Whoops it's Wednesday

We got ice last night. Im waiting on my in laws, who normally have a 40 minute drive, to tell me when they think they might be over. Evie's school is cancelled, so I may end up WFH for awhile this morning.

Oh no, joelies. I cannot imagine running outside with the ice that is accumulated on the edges of the roads. I hope you feel better!

My dad had his second opinion with an orthopedist yesterday. They did more xrays and let him see them so now hes satisfied that nothing is broke 🤦‍♀️ it's a severe deep tissue wound and will take 4 weeks at least, to heal. They took him to physical therapy so he has exercises to do for that and told him to switch to heat instead of ice. So hopefully we see some progress soon. I need him back to work. For my sanity.

I have a chiropractor appointment at 11. Thank God. My right hip is going to kill me before this baby is born. I have to send in registration and payment for J for preschool this fall. Hes estatic. And we decided to sign M up for soccer. Hes been begging and the community league just opened for registering. I hope he likes it!

H has an ENT appt this morning and then I’ll head into the office. Nothing like driving across town in rush hour for the appt, back to daycare and then across town the opposite direction for work. 🙄

I officially hate snow. Yeah I know it’s nice to look at whilst sitting by the fire and drinking wine etc. But try cycling with to two kids on snow that has slightly melted and then froze up overnight on cobble stones 😖😖😖. Meal prep in a bit and not much else on the agenda.

Aaand done! DH was kind enough to come take it away but he was NOT impressed that I'd initially finagled that on my own.

In other news, the boys were a disaster this morning. I tried to help as much as possible but they were both just crying about anything and everything. DH was a champ though. I swear he's been through the ringer the last week plus, with me being away, the craziness with my family, and now me being at least temporarily not the most helpful.

I’m in line waiting for preschool registration to begin at 9, I got here shortly after 8 and there are prob 30 people in front of me and another 30 behind. I guess I’ve been lucky to not have to do this til now, the last couple years we just registered as a new family in blissful/hopeful ignorance, and our school in FL was super laid back about it. You just turned in a form and check 😂

I have a desperate plea for any suggestions on getting my milk to dry up. I haven’t nursed in 10 days. One side is completely fine, the other is so horribly engorged. I’m taking sudafed and Motrin, wearing a sports bra, and spent all day yesterday alternating ice packs and cabbage leaves. I have a super busy and fun weekend coming up and I’m going to be pissed if my dam boob ruins it.

I never had to do it, but cabbage leaves in your bra are supposed to help.

Morning. Just dropped M2 at daycare and I’m about to go back because I forgot to give him his Zyrtec. His eyes are so goopy, so it’s the only reason I’m making that trip again.

I plan to have a day of cleaning. I have lots of laundry and tidying up to do. I hope M is mostly ok so I can through most of it.

tgrimes is wise. My hip feels so much better today. I even cancelled my chiro appt. Between all the stretching and sleeping with a pillow between my knees, I’m almost back to normal.... Except For the tweaked knee i got playing volleyball last night. Dh isn’t wrong calling me an old lady...

Peppermint tea is the only thing I can think of that I did that you're not already doing. It sucks so bad. I'm sorry!

kim22 cut down on fluids. Only drink when thirsty. If yoour body only gets the bare minimum of liquids and you don’t nurse it will stop producing milk.

Or you can start taking regular birth control pill.
