I went to our local bridal expo today and I had so much fun! There were tons of people there and I met a LOT of awesome industry professionals. Most of which were friendly and there was a photographer who was also new to the area (last year) who said when he first arrived some others invited him out for a drink or some coffee and just talked shop, so he extended the invite to me as well.
I'm pretty pumped and feeling a lot more confident!

Both kids seem to have contracted some sort of stomach bug/cold thing 😷 DD2 has no fever but pukes. Plays fine, sleeps fine, just pukey the last 24 hrs or so. DD1 does have a fever, sore throat, and zero appetite. We took her in yesterday because I thought she might have strep like I did last week but she was negative. Just sick is what they said.
We have done so much laundry today. So much. H is actually at the store now to get more laundry soap while I put DD2 down. I really just want to bleach the whole house tonight...

doodlemommy Not trying to TTC here but mine have been super irregular and it’s very frustrating. danvers Fx you can get the laundry done and things don’t escalate with the kids. I wish I could just douse the kids in sanitizer and disinfectant. H is off on a business trip tomorrow and is supposed to be back Wednesday, he’s driving so hopefully the weather will cooperate.

danvers we have a sick kid here too, she’s got the runs, fever and bad gas and is fussy so I think her belly hurts. So sleep is a precious commodity here. Hope you are getting some! Have been reading everyone’s updates but have not had time to reply. I have to do a boat load of work travel over the next few weeks. I’m really worried about the TSA. I can’t blame people for not working when they’re not getting paid but I’m thinking it’s all going to make for some long lines and general misery. 😬

We thanked them for working because this shutdown sucks and is hurting no one but the good men and women who work for this government

AQI improved enough for us to go swimming yesterday, which was great to burn off the kids’ energy. Of course it’s awful again this morning - but thank goodness for air purifiers.
In good news - I just booked tickets for my Dad to come out in April! Very excited, as it will be about 1 yr and 3 months since we’ve seen him when he comes out. We are going to take him to a nice beach resort while he is here. I know he will love it.
My mom and step-dad are coming out in 3 weeks too. Squeee! Can’t wait to see them - we are also going to take them to the beach for a quick visit.
It’s soooooo much easier for family to come here to visit. Thankful all the grandparents will have 1 visit out here this year.

We got around 10 inches of (really wet, heavy) snow this weekend. We lost power yesterday afternoon around 4pm. We finally decided to pack up and go to my ILs and we had the van loaded and were literally about a minute from driving away and our power came back on. What timing! Every single thing outside is covered in snow - it is SO pretty. Unfortunately, tree limbs are breaking from the weight, hence all the downed lines and power outages. We're pretty lucky we were only w/o power for a couple hours. It was all a grand adventure for DS1 (dark house, flash lights, rarely used fireplace on) and he was so confused when we pulled the van back in the garage, lol. LO was mostly just hangry since all we didn't eat supper on time.

CD33, no AF, negative test (not really disappointed since we decided to try after my most likely fertile days this month). It’s just annoying because I want AF to come so that we CAN start trying 😠 Fertility friend predicts tomorrow but really that’s just an average because my cycles have been all over the place so who knows
I just ordered myself a bunch of wondfo ovulation test strips. With cycles this wonky I think I’m going to have to test regularly to have any chance of figuring out my cycle and my fertile days since I clearly can’t blindly trust the fertility friend predictions

doodlemommy those little wondfo ovulation strips are how my DS happened. 😆 it works! The only kinda tricky thing is you have to test at the right time of day. For most people hormones don’t peak until mid afternoon. Hope AF shows so you can get the show in the road! Baby has been fever free today thank goodness, but she still slept like garbage last night. Currently trying to get her to go to sleep and that’s not going well either. This mama needs sleep 😥
