I suffer from PPA and got on Zoloft right away this time. I didn't with dd1 and regret how awful I was to DH and how many months I suffered without talking to my doctor. I would highly recommend talking to your ob if you think you need extra help. I have minimal side effects and it greatly helps me in my day to day life.

brennaI have friends that make it for me, but I know that most stores, in the pharmacy section, will have some form of elderberry syrup or gummies. You'd obviously be better off going to Sprouts or WF. Most people buy the berries on Amazon then boil them into a tea and add local honey and some other spices that help fight colds. We've been taking it since I gave birth and (knock on wood) still doing well. I hear it helps the baby when breastfeeding too. 🤷♀️ Who knows! ETA: it is expensive though, which is also why I get homemade from a friend.

I think DD might be teething already. It seems too early, but she has been chewing on her fingers and toys if she can get them to her mouth, she's had rosey little cheeks a lot recently, and she's drooling quite a bit. She left wet drool spots on her sheets after both of her crib naps today! She keeps sleeping on her tummy now so the drool just flows out.

tbirdloveNot too early! We are in the same boat. DD had two teeth by four months and DS is well on his way to be the same. He won't stop biting my nipples and it is awful! Our shirts end up soaking wet with all his drool if we hold him when he's sleepy.

tbirdlove - I think DS2 could be teething too. Who knows how long before they get to the surface but I'm assuming he can feel something going on already.

I guess it's not that she's too young, but more so that in my mind she's still only like two months old!! I can't believe she's going to be four months in a few days 😭
Oh, and she's totally able to roll back to belly in her crib without using the crib rails. I just watched her do it for her morning nap. But she never even tries during daytime play! She still can't go belly to back either.

brenna I hope everyone stays well! P getting sick is one of my biggest worries. Since she was early the hospital put that fear in me. M has been home sick with a cough and fever all week. We have been keeping them far away from each other. She was almost 24 hours fever free yesterday, so we will try again today.

DD drools and puts everything in her mouth too. My pediatrician said it's not always teething though, just something that usually starts around 4 months.
DD is not rolling still (either direction). Dd1 didn't roll until about 5.5 months but then was crawling and then walking by 9 months so I'm not too worried.

Well the 2 year old swore for the first time last night. I've been really good about watching what I say around him but MH let a "damn it" go the other night and DS must have been listening enough from 2 rooms over to pick it up. It was kind of funny though because he said it with proper tone when something didn't go right on his new Kindle Fire so he even had the context correct. I figure if he's going to have picked up a swear this is at least a more mild one.

Nymeria my DS said fuck today 😂 It's usually me with the bad language and I know I really need to do better at watching my language, but this time was MH's fault!

DS2 has slept about 30 minutes total since 7:30am. I gave Tylenol earlier thinking teeth and I think that's what got us those 30 minutes.
He also refused all bottles my mom gave him yesterday until after Tylenol.
I can feel bumps now so hopefully they break through quickly. I hate medicating especially with the bright red Tylenol. At least once he's old enough for Motrin that's available dye free.

Nymeria I thought the rule is 6 months for Motrin? I found some grape flavored Tylenol that was dye free. ETA I now see you were referring to WHEN he is old enough 🤦♀️

Dd1 is sick AGAIN. I don't know what the universe has against our family but we just keep getting hit over and over. And of course she wants to be right in my face, sneezes on me, etc. So I'll probably get sick again too. I don't think I've ever been this sick this many times in a year, let alone 4 months.

Speaking of teething, what are your go to remedies for teething? Does anyone still use teething tablets? I have some leftover from DD and used then still after he whole recall thing. I'm thinking about using them with DS. I've heard they still make them now but without belladonna.

Same here. DS1 just got over a cold and now he has another. He learns new things so quickly, except for coughing/sneezing into his elbow. We can't seem to get him to do that for anything.

Teething stuff, whether gels or tablets, is something I have a hard time trusting no matter what the item is now-a-days. I just do chew toys, cold/frozen teethers, and Tylenol when really bad.

NymeriaI can understand that. I've never used the gels. Those freaked me out more than the tablets, which worked really well for my daughter. I have an amber teething necklace that I use as well but take off at nighttime and put around his covered ankle. Who knows if it really works or not. But I always felt I saw a difference on DD when I'd forget to put it on. We mostly use the chew toys though. He is starting to like his munch mitt and figure out how to put in his mouth. I also have a rubber cactus toothbrush, similar to the popular banana one. Frozen washcloths were very popular with my DD as well. I was hoping to hear some new remedies or ideas to help ease the teething process this time around.

@pixelpink24 - I bought DS2 a munch mitt for Christmas! He's starting to get the hang of it but not enough to be helpful yet.
Maybe someone else here has some secret tips we can both steal!!

For dd1 we just did Tylenol and had some teething toys (yellow banana was her favorite). She didn't seem to have too much trouble with teething though. We'll see how dd2 does, personally I won't do the gels or tablets.

DS was a pretty easy teether, so no brilliant remedies here. Just different teething toys really. Although his always bled a little when a tooth popped through which surprised me the first time!

So, Huggies also don't hold DD's poop 😑 I learned this today with yet another PUBLIC blowout..... Seriously - wtf?!
It blew out the leg this time and not the back.
