I miss hot coffee and sitting down. I mean, I miss sleep too, but if I could only sit down and drink a hot cup of coffee.

DS2 has gotten like 4 teeth in the last two weeks but they’re mostly on one side so he looks like he has three front middle teeth and three bottom middle teeth instead of two. Back at work and struggling with the juggling. DS2 is having major separation anxiety and screams if I’m out of sight or leaving him. Bedtime is a shit show too. I’m tired and frustrated. I’m so sorry Shoes. The screaming if they aren’t clinging on to you is graaaating. All those teeth, a big transition back to work - it can really only improve from here. Hang in there.

I miss hot coffee and sitting down. I mean, I miss sleep too, but if I could only sit down and drink a hot cup of coffee. I warmed up my coffee 3 times yesterday before I just threw it out. I would do some nasty things to sit and drink a hot cup so I’m with you on this one.

I'm drinking warmish coffee and headed to clean the shower.
I read through, but I need to go back and give commiseration tits. I wish easy days ahead for all of you. 💛
Yesterday a bunch of friends got together to sew for charity, this month I was in the lunch committee so feels like I spent the last two days cooking. DH cleaned up the kitchen and dishes after I left yesterday. I didn't ask him to but now he's annoyed that he had to do the dishes. 🙄 a realtor is coming to appraise our house this afternoon. He better not be planning to take pictures for advertising cause we have too much to clean up between now and then. He says the house we were looking at pry had a buyer so I'm kinda meh about the whole thing. We have a pretty small area where we'd be interested in buying and there's nothing else on Zillow that we'd be at all interested in. I have about 10% hope yet but idk why.

B likes to growl. Like he’ll say mama and dada but only if he growls it. So it sounds like a little exorcist baby saying mama. 90% cute, 10% alarming.

N was so clingy yesterday, which is so unlike her. I was wondering if it was teething, or the antibiotics she's on bothering her, or maybe it's just a phase she's entering? She's been a bit better today. We're going to the doctor this afternoon to check if her ear infection cleared up.
Every time N fusses or cries my toddler throws down whatever he's doing and says "N doesn't want me to do that" in a sad/mad voice. I've tried explaining that her fussing has nothing to do with him but he's taking it very personally lol.

leatherpants funny. My 7yo likes to growl too. Usually when she’s mad at me. And coffee, yeah I’d like that warm. Also, day 3 of long crying sessions before naps kick in. Toddlers are fighting nap too which is awful. We are going to see two more houses tonight and have pretty much decided we are asking dhs parents to move in with us. I have no idea how that will work, but they need a place with more help. Apparently I’m good help.

So I just realized today was Wednesday. Despite having worked two days already this week, I’ve been convinced it’s Monday every day so far. I don’t know where my head is.
We have L’s first birthday pictures in like 2 weeks so I’m panicking and going completely overboard buying outfits. I can’t figure out what I want him in - we get two outfits, and of course I have like 5 I love. Not helpful.
Also - my kid says ZERO words. He will say “dada” and sometimes he says it toward DH, but he also says that for me, for his brother, for the dog....so I’m not convinced it’s with intent. He babbles at us with quite the attitude but it’s not discernible. That said, he’s quite focused on learning to walk, and I think I remember with DS1 that when he was working on new physical skills, language would come to a halt for a bit.

I just can’t with everything today. I’m just so tired. The baby is biting me while nursing and she still won’t stop pinching me. I’m crawling out of my skin. And if I hear my toddler say “Momma look!” One more time I might die. I’m just having one of those days.

Did our babies all meet up and decide to be clingy this week? L would not let me put him down last night and he was hysterical when I left the daycare room this morning. Like the not breathing type of crying. He also refused his first nap this morning which is the first time he’s ever done that at daycare. They’re usually pretty short, but he’s never straight up refused. We’re going out for dinner/event for a friend tonight so I hope he’s not too grouchy.

There have to go to bed eventually.

sunshinedaisies we don’t have words here either. Same situation though - she says “dada” but not with any intent (that I can see?) She’s a year old in a month (today). How the hell did that happen?

I just skimmed but wanted to offer hair pats and alcohol to everyone having a tough time. E has also been super clingy and is cutting a molar as well.

The only word N says with intent is "uh oh". Does that count as a word? It's the cutest whether it's a word or not.
She was saying dada and mama for a while but more generically as well.

ArielMermaid, we're getting freezing rain here too. I pulled out the kids summer clothes to go through this morning because I needed something to look forward to.

I had my annual evaluation with my supervisor today and got my raise🙌🏻 It’s retroactive from my hire date anniversary (November 😅) so that will be a nice little chunk of change I’m planning to use for O’s 1st birthday party!

We won a prize (cool!) so I stood up while holding L when they handed it to me. Then when I went to sit down and L’s foot went right into my bowl and knocked my food into my lap (opposite of cool). I’m sorry you’re dealing with the scary cry too. Babies, please save this cry for actual emergency situations and not when I simply walk out the room.

Congratulations! Sorry it took so long to have your evaluation though. I thought my job was the only one who pushed off our annual reviews for months and months. I feel like there must be some sort of incentive for them to delay the meetings, but if they’re paying retroactively, what benefit could there be?

I confirmed with our college student babysitter that it would be okay if we weren’t home until 10 or 11 tomorrow night. “Oh yeah, we won’t go out until after 11 anyway so that will be fine!”
My days of not going out until 11 do not seem that long ago but I cannot even fathom going out that late now. Like sometimes I would take a nap at 7 pm before going out. And now a 7 pm bedtime is my goal.

I used to do respite care for a family with a child with a disability every Friday night until 10:30pm. Then I’d go out after and the parents always had a chuckle when they got home and I was doing make up in their bathroom. I get it now haha

Holy shit ArielMermaid. That looks miserable! I hope you have power and your phone doesn’t die! It stayed on (so far!) we are getting some crazy wind and a nice little dusting of snow so it’s like a constant white out. Other good news is our car is ready to pick up, we just have to be able to go get it 😂

I have no clue why my supervisor is so behind on them, and why I have to submit my self eval a month BEFORE my anniversary date🤦🏼♀️ Glad to hear it’s not just my job though!
