Nymeria, brenna I hope the tooth pops through soon and that your kiddos get over those colds soon. Back to back sickness sounds so awful - I'm sorry 😞

My poor dog... (a bit of dog TMI)
He loves the snow and loves to lay in it but yesterday he must have either started to get frostbite on the skin around the opening to his penis or the skin must have stuck to the ice a bit when he stood up because we realized yesterday afternoon the skin is all red and a bit swollen. It wasn't like that Saturday and he spent a ton of time playing in the snow yesterday morning so that's why we're thinking snow related not an infection, but still...poor dog!
Vet couldn't get me in today so I'm taking him to get checked out tomorrow afternoon. He's not licking it, is acting fine, and seems to be peeing ok so they didn't seem overly concerned but I still feel so bad for him. Fingers crossed it's something that just needs to heal up a bit.

@mymeria poor pup!
I bought some rice cereal at the store today and dd2 just actually ate a few bites. I mixed it with formula this time but next time I'll mix with breast milk and I think she might like it better.

Dd2 apparently likes sweet potatoes. I tried giving her a little and she gobbled them up! Not looking forward to the solid poops 😕

I'm pretty sure we are going to have to take literally everything but the bed out of dd1's room. She's been in her room for over an hour and a half and is still awake and has destroyed her room. Clothes are everywhere, we've already confiscated her lamp, sound machine, play kitchen, diapers, wipes, had to take the bulb out of her main light because she can reach the light switch and kept turning it on, etc. in the past few days. It's so fucking ridiculous.

Nymeria youch! I hope everything checks out ok with your dog. brenna oh man.... I'm sorry your DD is having too much fun to go to sleep! That sounds like a huge pain in the ass. How long has she been in the big bed now? Is it still a new thing? I hope the novelty wears off soon for her. I'm probably the only one here who'll be looking forward to more solid poops 😂 Then maybe they'll stay in the diapers.

Hopefully your dd's poops will stay contained soon! Dd1 has had a big girl bed for months now. She's just getting very smart about how to make us come back to her room as many times as possible. She says she has to poop, she takes off he diaper, she cranks her sound machine, etc. Today while she's at daycare I will be removing everything from her room.

Don't ever give up the crib! It was so nice when DD would go to sleep 10 minutes after we put her in her crib. Now it's a nightmare 😟

brenna, Nymeria, DS wont sleep with the door closed anymore with all the night fears so I wont be able to close him in! I can try a gate in his doorway if necessary when the time comes, that would slow him down at least. And then hopefully we'd hear him at the gate before he got up in our faces!

DD has been freaking out when we close the door but we just have to ride out the crying and yelling because she's too good at getting in trouble in the middle of the night to leave it open. It sucks but we don't know what else to do.

Yeah, I've seen videos of kids scaling the double gates and squeezing between the few inches at the top to get out!! Sounds like that would be your DD 😂 Have you seen the Super Nanny videos about how to get toddlers to stay in their beds? Basically just putting them back in over and over and over without saying a word. Eventually they get the point. Seems like a giant pain in the ass (especially when it's hard to give it your full attention because of DD2), but could be something to try. If your current situation is a pain in the ass anyways, then you've got nothing to lose! A friend shared some Super Nanny ideas with me when we started having issues with DS. You can search them on You Tube.

I know all about the super nanny tricks 🙂 we have started the no talking, just put her back to bed thing, but shes been taking her diaper off a lot so we can't just put her back in "bed" (she doesn't like to sleep in her bed and always wants to sleep on the floor 🤷). We had to go back to duck tape last night on the diaper. Gosh dd1 sounds extra AF. I guess because she is very extra haha she is so stubborn and very we'll say "passionate" about what she wants.

I feel like a shit parent because I just don't know what to do with her a lot of the time. She is so strong willed and I have to choose my battles so carefully. She is an angel at daycare and for most other people besides me though. So frustrating.

Hope last night went better after moving all the stuff out.

Busy day yesterday so I barely had a chance to get on here.
My dog is fine - just some irritation that has already started to get better. Thankfully I was able to combine the skin check with the shots he was due for so it wasn't a waste of money bringing him in to be told he was fine.
I need to run to Target on my lunch break. I bought a box of Huggies Little Movers over the weekend for DS1 and not only are they actually Little Snugglers (even though they're stamped Little Movers) the elastic around the right leg hole is completely shot on every single diaper. Nothing like an emergency bath before work to start my day because DS1 may as well not have even been wearing a diaper this morning...
At least it's Wednesday - one more day closer to the next weekend!

We've been having a heck of time trying to get a sofa in our basement! We had two separate attempted deliveries (different items) and the sofas wouldn't fit down the stairs! So we're going the Ikea route. We're basically outfitting the entire space (plus a few other things!) for less than the cost of just the sectional from the furniture store!! I love Ikea. This will be the first sofa I've had from there though, so I hope it holds up as well as the other furniture items I've bought over the years.

Yet another public blowout at Target today. Had one Sunday too 😡 Yikes! Is there any sort of positioning consistency with the blowouts? Like is it always when she's in a car seat or baby carrier? Those are the time we have problems - even if it's not a big poop the position seems to push it up his back. Since different types of diapers aren't helping, could it be something like that?
