How has my day been you may be wondering? Well, we had our 15mo well baby visit today where the pedi told me my kid should have ~4 words (loose use of words imo) and doesn't. Should be walking and isnt. And when my H came home, he asked if the dishes in the dishwasher were clean and when I said yes he proceeded to put the dirty bowl in the sink and walk away. ((Hugs)) |

Long story short DD2 is sick again. Influenza A. So this would be the 2nd time she’s gotten the flu in 4 months (with a flu shot in n their for good measure too!). I’d say I’m surprised but at this point I’m just jaded. Doctor is going to refer us for something to do with hemoglobin testing (????) I’m glad others are recognizing that she is sick all the dang time. We can’t do testing until she’s recovered from the flu but I’m happy to know we might get some answers sooner rather than later with her. Aside from vomiting once each night and no appetite she is pretty much her normal, happy, ornery self. Today was her best day yet so FX tonight no vomit. She hasn’t had a fever at all week. Doctor said we can thank the flu shot for milder flu symptoms. So PSA for flu vaccine and all that shit Nooooo! 😟 baby danvers . I was just chatting with my neighbor who subs at the elementary school and she said confirmed cases of flu A is going around here. Hoping baby will recover quickly so you can go ahead with the necessary steps to figure out why. ((Hugs)) really really hoping it’s just her body not liking bugs 😟 |

I’ll have to catch up later tonight but I just finished stuffing my garbage bin with my perennials and about done pumping and need to run to get DS from school. codex320 has M been getting EIs everytime she has a cold? She might need tubes? cythe I’m sorry your 15 month visit didn’t seem helpful and insightful ...it’s hard and f your pedi is concerned did s/he refer for another EVal? nt I would Also push for another EVal cos you have nothing to lose at this point and getting her some help sooner (really really hoping she doesn’t need it and just obstinate,) don’t want to alarm you but often times there are many related things if there really is a problem and it’s even harder being FTP since you don’t know what to look for or know what’s normal and not. Maybe chat with the pedi over the phone about it sinc I think sometimes, it’s hard to think straight and inquire more in the middle of checkups. |

She’s so happy for having Influenza A. 😑Poster child for getting a flu shot I suppose. She’s is *almost* back to normal... just in time for a weekend forecast of 5-8 more inches of snow! ❄️  |

I need to actually do work today but I'm trying very hard to just play video games on my PC instead. Unfortunately (fortunately?) for me, the PC is hardline blocking me by not opening any of my pc games. It knows... This was how I was the last time I played a game ALL WEEKEND in college and I never want to play another game...it's been 25 yrs.  |

CoachTsWife I get it with the snack sharing. DD1 was super picky and wanted nothing to do with my meals or snacks. DD2 wants everything, from coffee to chips to hot salsa and is pissed when you don’t share 🤦♀️ I have taken to eating some snacks while doing chores and hoping they don’t notice I’m eating and emptying the dishwasher Totally this! |

CoachTsWife I’m so sorry for what you have been going through these past few months. I remember when DH couldn’t lift LO or DS1 during his vasectomy recovery, and that was only for 2 weeks. It was so hard - I just can’t imagine. I know you have that Mexico trip coming up soon. Hoping the boys are good for you these next few weeks - you really deserve a break! Also - your boys look adorable. The one of your youngest getting into the pantry...LO makes the same face when he knows he’s being naughty. danvers She is so cute!! That little pink nose. I am so sorry for the flu A - it’s going around here again too. At least she had a mild case. I hope the hemoglobin test sheds some insight into what might be contributing to her frequent sickness. Sorry I haven’t been around this week. The AQI has been really bad, so I’ve been trying to keep the kids indoors and entertain them without having everyone feel too cooped up. The AQI finally improved to a moderate level today - wohoo!
LO has his 15 month checkup today. He took his 3 shots like a champ and did pretty well. He has been a grump at night due to molars coming in though. I’m so tired. Normally he sleeps in his crib from 7:30pm - 2 or 4am, and then I bring him in my bed to eat/sleep until 7am or so. The last week he has been waking at 10 or 11pm and then just wanting to soothe himself with nursing alllllll night. I hope things get back to normal soon. So tired. 😴 💤

I need to go to bed but I just needed to sit for a moment after sorting and packing up all of babies clothes he no longer fits in from like 6+ months ago. So that's what I've been busy with along with sorting a couple of boxes of clothes my sister brought this summer for big bro and organizing his new closet, taking advantage of the good weather and cutting down my perennials and also going through baby stuff we no longer use/need and donating them and I wasn't abel to do much of it all last week due to DS being home from his cold and cough. Lil fella has had a runny nose now since the weekend. I am hoping it will go away soon.

Taitai I skimmed read about the AQI from last week...is it exacerbated by the eruption of Anak Krakatau in the Sunda Straits? We're also teething hardcore over here and he's been extra fussy with crap naps and MOTN wake ups too.

We were supposed to have our 15 month appt. yesterday but when we got to the clinic it was apparently cancelled  They said they called and left a vm a couple of weeks ago to reschedule. I got home and of course checked the caller id and the recorded messages but nothing from them...so pissed cos it's hard to get a hold of our pedi so now we have to wait a month and that was me begging them to squeeze us in asap into his schedule. |

I hadn’t heard anything about eruptions causing the poor AQI - but who knows, maybe that is making things extra worse? We get poor aqi like this every year in the dec - feb/mar timeframe. Mostly due to open burning, vehicle exhaust, weather patterns, and a lack of green space in the city. Blegh! |

duskymonkey The is nothing worse then getting the kids all ready, packed up and somewhere. When they didn’t hear back, why didn’t they make a second call if they even made the other call in the first place. cythe That’s cute, I love baby clapping. Wait until she starts PT and starts cheering you on for using the bathroom.

Kids were well enough to go to daycare today. I’m currently getting my hair done and happy to be out of the house and not covered in sick kids and snot. Things I never in a million years thought I’d be saying 😂
I’m trying a new girl so hopefully this works out since it’s cheaper and closer than my usual place.

I tried to look it up but felt like I was fishing in the dark so I’ll wait till we go back to get the info on what labs before I google spiral. |

We aside from the peeling, the seat area is cracking and there is a hole in one spot... I’m worried the baby will get stuck. 😬 We haven’t had time to go shopping for a new one and I’m debating on just ordering a cheapish one online and just being done with it. |

Lazy weekend over here. My day is going pretty well, because they had delicious Honolulu bread at the Japanese bakery this morning!!! It’s so delicious, and it’s always sold out. I am patting myself on the back for getting there in time to snag one. LO and DS1 will be pleased 👍

Good morning! We are getting some cold weather from these winter storms. We are driving an hour away to see my nephews band concert and dinner after. I’ve already studied the menu and picked like 5 things I want.
Also got a letter from a state we used to live in that I have money I didn’t get from my maternity leave with DS1. So yay!

DS pinched his finger HARD in a door this morning, it was pretty squashed and he was screaming. It was particularly bad because he closed himself into our walk in closet so then he was blocking the door from me getting to him and I had to knock him over to get in and that made him more upset 😬 We ran it under cold water and it’s a bit swollen now but otherwise fine. Poor baby 😢
