Morning! Getting everyone ready for school...can’t wait to have the house to myself! Also, the Baby Shark phenomenon has at long last found our household, so. Yay. I dont know what this is, and by the sounds of it I hope it never reaches me.

S had a birthday party on Saturday and, after talking to all of the parents there, I realized that they were all taking their kids out of DC for the summer and putting them in the local camp. I don't want S to be the only one left and spend the summer hanging out with the little kids, so I quickly signed him up yesterday. It is a bit bittersweet - he's been at that DC since 12 weeks old and June will be his last time there. I'm annoyed with tons there, but it will be weird to have him not there.

Our lecture this week is how to do a sex education lesson and the slides are killing me.
Condom, meet the banana.

Morning. I had quite the morning, but I'm here, had breakfast and a hot cup of chai tea so the day is on the up and up.
I've got to work on some Mentorship stuff that I've got to get together for next week, but other than that it's a normal day ahead.

We have a very elaborate dance routine that involves costumes and stuffed sharks of various sizes.

Morning ladies! klong11 I was going to comment on yesterdays thread, but here I am...we make Evie pick all of her toys up every night before bed. She knows if she leaves things out, they will be thrown away. On weekends when we are home, I have her pick things up when it starts to get too chaotic, like, if you bring something out, you have to put something back. Otherwise, she would bring her entire playroom into the living room and I'd lose my mind. Childish threats, yes, but they work, for now. We do this, too; I try to do it right before dinner but if not, after bath they usually have a few minutes to chill before bedtime so we do it then. 7 I also threaten to vacuum up Calico Critters bits and pieces (hello, SILVERWARE?!?!?!) and LEGOs on the reg.

I ended up heading out to look for a picture frame and came home with a new wreath for the front door (goodbye, Christmas one), some random Valentine's Day stuff, and some artwork for my living room (thanks, Homegoods!) I did really well on that no-spend challenge until the third-to-last day of the month, lol.
Speaking of artwork, though... last night I was in my bathroom, DH was bathing the kids in theirs, and we heard this CRASH. I had two framed prints in the hallway and they had both fallen and broken into a dozen pieces on the wood floor. What the heck? They've been there since we moved in without issue, no idea what could have caused them to suddenly fall off. Clearly we have a ghost.

Now, of course I will come home today to them singing it or something.

I have vacuumed up a mashem...those things are not small. I was impressed it could actually happen, and that H was able to find it since I didn't and was prepared to buy a new vacuum. Now that E knows I will legit vacuum her shit up, she picks things up pretty quickly when the vacuum comes out.

Hi! It’s Monday... yay! <<<sarcasm.
M2 slept horribly, so I got little sleep. Got M to school on time by some miracle, then went to Autozone to get a new battery and it was still under warranty so free(yay!), then home to get us ready. M2’s eye is still not better, so I called the pedi and they want to see him so I scheduled it for later this afternoon. Was at work 2 hours and I get a call that he’s running a fever. 😩 I couldn’t get the appointment pushed up, so we’re at home until then.
Most of that is grammatically incorrect, but I have bigger fish to fry.

And that may be giving him more credit than is due.

jewels and tgrimes That was the first time I’ve seen him do anything like that. I was surprised, too. He isn’t heavy at all, so I guess his arms can support his weight. I was thinking that I need to sign him up for gymnastics.

I went ahead and scheduled M an appt with the pedi this afternoon. I know I'll probably have to wait forever there but at least I can harass her about getting a hold of the GI. It's been a week.
