Thanks, all. I forgot the bill at home today but I will be calling both my insurance and the medical office tomorrow and will keep you posted.

I spent the whole day in the hospital for fetal monitoring because baby was having tachycardia again for hours. By the time I was sent down to ultrasound he was fine though, and it was lovely to see his sweet little face. His lips and cheeks and chin look exactly like my D1/ husband! I am spent now and so sore from being still on my back all day. I’m nervous the rest of my NSTs will go like this and feeling anxious about who we can rely on for helping with the kids. MIL declined to help DH out today because she was packing for an upcoming trip. Ooookay. Thankfully a cousin stepped in but it made me feel really uncertain about whether H will be able to stay with me in the hospital afterall. I hate flakey people!

Glad baby boy looked okay but how stressful. My last 3 out of 4 NSTs have been nonreactive and I've required extra monitoring and US. It can be so nerve wracking. These babies need to calm down. I hope some family steps up so you don't have that worry on top of everything.

It is stressful, sometimes I don’t realize how anxious I’ve been about him until I get home and I am alone wondering if he’s ok right now with no one monitoring him. I know you know how long those days are too! When’s your next NST?

Tlex on Thursday. Possibly my last one. I had a BPP and growth scan yesterday. My anxiety is out of control most days lately. As much as all the extra monitoring is stressful so is being home worrying without it!

And then also always thinking about our bigger kids at home... blah!

Tlex Sorry for the long day, but glad baby is doing better! Is the heart issue one that will be resolved with birth? Also, omg to your MIL.

I want to punch my husband in the face for insisting he go to every appointment with me. I failed my glucose test by 12 pts. I KNEW I'd fail having it done at 3:45. Fucking fuck.

Dang I'm sorry you failed. I kind of laughed, with E, MH was at every appointment too, asking questions and taking notes, and he's only been to 2 appointments this round, the a/s and the other just because he happened to get a snow day and was off, lol. He even suggested staying home with E that day but I was getting an u/s so I told him to come. Interesting how different things are this time around!

I mean, generally I love that he's so involved and excited. He's a great partner and he's going to be a fantastic dad. I'm fine with scheduling most appointments in the afternoon to accommodate his schedule. But, my doctor's office only does the 3 hour tests in the mornings, so naturally because I scheduled it for 8am on Friday, he has a house to inspect at 9. COOLCOOLCOOL, NO WORRIES, I'LL HANG OUT AT THE LAB ALONE. *flings self out window*

His heart looked good on the ultrasound yesterday so hopefully it’s nothing structural/congenital etc but that’s definitely where my head goes.

I’m sorry, failing sucks! It’s not what you want to hear but if you failed by 12 points, you would have failed at any time of day... that’s a big fail I’ll keep things crossed you pass the next one but I would mentally prepare for otherwise. I’m sorry! GD sucks balls but it’s nothing you can control, it’s all hormonal and based on the placenta.

I think it was really a 2pt fail - my OB considers 130 to be the cut off, and it seems like everywhere else considers it to be 140. I got a 142 reading.

It’s so annoying that every ob has their own comfort level on what’s a pass or fail! The numbers endocrinologists like to see for fasting etc can also vary quite a bit between doc to doc.

Obviously it would have been a fail at the other places too, but I feel like 2 pts non fasting when the cut off is 140 is way different than 12 pts when the cut off is 130.

photomama2013 your birth sounds alot like my second. It was only an hour so the first midwife got there 30 mins before and the 2nd thankfully got to the house just as dd2 made her debut. I am grateful my midwives are only about 10 minutes away this time!

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 32 weeks
Baby is the size of a:naked tail armadillo
FTM/STM/TTM/etc:ttm
Team:girl
Appointments: today. Appt was great. Just went over birth plan and worries from my last births. Fundal height is measuring 2 weeks ahead so baby had quite the growth spurt. My midwife was feeling baby's position and she is still head down but the baby was very offended by the poking and kept moving away when trying to get her heartbeat checked which my girls thought was funny.
Symptoms: feeling good, some tossing and turning at night, baby feels really low, forgetful
Milestones:...
Rants/Raves/Vents: we are over the freezing cold temperatures here which is lovely and now we are getting a ton of snow today which I love(when we don't have to be anywhere). My dds woke up early and have gone insane today though. So much fighting and nonsense. I think we will have to go have some more outdoor time.
GTKY - what's the best book you've read recently?: I was trying to read Birthing from Within but haven't. My brain is tired. Most of the time it is children's literature. Our current read aloud is The Borrowers.

lemondrop, I failed the 1 hour terribly, I think I had like a 164???? I also took it at 3pm, but I took it at 3pm with my daughter and passed it fine. Might be a fluke. In any case I passed the 3 hour by a huge margin. The test made me feel like shit though, but the waiting was quiet and relaxing. I brought knitting. I would plan an easy rest of day though because I was so tired after and very shaky and sweaty. (The sugar? The fasting?) Good luck.

My fasting level was 72, and the midwife was a little surprised, like she expected it to be higher? I did almost pass out though- I have really deep veins, and the phlebotomist was digging around trying to find one, and suddenly everything got fuzzy and I was sweating and shaking. So now I’m in a private room watching Who Do You Think You Are and waiting this out.
