Ok how do you answer back with she’s in favor of three strikes and prison labor? She has some past positions and statements to answer for, and we should give her a chance to do that. I mean, Filling and had an A rating from the NRA. She has answered for that. Harris gets the same opportunity. |

When she was the DA in San Francisco those laws and systems proceeded her. She worked within them. And those types of programs were popular then. She has evolved her stance on criminal justice along with many progressives. I just think it’s like saying anyone who works in criminal justice is not progressive enough and I don’t buy that argument. |

This is a great thread on the dilemma facing POC and why the criticism against Senator Harris is mostly meant to put her in her place.
Now, if someone wants to come with criticism about exact policies she supports or campaign for, we gotta hear it. But the vague “she’s part of the system” commentary strikes me as insincere and possibly racist and sexist.
