elodin I'm in the same boat, both my boys were winter babies! So everything I have is the opposite of what I need.

elodin I'm in the same boat, both my boys were winter babies! So everything I have is the opposite of what I need. Such a waste! I'm sure this baby will fit in some things eventually. I'm not looking forward to going through all the clothes in our attic. I started off organized when DD was an infant but eventually just started stuffing things in trash bags. I have regrets. 😂

You all are inspiring me to have a backbone!! I will be better about standing up for myself this time and holding visitors at bay. I will start pep talking DH too!
Have the weird pregnancy dreams started for anyone else? Last night I dreamed that my baby was born. I went home from the hospital immediately after the birth but my baby stayed at the hospital. Then I got home and realized I had to go back to the hospital because they had forgotten to tell me if it was a girl or a boy. Soooo weird 😂😂

My first was a summer baby, but she was under 6 pounds when we left the hospital and was slow to grow so her clothes were easily passed onto my winter babies! Assuming this baby is sized more like my last two I will need all new clothes but we'll have to wait to see if it's a he or she.

peachesncream take all the time you need in the hospital!! We totally didn't even tell my ILs until after the baby was born (but thankfully we are also about 4-5 hours away so we waited to invite them until after I was settled at home after #2) . Who else has taken the NIPT, if you took it, which brand did you use? I just had my blood draw for the Qnatal yesterday, for DS2 it took SOO long to get results, over 14 business days I believe. I am hoping for a much faster turn around time this go around. How long have you/did you wait for results?

eleanorshellstrop I did the Panorama. I got it done on December 11th and got the results December 27th. They were ready within 7 days but they forgot to fax the results (they said they did but the didn't). It was also over the holidays so I'm sure that played a part.

peachesncream: We had my parents right away at the hospital and honestly they were the only people I wanted to see. MIL and her H were texting DH like mad (they weren't in town) so this time we won't be telling those ILs until after the baby is born. friendofdobby: The Haakaa is great. My recommendation is to make sure to buy one with the suction bottom and either the new grey lid or a stopper. eleanorshellstrop: I want to get a double umbrella stroller. I've been looking at the Summer Infant 3D Double but not sure if there's enough foot room for the back kid. I already have this concern about my tandem jogging stroller. Other than that we bought NB cloth diapers & an infant car seat. Other than that, I'm getting a ring sling for easier carrying. On a separate note, apparently dairy is causing gas that presses on my stomach and causes the nausea. UGH. So I guess I may be switching to vegan Mac & cheese after my test. Gluten free vegan Mac and cheese is what I ate all last pregnancy but there's no need to doubt that I will miss real cheese & normal noodles.

You guys are going to laugh at me. I had an appointment at MFM. When I made the appointment she said it was just to talk to a doctor. Well, I had an ultrasound too so we got to find out the sex of the baby!
It's a boy!

sammysam, I got the Halo Swivel Bassinet for this baby since this made c-section #3 and it has been wonderful. I highly recommend it. I found one that was in near perfect condition used. So far, baby girl sleeps really well in it too.

Our ultrasound to find out is on Friday. I really hope everything is clear one way or another. I'm wondering if we should just wait a few more weeks. My husband has a class all next week which is why we pushed it up....

My husband has a class all next week which is why we pushed it up.... Will you be 14 weeks? That's the cutoff for every place around here. If they say boy I would think you have your answer, if they say girl I would maybe be more hesitant to believe it but I would lean more toward the ultrasound results than the Sneak Peek! Either way I hope you at least get some peace. ETA: If there's a chance they say it is a boy and you would negate the results because you don't think you're far along enough I would reschedule to a point where you are comfortable enough to believe the results without questioning and save the money!

Yes I'll be 14w1d. I've made peace with it being a boy at this point, I just want to know at this point. But I'm telling them if they have any doubts to not guess and to tell me to come back in a few weeks.

rachacha $200 is steep. I think of $70 like a mani/pedi so that’s how I justify it lol.

If the NIPT hadn't been covered for us I wouldn't know until my AS (which is next week). I'm counting this as a positive to being an older mom:)

Tomorrow is my last day of work and I am a little sad about it. I have another month or so of childcare and then I will officially be SAH! I am a little terrified to be honest but I know it's for the best for everyone.

I’m having lots of anxiety the past week or so and still have another week to go until my next appointment. Just a bad feeling I can’t shake. I hate the waiting game between appointments.
In other news my dad, stepmom, and 2.5 month old baby sister (which is still hard to believe!) are coming up this weekend to visit. Really looking forward to it.

Sorry for the anxiety friendofdobby. These appointments with a month long wait between them are so hard!! I forget when it switches to 2 weeks but we've got to be almost there and that should help <3

friendofdobby Sorry for the anxiety. I'm the same. I have my AS on Monday (I'll be 20+0) and I'm terrified. I'm not doing well with the long waits between appointments either. I'm hoping once I can feel baby consistently that I'll start feeling more comfortable with everything.

My SIL is due to be induced any day now. This is her second kid with my BIL. My MIL goes to every appointment and ultrasound and has been sitting with them in labor and delivery every time she has had to go in (she has had BP issues so she's been in a few times). She also was present at the birth of their last kid and will be attending this one as well. I think it's fine to have your mother or MIL involved, but this feels weird and overbearing. I also feel weird because I have wanted MIL as far away as possible for all of that 😂 I am so private, she always asks how dilated I am or when I had BP issues she would ask what my BP was. Dude. Private information. Lol

Yeesh peachesncream. I’m a pretty private person and don’t even want my own mom in on all that, much less MIL. That’s a lot.

peachesncream My MIL was in the room for DS1 because my husband was deployed and my mom and I were on the outs. It was just DH and I for Ds2 and it'll be the same for baby. We're finding out the sex in 4 hours. Not that I'm obsessing. I'm considering throwing together a "big brother" shirt for DS2 but it wouldn't match either of the ones I have for DS1
