MH says he has gained sympathy weight. Maybe there is something to that because we eat healthy and walk everyday especially since I got diagnosed with GD.
We are ready for baby! I havenโt packed my bag but I have a very detailed list of what to pack so I could be ready in less than five minutes. Iโm wondering how soon theyโll schedule an induction for me. Iโll be 37 weeks on Wednesday and theyโre saying 38 or 39 weeks ๐ณ

Ugh. I woke up with either a stomach bug or food poisoning and am so sore and achy from throwing up. I had so many things I planned on getting done today but I can barely hold my head up. I tried sorting baby clothes and even that got to me after a few minutes. Being sick on the weekends is not cool, especially when one is almost 35w.

I forgot how exhausting it is having so many visitors all the time. Everyone wants to stop in and see the new baby. We've even said no/not a good time a few times, but it still seems there is always someone coming over! I also hate saying no. DH heads back to work Monday morning. I'm nervous for the first day of doing it all by myself!

This weekend is prepare for baby weekend. I dropped off DD this morning for our last kid-free night before baby comes. So far weโve emptied the closet in DDโs new room and moved her clothes into it. Now I have to go through her stuff, taking out baby things and putting away anything not being used. Then itโs time to go into storage and take out baby stuff! Iโm excited to see tiny newborn clothes again.
I also still have to put away Christmas decorations. But Iโm going to prioritize baby stuff because Iโm anxious nothing is ready.

Thanks ladies. I took Zofran so at least no more throwing up but still feeling very weak and yucky. I'll probably end up sending SO for Gatorade soon. I have access to IV fluids at home thanks to my job if I get desperate. I was really planning to knock out some baby prep this weekend since I've got a little over 3w max and I'm working a lot .

We got about 7 inches of snow! DS has zero interest in donning his winter gear...no outside fun for us. ๐ MH is working this weekend, so I attempted to shovel a bit. At least thereโs a path from the driveway cleared and salted so I donโt fall on my very pregnant ass. BH made me hit a stopping point.
And then I discovered a giant box of Christmas chocolates that someone stuck in the garage, so Iโd say the effort was 100% worth it.

Oh my goodness. Today has been so much better than I imagined! My parents and I took the boys to the children's science museum this morning and they had a blast. Afterward, we decided to have lunch at a nice place nearby and turns out, apparently my mom and one of my best friends from college had planned a surprise sprinkle for me at said restaurant; private room and everything. There weren't a ton of people because I guess no one would respond to my friend lol But it was so nice! I'll have to dig for the baby shower thread and post some pictures.

tngrl3 Hope youโre feeling better today! So we found out the Escape was just a couple hundred dollars from being totaled when we hit that deer on Christmas. We decided to use the insurance money as a down payment on a Honda Pilot earlier this week. Itโs my first brand new vehicle which is exciting but this new car payment was not something we expected so thatโs a bummer. Also, we woke up yesterday morning to a 6-7โ crack in the windshield ๐ณ WTF. Itโs an edge crack and is likely from the windshield being installed improperly. Less than 500 miles on it and already have to deal with an insurance claim. Sigh. Hoping theyโll get it fixed first thing next week. On a positive note, MH is installing the infant bases in both vehicles today and hanging some shelves in the babyโs room while I finish folding and putting away baby clothes and hopefully sewing a baby blanket and matching hat that Iโve been putting off for weeks.

k hope theyโre on the mend soon and you donโt catch whatever they have! I have no idea whatโs going on with DD (3.5) sheโs been acting out so much lately and bedtime has been super difficult. Wondering if itโs baby related or just a phase/her age. Either way, itโs exhausting.

DH is back to work today. He has been off since before Christmas (PTO plus paternity leave), so this is going to be quite the adjustment. I successfully got ds1 on the bus to school, so now just to make it through the rest of the day!

Had my 35 week appointment this morning. I'm measuring 3 weeks ahead. 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. Station -2 so sheโs still fairly high. They scheduled me for a growth ultrasound this Friday to see how big baby girl is which was a surprise but Iโll take it! Itโs getting real! I have a feeling Iโll go early but I really hope she stays in until at least 38 weeks.

How important/accurate is the uterus measurement at the OB? I wasn't really caring what it was because we were seeing baby so often with scans and getting real measurements, but now we have almost 6 weeks to go and no more scans. Last time I measured 37-38cm at 32 weeks... Assuming since their guidelines fit so neatly into 1cm=1 week that there's really a range of normal?

I think the trend is more important overall than a single measurement. I haven't had my fundal height measured at all this pregnancy. I've had extra scans since 28w but even before that I didn't get measured once. Only a few scans have been for growth. In my previous pregnancies they started measuring at 20w. Don't quote me on this but I think a lot of OBs have stopped measuring because women carry in all shapes and sizes and sometimes it leads to unnecessary testing and interventions.

I got a good amount done over the weekend. All of DD's stuff is moved to her new bedroom, and I brought out and washed baby clothes and gear. The big exception is pump parts and bottles. I have approximately 12412198 pump parts for multiple breast pumps and tons of bottles. I definitely need to streamline those.
Still left: Washing baby carriers, unpacking and washing nursing clothes, packing hospital bag, putting up name decorations. We're almost there though!
