I think this hospital is trying to convert to individual patient rooms. The new wing is set up that way. But the old wing where we are is not. And I actually commented to a nurse yesterday and said I didn’t understand how with HIPPA a shared room is still a thing. YES! it is super awkward when I go into a pts room and talk to them about my studies while someone is in the next bed. But you know, they can pull the curtain around and all My super sonic hearing allows me to hear through the curtain...that’s how I know the roommate had brain surgery, and she’s having a short MRI later to check on things, then possibly being discharged later. |

Morning. I’m glad it’s Friday but it really doesn’t feel like it is, such a weird week. H has school this morning and I just feel like being lazy today. Maybe I’ll bundle the kids up this afternoon and let them play in the snow. lfig I hope they get you in ASAP! wedding that’s so hard. I hope you have a good afternoon with him getting all the cuddles. |

M woke me up at 1 because she was scared & it took her over an hour to go back to sleep. Then H was crying around 3. I need more coffee. We had this same night. Josie woke up at 1 saying she had a nightmare, then 115 that she was still scared. I went back to bed and Charlie woke up at 3 saying the same thing. I know they’re only short interactions, but mama needs her sleep. |

did a number on his back and then going to school for two days. They called in a stronger pain killer and muscle relaxer last night so he’s a tiny bit better, but man I have sympathy for him. He had to use a step ladder to get into bed last night.

M has not been having a great time at my ILs. He is homesick. Both times I spoke to him yesterday, he was complaining about wanting to go home. Poor kid. MH picks him up today. I think if M2 was there it would be a bit easier. I need him to get used to it, because I plan on sending him a couple times a year for a weekend once we move since we’ll be close enough to meet up.

It’s 8;30 and I’m still lounging in bed. Don’t be jealous, it’s literally because I was up all night with C. I’m trying to break her of night nursing and she is.... not pleased. We still cosleep, which I’m fine with, but girlfriend will literally pull down my shirt and latch on. And then screams at me when I take it away and just try to give her a cuddle. At 4am I finally gave up and put her back in the pack in play next to me. She screamed, then would wear herself out, then wake up and remember she was pissed and scream again. Thank god it’s Friday so dh can help me tonight. I ended up sending him to another room last night because I felt bad that he had to get up for work.

Morning and happy Friday. My calendar is insane today and I'm already mentally checked out, so this could be a bumpy day. Also I now get SUPER dry skin on my face during AF versus breaking out, and I think it's way worse. It's so bad that it turns red on either side of my chin. I keep reminding myself that it'll be over in another couple days but I may call up the dermatologist because even my night cream doesn't touch it.
I'm really looking forward to the weekend. We need to tell Colin that winter league soccer was cancelled since he was supposed to start on Sunday. I hope he's not too disappointed - DH still wants to get him skiing as much as possible and he's been taking them to the bounce house place or to the trampoline park almost every weekend. They really need an outlet during the winter months or they just... I guess you could call it wrestling?? This will be my life for the next 15-20 years... Sigh.
