutes later. We were up for the day at 6:00. E just went down for a nap and I can't peel myself off the floor to clean and make the millions of calls that I need to.

calendula, if they weren't actively sick I wouldn't think twice? I may be too breezy about germs though.

calendula if they have no symptoms for a day or two I'd say it's fine.

N still had an ear infection on Wednesday when we saw the doctor so she's finishing out 10 days of antibiotics. She's acting like her usual non-clingy self today, so hopefully she's getting over it.
She still can't crawl but she tries SO HARD! She can get into the right position and rock and shuffle her knees but then she propels herself forward and collapses onto her tummy.
She has about 6 words (mama, dada, byebye, uhoh, brother, grandma), though, so I guess she's making up for being a little lump 😆

I had my annual evaluation with my supervisor today and got my raise🙌🏻 It’s retroactive from my hire date anniversary (November 😅) so that will be a nice little chunk of change I’m planning to use for O’s 1st birthday party! Whoop whoop!!! Get that $$!!

Ugh. Wake up #4 tonight.
She’s sick and just cries and tries to get away from me the first couple minutes and then decides to nurse.
Of course she does this on a day H is at work so I can’t catch a nap.

Not enough to warrant an urgent care trip but enough to keep her up most of the night. 😑 I hope tonight is better for you!!

I downloaded You Need A Budget and just can’t get that hang of it. I’m thinking maybe I just need to consider this month a “trial” and not worry too much about it. I will say that it is making me SUPER conscious of how I spend my money. I can’t wait to get my tax refund and put it in the “VACATION” budget line!!! I’m pretty sure we’re going to do Disney next spring and I am so so excited. I think we’ll fly down, spend the weekend with the ILs at the beach and then meet my family at Disney. I’m tempted to drive and getting there wouldn’t be awful but DNW to drive all the way back after an exhausting week. I can’t believ DD2 would be almost two by then 😭😭😭😭

She had been down to 2 for almost a week and that was great - only 1 was while I was sleeping. Hope your night went better too!
