I won't even go shopping right now. I'm a lot fluffier than I've ever been and don't know if/when I'll ever get back to my somewhat normal body. I've really wanted to go through my closet and get rid of a bunch of clothes but I don't know if I'll ever fit into some of them again, but I don't want to get rid of them because I might fit someday...

brenna I went through every article of clothing that I own just recently and I have so much stuff to donate. I probably cleared out nearly half of my entire wardrobe. Honestly, I probably could've gotten rid of more. ETA: I did keep some things that currently don't fit, but only if I really felt it was reasonable that I might fit in it again. Plus a few sentimental things that I still just can't bring myself to part with yet.

What set me off today with the post partum body issues is that I really need to buy new underwear. I threw away basically everything in my purge because I honestly hated and never wore 95% of the underwear I owned! But I can't even seem to find underwear that fit right 😞

But I can't even seem to find underwear that fit right 😞 I have an underwear drawer filled with stuff I never wear. My current favorites are the Gillian O'Malley brand from Target. They are the only ones I've found for me that actually stay on my butt and don't give me a wedgie. My butt had pretty much disappeared since having kids so I don't have much to keep underwear in place haha

tbirdlove I feel the same. I had to do a life insurance physical yesterday and stepped on the scale for the first time since the baby was born and it was not a nice feeling. I weigh the most I ever have not pregnant, and I am not one of those people who loses weight from BF, my body seems to hang onto extra pounds for dear life. It's hard, because I don't want to jeopardize breastfeeding, but I really need to get my stuff together and make better choices about being active and not eating crap. Even if I don't lose weight, I should cut the extra sugar and junk. Doesn't help I'm starving all the time...

Dramaphile - I'm the same with not losing weight while breastfeeding. Everyone tells you the weight will melt off from nursing and it's pretty depressing when it doesn't. I'm really trying to go easy on myself until I'm done nursing but it would be so nice to be one of those people who loses weight while nursing.

Pretty sure I've actually gained weight this time around since the initial postpartum/birth weight loss, it's so frustrating! I guess for some of us, our bodies go into starvation mode to conserve fat for milk production. On one hand, my milk supply is great! On the other hand....

we've been getting double naps almost every day! It's amazing! When dd2 switches to two naps (I forget what age that happens) and their naps are completely opposite times I'm going to be so sad.

Two summers ago we went to Michigan with my brother and sister in law and their two kids that have about the same age gap and between the three kids we pretty much always had one kid sleeping. One day they were all awake at the same time and we ran out to the sand dunes as fast as we could!

The actual temp here today is currently - 5° with a windchill of nearly - 30°. Schools are all canceled and many businesses are closed.
I've been working on purging the kitchen today. It feels good!

That's crazy tbirdlove. Someone from my DS1 BMB posted a screen shot of her weather app and it says feels like -49*. I can't even imagine going outside in that.

Brrrrr I'm so glad we aren't in the Midwest!
I'm so tired today. We went to the Lion King last night which was amazing! But didn't get home until 11 then dd2 woke up at midnight, 2, 4 and 7. I thought dd1 might have a UTI because she's been saying it hurts when she goes to the bathroom and has a fever so I took her to the pediatrician today. All tests were negative so I don't know what's going on with her. Only 3 hours until bedtime!

The past few days DD has only been napping for 30-40 mins. She goes down easy, but just wakes up too soon. She's in ok spirits most of the day, but I feel like she should be getting a little more sleep than that during the day. I wonder if this is the start of the sleep regression. Her night sleep is still good though so far, so who knows.

DD was doing that too and still wakes up about 45 minutes after falling asleep but I just leave her in her crib and 99% of the time she falls back sleep (sometimes it takes 20+ minutes for her to go back to sleep) we usually get 2 hour long naps now after I've started leaving her. Maybe try that (unless she's really upset) and see if she'll go back to sleep.

Other times she'll start crying after laying awake for a few minutes or quickly after waking. I've tried giving her a few minutes to fuss, but she just gets more upset so I go and get her. And I may have spoken too soon about night sleep being ok! So far tonight she's been up crying twice after only 45 mins each time. I fully expected to get a huge burp or some gas out of her the way she was so upset and arching her back. But nada.

She also hasn't been rolling to her tummy for naps yesterday and today and tonight for sleep, which she'd been doing for all sleep since she figured out how.
ETA: She rolled to her tummy shortly after I posted this. Hopefully she's good now!

I have been sick all but maybe 2-3 weeks since dd2 was born. Both dds and I am sick today. They both have fevers and dd1 has a runny nose and cough. I feel like I'm starting to get a fever too and have a runny nose. Come on immune system, let's work a little harder at keeping illnesses away! Same here, we've had multiple colds since he was born, including a bout of RSV. Preschool plague just keeps coming back around! I am so tired of being sick and/or dealing with sick husband and kids.

whyyyy does C need to poop at 4 in the morning??? the past few nights, He wakes up at like 4 or 5 in the morning gassy and cranky and needing to poop and won't nurse back to sleep. Finally put him back in the crib and he grunted for a while and then pooped and farted and I changed him and he fiiiinally nursed and fell back asleep, but wouldn't go back in the crib and ended up in the bed with me. I really want him to sleep in the crib because I sleep super light when he's next to me. And of course he wakes up when I have to go to work and try and transfer him back to the crib, which works maybe 25% of the time, so then I have cranky husband who is woken up earlier.

It took 30-45 minutes of her crying every time I tried to lay her down, then she pooped and went to sleep. So, I guess I'm back on track! DS is still doing about the same - 1-3 wakeups per night, but easier to settle than when things were out of control. Some nights he goes down ok, others take a little longer. His naps had gotten horrible as well, but they are better too. Some better than others. Although I've had to shorten them to wake him up at a reasonable time so that he'll be able to sleep at bedtime.

Dd2 was up every 2-3 hours last night. She ate like she was starving every single time. I don't understand how some nights she goes 10+ hours and she's fine and other nights she wants to eat every 2 hours. 🤔
