Weeks pregnant/Due date: 27 weeks today - due 4/22 Baby is the size of a: cucumber/ cauliflower? FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM Team: blue! 💙 Appointments: GD test today at 3:45 pm. Symptoms: His sweet little head is currently crushing my urethra. Lots of movement, he's a whirling dervish around 5am. Tons and tons of heartburn, constipation, pelvic pain. I'm wearing a belly support band for probably 75% of my day now and trying to do yoga poses to get him to move up into my uterus a bit more. Milestones: If you consider 27 weeks to be 3rd tri.... THIRD TRI! Rants/Raves/Vents: I really should have planned to have the damn blood test this morning, but H likes to go to all of my appts and he has to work today. I've been trying to clean up my diet anyway, but this weekend H and I indulged in specialty donuts, Publix subs (I got chicken tenders in mine - omg I forgot how much I miss Publix) and we made beef stew and homemade bread bowls for dinner last night. Granted everything is already digested, but I'm going to be super careful today. My usual morning consists of some OJ to down my fish oil and pre-natal vitamins, an apple around 11, and a salad with some kind of raspberry vinaigrette which I was told to forego. Hopefully I pass! Weeks pregnant/Due date: 31w4d (I have to check my app every week for this, I can't ever remember the week) RCS March 14
Baby is the size of a: Foam finger
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Blue
Appointments: Next Thursday I believe for normal 2 week OB.
Symptoms: I can't even think of any pregnancy symptoms because this cold/virus has taken over my life. I'm coughing all the time though which means I pee myself a little a million times a day 😣 He's head down now, E never was so this is new territory for me and so far a breech position is much more comfortable 🤣 the movements and pressure is not pleasant.
Milestones: At the u/s last week they saw that the fluid in his kidneys was normal now, and I feel like that was the last real "worry" I had with this guy. It feels really weird to be at a basically "normal" pregnancy at this point when so much was going on in the beginning.
Rants/Raves/Vents: So. Over. This. Cold. My OB said to call this week if it got worse, and it hasn't really but it also hasn't gotten better. I'm whining but I'm trying to be positive irl about it 😂
GTKY - what's the best book you've read recently?: Read.....recently?? Haha. MH did get me a book for Christmas I haven't read yet but it looks good. I can't remember the name of it though...

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 34 on weds, RCS feb 20
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Blue
Appointments: today for OB, tomorrow Endo and NST
Symptoms: insomnia has been brutal, I’m getting shooting pains in my cervix and I lost some of my MP yesterday, hork. My BP has had a few crazy readings but then they improve so idk, I’ll be asking the OB about it today.
Milestones: 34 weeks is a preterm baby, not a premature baby!
Rants/Raves/Vents: MH has been a real angel lately and I just appreciate his far we’ve come as a team/parents. We’ve both grown up so much together (my oldest turns 5 in a couple weeks and I’m very emoshunal about it)
GTKY - what's the best book you've read recently?: I’m too stupid to read right now. I not joking I can barely spare the brain cells to chat here. I would love to read more, I am usually a dedicated library patron. Right now I just fall asleep.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 26+4, April 25th Baby is the size of a: bowling pin FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM Team: pink Appointments: feb 7th, had my glucose test today and an US last week to check on my placenta Symptoms: SPD 😭 rolling over in bed is a nightmare and for some reason I thought walking all over ikea would be a good thing to do and I’m still paying for it 2 days later. Going to see MFM live soon (!!!) and I really think I overestimated my walking abilities when I bought the tickets. Milestones: washed baby clothes and newborn cloth diapers and loaded them into the dresser. Thanks for the advice on the yellow stains - everything came out! Rants/Raves/Vents: the US tech surprised me and did a 3D ultrasound this past week. Baby girl did a couple quick smiles which was amazing to see. GTKY - what's the best book you've read recently?: I have a long commute so I listen to audiobooks a lot. I really enjoyed Children of Blood and Bone and Lisa Jewell has become a favorite author recently.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 30+1, EDD March 31, induction at 39 weeks
Baby is the size of a: Zucchini
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM, third pregnancy
Team: Pink 💕
Appointments: Friday for NST. Seeing OB every 2 weeks now. Next appt on 1/31
Symptoms: Feeling big, peeing a lot, some pregsomnia, short of breath when I walk upstairs, some swelling in the afternoons/evenings
Milestones: 30 weeks!
Rants/Raves/Vents: I have to have weekly NSTs now, and my first one is this Friday.
I had a falling out with my mom at the end of October, and we just talked about it last Friday. It went ok. I was hoping for more, but you get what you get with her. I also told her about the TDaP requirement to make sure she (and everyone else) is current on the pertussis vaccine. She said “we’ll see”. She said she would consider getting the vaccine. I told her it was non-negotiable. My dad has already sent proof that he’s current on his, and he asked her if she was going to do it. She also told him “we’ll see”. He told her that I’m not kidding, and I’m not. If she doesn’t get it and show proof, she’s not coming in my house around my daughter.
GTKY - what's the best book you've read recently?: Umm...I’m in the middle of a book called Hell’s Princess that I need to finish. I started it almost a year ago! It’s a true story about a lady who lured men to her farm with the promise of marriage, and she killed them and stole all of their money. It’s interesting, but I don’t ever make time to read.

GTKY - what's the best book you've read recently?: I've been reading Becky Baliey's Easy to Love Difficult to discipline because I have a strong willed 3 year old. It's actually really great.

orangehibiscus, I'm very extra about vaccines and little babies. I would totally do the same thing if one of my parents or relatives refused to get the vaccine. Your baby, your piece of mind. tapdancer, that sounds like a book that I need to read. Right now I'm reading "How to Be a Happier Parent" but something to help me manage my stubborn 3-year old is needed!

Thanks @ges072115! I don’t understand why people are anti-vax. She wasn’t always this way. I was fully vaccinated as a child. She switched about 10 years ago I think. I mean is she really going to let this be the reason she won’t get to see her newest granddaughter?!?!? Blows my mind.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 34+3
Baby is the size of a: Cantaloupe
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Green
Appointments: Tomorrow. Iron recheck. It was a little lower than they wanted at 28 weeks, so hopefully its up a little now. I've been doubling up on the supplements plus eating a ton of spinach, beans and meat and my belly will be happy to back off if I can.
Symptoms: just a low baby. My body is definitely doing some pre labor work. My last labor was only an hour and I'm preparing for another quick labor and delivery. My homebirth midwife said last week "I'm glad I live really close this time". She almost missed the birth last time. She was coaching me and DH via speaker phone.
Milestones: Getting closer!
Rants/Raves/Vents: My sister threw a small sprinkle for me this weekend. It was just my immediate family and closest 3 friends. It was perfect. It was nice to get a few new things for babe and we have a decent start on a diaper supply!
GTKY - what's the best book you've read recently?: I haven't read anything recently. I'm hoping to get a couple of new books before the baby comes.

Your baby, your piece of mind. ] I agree with this, 100%. Vaccines are a non-negotiable for me. A college friend’s little girl almost died at 4 months due to pertussis - I’m not messing around. I mean, sure, chances are things will be fine, but why the hell would you chance that?

loorin, such a sweet face! As for me: Weeks pregnant/Due date: 31w2d, delivery March 4 Baby is the size of a: two coconuts FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM/TTM (twins) Team: 💙💙 Appointments: Next week I've got a growth check, OB appt, and first NST. Symptoms: Just feeling huge so finally wearing the belly support band I got. It feels a little restrictive, but I needed something. I am really over going to work! I wish our country allowed pregnant women some time to rest before delivery. I'm considering asking my OB what she'd need to sign me out from work so I could take STD (portion of pay), but still hanging in there for now. (Sorry I complain so much, I'm really so happy, it's just so physically hard!) I do think I'll take a week of PTO that last week before delivery, at a minimum. Milestones: Sprinkle this weekend! Rants/Raves/Vents: Warning health insurance rant ahead. Any US health insurance experts in here? The MFM office I've been going to since Oct for my dopplers/growth checks just sent a bill for $1,650 for services through Dec. My Explanation of Benefits says they are Out of Network, but when I called to make the initial appt they definitely said they were in network. I've already hit my in-network OOP max in 2018, so I really don't want to start paying towards another deductible! That's... a lot of money. 😭 The weird thing is that the anatomy scan there and consult with the MFM doctor was "in network" and paid by insurance. The scans are all the same 2 techs! And the doctor's name is literally on the door. Should I start with the medical office or call my insurance first? Just, ugh. GTKY - what's the best book you've read recently?: Trevor Noah's Born A Crime, so good! Share any U/S or bump pics if you'd like:

Ew Eames that's ridiculous about the bill. I think I'd start with the office and make sure they don't see anything weird/code something wrong, and can confirm that they take your insurance and then call insurance, since they may need to resubmit things anyways. Sorry you're dealing with that - what a nuisance!! The healthcare system here is such a joke.

Yikes Eames. I think I'd start with the office but definitely get in touch with both. There's so much error in medical billing it's ridiculous. I'm sorry you have to deal with that!

Eames I'd also start with the office - for what it's worth, when my daughter was born, the hearing test they did in the hospital was done by an out of network provider even though the hospital was in network. I'm a little fuzzy on the details, but basically my insurance company "negotiated" with the out of network provider through me. They told me they would pay "$X" towards a hearing test, I passed that info along to the hearing people. The hearing people agreed to accept that much as payment (it was literally a small fraction of the bill they sent me). Insurance company sent me a check which I signed over to the hearing people. It was very strange, but everyone involved seemed familiar with this type of process.

Eames, I've been fighting my insurance co since June. They never applied any of my visits to my OOP max. My OOP max was $1000, which I blew through between fertility appts, OB appts, and regular doc appts. Right now we're starting to tackle all the bills that keep coming and praying hard we get a refund from insurance bc we don't want to go to collections. So annoying. I wish you better luck! I called again last week to follow up, the guy said he sees a discrepancy, but has to forward it to that department. With the shutdown, he said it'd be at least 40 business days if not more. Weeks pregnant/Due date: 30+3 with twins FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM Team: double blue Appointments: had three yesterday- u/s, OB, and iron infusion for anemia. Go weekly now for infusions, see OB again in 2 weeks for NST and appt. Symptoms: bad anemia, I also have a raging yeast infection. Milestones: hit 30 weeks! Rants/Raves/Vents: OB yesterday said they are no longer going to let me work up until delivery week. Which makes me feel ill because we can really use the money. So now it looks like I only have 4 weeks of work left, as they are writing me out at 34 weeks, pending next appts cervical check (they couldn't do one yesterday thanks to the raging YI). Also, H finally crossed more names off the list. By Charlie and Phillip. But it means the original list got taken down to 12 names he finds acceptable, and now we're down to 7 names. Front runner for one of the boys is still Liam (William). GTKY - what's the best book you've read recently?: A student handed me the book she read in LA and I read it this weekend. It was good. I totally cried. Blended by Sharon M Draper.

Eames I had that issue with our fertility clinic. I had an exception granted to go to the doctor because there weren’t any in-network providers in a 100 mile radius or something. But all the scans were out of network and their answer was that because I could still go to a different in-network place for scans. Mind you I was going twice a week for a year and needed results ASAP, so not really feasible. We ended up hitting our out of network OOP max which is absurd. But yeah, I hate insurance.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 30 weeks due date April 1
Baby is the size of a: Bunch of bananas
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Pink
Appointments: 1/29. check up
Symptoms: left hip pain, cramps and swelling in my legs and braxton hicks multiple times per day.
Milestones: Passed glucose test
Rants/Raves/Vents: just trying to probably do to much... but i want to declutter my house before baby and there is 6 years of stuff to go through...which is hard to do with 2 small children running around.
GTKY - what's the best book you've read recently?: um I am a super slow book reader currently, I read a book called summer sisters in July while on vacation. It was decent but not great. I am reading how to raise a wild child right now about 1 page at a time.

Eames i had something similar with a scan during my first pregnancy. It took several go rounds of calls to the office, billing and my insurance to figure it out. I ended up appealing the claim with my insurance because insurance had processed it incorrectly. I hope you have a similar outcome!

Baby is the size of a: bunch of bananas
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM who has forgotten everything about babies
Team: Pink

Milestones: no more unisom! My appetite has decreased, but nausea is mostly gone!

GTKY - what's the best book you've read recently?: Well, I went a whole year without reading and then read 2 books over Christmas break - Beartown by Fredrik Backman and The Dutch Wife by Ellen Keith. Both were good reads. Next up is All the Missing Girls or Our House.
