Baby looks perfect today at his BPP but my blood pressure is high. She said no more work and to stay home and rest. She didnβt want to send me right away to be induced because she really thinks heβs going to come on his own. She stripped my membranes. If my blood pressure is high on Thursday and Iβm sure it will be she said we will bump my induction to Friday instead of Monday. Omg!! Iβm all crampy right now but Iβm sure itβs from having my membranes stripped. π³

strawberrykiki, Oh yes, membrane strips are awful for cramping. Cervical checks are a breeze compared to them, IMO.

Question for those with experience... Does a back contraction actually just feel like a sudden strip of pain across your low back, nothing in your abdomen, that lasts for a minute or two? If so I think I just had one and can I say, OUCH.

sunshiney, My back contractions frequently started low low in my uterus and wrapped around to my back where they intensified and made the back pain worse than any in my abdomen area.

strawberrykiki ugh membrane strips are the worst. I was so crampy for the rest of the day after my OB swept them with DD. It was awful. Probably will forego it this time since it was painful and didnβt seem to help me progress at all. Everyone is different though so hopefully itβll be worth it for you and get things moving!! Sorry to hear about your high BP but yay for it almost being baby time!

cch thank you! Of course I just went and took my BP at the grocery store and it was totally fine. I was so nervous when they were taking it today I knew it wasnβt really that high! Oh well guess Iβll just enjoy my doctor note not to work and rest up while I can!

So, the last few days, the tops of my ankles have been itchy but with no noticeable anything going on. I've been assuming dry skin because I have a dry spot on my wrist that's been really itchy and nothing has helped. Well, took off my shoes and socks tonight and there's a full blown rash on one foot and ankle and the start of one on the other. I can't find my anti-itch cream and my normal body butter solution is not helping at all. Suggestions?? I'm guessing it's a pregnancy related rash and am annoyed. Minor, I know, but I never had this issue with my boys.

thelittleredm Ugh, damn the miserable pregnancy rashes! Have you noticed a lot of swelling around your ankles? If so, I wonder if itβs from your skin stretching? Coconut oil has been a lifesaver for my itchiness this time around. k Many congratulations to you!!

CharlieB, Haven't noticed much swelling around my ankles. Maybe a little, but not enough to really notice without paying attention.

FML.
I was just getting to bed last night and was so sore from sitting on the couch too long when I heard H grab the keys to the car. I thought it was weird since he rarely just leaves and there was nothing in the car that he might be missing (turns out, he was planning on going to a raid for his Pokemon Go game). I heard him open the front door and all of a sudden he was yelling at someone and making threats. I made my way to the front door and he was down by the street talking on his phone to the cops. Apparently, there was a guy trying to break into our car when he came outside. There is visibly nothing in our vehicle besides car seats and car thefts have increased with the warming temps lately so we're pretty sure that's what was about to happen. Kept me up all night. I'm so tired now. Thankfully, it's a shorter day at work than normal.

thelittleredm omg thatβs so crazy!! Iβm glad everything turned out okay. I would be scared to confront someone because who knows what theyβll do. tngrl3 feeling pretty normal today actually. No cramping no contractions! Nothing! This baby just doesnβt want to seem to come out!

strawberrykiki, I'm the same way. I won't confront people. I mean, I'm getting better about dealing with the situations differently (i.e. calling someone) but nope, I strictly stay inside with the door locked with the kids. But H knows how to deal with all things that could go wrong (one of the benefits of having been in the military) and he always carries protection when he's out and about (within reason) but especially if he's going out at night. His natural distrust of literally everyone and everything is helpful, too, I guess.

Well, I am feeling less and less great as this day is progressing. My throat started hurting yesterday and I assumed it was just dry. Still hurts today and my head and ears are starting to hurt. I'm hoping this is just a sinus issue but I'll probably bring it up at my 37 week appointment today.

thelittleredm oh no! How scary. Glad YH was home and walked out when he did. Hope you feel better ASAP! Seems like a lot of women get a cold within days or weeks of delivery. Maybe itβs just the season weβre in right now but either way I hope youβre on the mend soon.

Check up went well. I agreed to the cervical check, mostly for my mom's sake. I'm at 3cm and A is at a 0 station. So farther along than I thought. All the extra pressure I've been feeling makes way more sense now! I still don't think she'll be here anytime soon but maybe I should remember to get a hospital bag packed this week...
