Hello! I put the decorations away today and the second load of laundry is in the dryer. I'm exhausted but staying far away from DH until the Chargers game is over. I'm watching one of those ESPN tear jerkers and sobbing. I'm in a weird mood because this might be exactly what I needed.

Hi hi - sunny gorgeous day here so we hightailed it out to go hiking. The usual ones we go to are national parks, so we went to a state park and it was a great hike. Figured we could go but don't want to stress the parks since so many have reports of people taking advantage of them 😔. J is able to keep up and N did fine in the backpack. Now making Mac and cheese (for myself) and going to keep working on the house. My class starts this week so I'm trying to get more done before my free time evaporates 😩.

Yeah, or like pointer? I guess I'll have to do one of those DNA tests some day. He's got a sweet, laid back disposition for a 4 month old puppy. Do you think he'll double in size? My vet is kind of a stoner, so he was not helpful 😉

I love having our sitter back in town. DH and I just got back from seeing Instant Family and it was cute. Very touching and of course had some laughs; I thought it was better than the critics gave it credit for.

I have to get ready for the work/school week today and we will attempt to replace the rubber door seal on the washer. I tried to schedule a repairman, but there were no openings while MH is home the next few days, so after watching YouTube videos of how to do it, I decided it looked like we could tackle it on our own. Fingers crossed we don’t screw up our washer.

Let me know how it goes. We are debating doing that vs buying a new washer. Mine is so moldy and I have done every single cleaning trick on YouTube and it’s not better.

That’s why we are changing mine. I want a top loader and hoping to sell this one before we move so I can do that. I may have to bring it because it looks like we may have to look into buying instead of renting so there will go all my monies, if we do. 🙄

Dh is went to bed early. I’m sitting on the couch eating b&j whilst watching Gilmore girls, score!!!

I bought a programmable thermostat since we don’t need to have the house warm all day anymore. It requires a drill and I should not be near power tools so now I have to wait for Dh to do it. I still have no curtains in our guest room after 2.5yrs because he hasn’t hung the rod😞

I can’t really tell from the pic. Maybe post one of him standing including his paws. Pay size often predicts how big of a dog they will be. How much does he weigh now?

lfig did you hear about the person that died at Yosemite and wasn’t discovered for days because there’s no patrols? This is all just crazy!

How are you guys holding up on that? You have so much going on right now and with this economic insecurity it must be so hard.

I'm making soup. I thought minestrone at first, but now I think it's just veggie. Cadence has already said she won't be eating it. She doesn't soup.

The weather is nice, so I'll take her out in a bit to ride her bike. Yesterday was nicer, but I fell asleep and didn't take her.

Our furnace broke and MH can't get some part he needs til tomorrow. MH and the kids are at my in-laws and the kids will stay tonight. MH keeps texting me telling me his parents want us to stay too. I don't want to!!

We didn’t shower at the hotel because we planned on working out when we got home. So now we’re home, worked out, and have no hot water! Ugh! We’re going to my parents for dinner so i guess we’ll just shower there and hope we can get it fixed tomorrow.

Cadence decided not to ride her bike. Mh was going to take her, but she freaked out and decided she was too scared to ride. No idea where that came from because she has ridden before with no issues.

I did a load of dishes and I have a ton of laundry to do but haven’t really started. E has been pretty clingy and LO has been a terror.

I love my mom but she kept giving LO excuses when he was naughty (like he’s jealous of the baby, misses his mom’s attention, etc). Now that she’s gone he’s saying those things.

Hoping this is short lived.

DH is considering getting tickets to the Chargers at the Patriots next week, the same day I fly out to Calgary. So he's having this weird conversation with his Dad about them possibly being available to possibly babysit. Any conversation with him and his Dad is awkward so this is... Something.

Right? Both ours went out last year around this time. The heat, I can see (why AC always goes in the summer) but water, too? Crazy.

I did hear about that! They have patrols, but just can’t cover everywhere like usual because it’s limited. Probably half staffed with LE. And no one else. So more areas to cover.

I joked that with what S has going on right now, at least I don’t have to take any leave. I’m out of sick leave. I have about 260 hours of annual leave and another 120 hours of reward time off. But I hate dipping into it. This year I’ve had to use more leave than ever!

I’m getting nervous as this drags on and when I get back home from STL later this week I will probably be checking in with some of our small town businesses to see if anyone needs some temporary help. We are going to need some kind of income coming in. MH still has to work with no pay right now so he can’t go do anything else right now. But I’m nervous about this dragging on for a while. This is teaching me the importance of saving better (something we are not good at)!
