He preferred the infantino, the one we have is the Fusion ( infantino.com/products/fusion ) He thought it was more comfortable, I preferred the Tula when she was stable enough. Thanks for the link! I’ll show this to my H and see if he is interested in using this carrier. You also may want to see if there is a local babywearing group in your area. They often will let you borrow a carrier to try it out so you can see what you like.

I'm doing baby laundry. I need DH to bring down the infant seat from the attic in the garage so I can clean it. Ive also started a target list so I can pick it up tomorrow after my NST and bloodwork at the hospital. My MIL will be here all day so I'm hoping I can get some things done.

I like the Mam pacis because they seem to be easy for the baby to keep in themselves from early on. We’ve used the soothies too, they always have them in the hospital and they definitely please newborns when you stick your finger in. Our Dentist asked us not to use them past when teeth come in, though, because they aren’t ortho friendly (almost any other kind of paci is) so I try not to get the kids hooked on them because I don’t want to get stuck. My kids have been fierce paci users, who knows about this next one!
For bottles we ate stuck with Dr Browns because of reflux, but I don’t mind them much. They are a few more parts to wash but a lot less laundry 😏. I buy the convertible ones so when they outgrow the reflux they just work like regular bottles. I do like how narrow they are and the travel caps stay on very tight which I didn’t find with some others we tried.

For bottles/pump parts I love the Boon grass drying rack. No more parts rolling away!

H used the moby wrap when L was tiny. I never felt comfortable using it. I discovered an Infantino infant carrier around 5 weeks and was in love. I switched at some point to the ergo. I don’t recall H using it ever, but he was also knee deep in chemo, so not sure if that will be the same this time. I might also be a baby wearing hog though We never used a pacifier because L inherited my very sensitive gag reflex. I’m hoping to avoid them again, but would really hate thumb sucking even more. I also just discovered that the bottles we have were discontinued and the new version nipples are not compatible. I think most of the nipples are fine to sterilize and re-use though. I’m going to inspect and start washing and sterilizing once I clean out a spot in the kitchen for them to go. Mostly, omg I’m going to have a baby in 2 months. Omg.

I’m nesting like a lunatic tonight. MH is making me sit down with a snack. I even overhauled my underwear. Just... why? But ok.

bex15 my breastfed babies used avent bottles and soothie pacis without issue going between bottle and boob. A plus to those is they fit the Spectra pump if you got one of them. This time I am using the bottles that came in my Amazon registry baby box. There is an avent and a boon. My other two werent picky and I'm hoping this one wont be either.

lemondrop I read a bunch of blog posts and Amazon reviews that said it, but I found a 3 pack new in the box at a local discount place and have confirmed for myself that they do work! I need 9 oz bottles for pumping, so I was trying to figure that out. I used a medela pump with the $1 parents choice bottles for my last two babes.

This weekend my mother in law surprised us and opened a Facebook event for a “non-baby shower, baby shower” for us. I’m both embarrassed and excited lol. It’s basically a gift grab since the family is so ridiculously spread out (NH, MA, CA, NC, FL, PA, GA, TX, CT, etc) that we couldn’t do a traditional shower.
I did a small registry on Amazon so I could get the discount a while ago, so she linked to that. Now I’m in there trying to add some other stuff if people want to get us anything, and opened a baby pool “game” for people to participate in - I’ll shoot a gift card to whoever wins so it’s not just a gift grab. It looks like a couple of people have purchased things, but I can only imagine what people thought getting that notification.

I’m still in denial that I’m having a baby in 2 months, so I haven’t researched nearly as much as I should have lol. I have some other options for kiddo since we don’t know what type he’ll take to, but I’m definitely going to pick up an Avent one for him to try!

lemondrop I also am in denial. I am 37 weeks tomorrow. Like I could have a baby any day. I'm going to the store this morning for labor food. Since we are having a home birth we need to have snacks for our birth team ready. Just incase it turns into a long ordeal (though it probably wont be).

My first was a 38+3 and my second was a due date babe. I'm prepping for an early term babe this time since I've already lost some mucus plug and had a day of prodromal labor. I'm guessing another 38 weeker.

But of course so different for each woman!

This time was real contractions wrapping from back to front, lasting a minute or more, 6-10 mins apart for 5 or so hours. Swaying and breathing through them. When I had it with ds2 he was born 2 weeks later. 2 weeks this time puts me at this Thursday. Also at my appointment last week they said they couldn't feel head, just shoulders, so it's in a committed position for delivery.

lemondrop We used medela bottles at first simply because they fit my pump, but once we were ready to switch to 9 oz bottles went with Tommee Tippee. Loved them. They also helped with A's reflux since the nipple was vented.

Is it possible for baby to be up in your back ribs only? One side is killing me today, like a bruised feeling and I know I haven’t done anything which would cause that.

One of my mom group besties went into labor this afternoon- her son is 2 weeks younger than my daughter. (We met when he was two weeks old and A was a month). She kept texting me in early labor that I need to go into labor and get the room next to her in the mat ward. LOL yes please, but maybe I need one or two more weeks of the twins cooking. Her daughter was born ten minutes ago hr I think my doc is going to make me stop working after either Friday's or Monday's appointments. I'm ready to be done, but really really prefer to make it thru at least Tuesday if not Wed next week (No school on Monday). I prefer to be on paid leave when our retro pay and raise go through on the 15th because I don't trust our ad center to not screw it up if I'm out on unpaid leave then.

Grr I've had a terrible neck/head ache since yesterday and it won't go away. I'm lying down with a heating pad right now and it's giving me a little relief at least, which is nice because we surely all know that Tylenol is a joke 🙄

I hope you get some relief soon. I always try to give myself a neck massage, but it’s really not as effective as having someone else do it.

MH attempted last night but wasn't very interested so he kind of half assed it, lol. I'll be recruiting his help again this evening.
