Not through reading yet, but I think the author's point is very timely regarding foreign policy given our current disaster in Iran.

Without sources, I'm inclined to think that's completely made up bs, possibly something originating with or being pushed by Russian/whoever bots starbuck. Especially because if that were the case, Tulsi herself would be all over the place shouting about it from the rooftops because she loves to point out that Dems are "just as corrupt" as the GOP. I’m with you because also did you know that Tulsi served in the military? 🙄 No way she wouldn’t be all over Twitter and her good buddy Tucker Carlson’s show shouting this.

elle, I think she's right that war w/Iran would be wayyyyyyy worse. Namely because of the Russia of it all. It's weird to agree with her on anything. But yeah, she'd be the first to line up and toldya so. I'm confused by this whole thing.

Doesn't pass the smell test.

I think another problem the dems face, and we've discussed this before, is that they get so caught up in trying to take the moral high ground. Yes, we are all aware that you all (save for maybe a couple) are better humans than T. But that isn't going to win you an election. The people who appreciate that already support you and will vote for you. I think this is why we see a shift in support when someone does something "tough" or a little dirty (ie Pete or Biden). Americans, for the most part, are selfish assholes. We are tired of seeing T go out there and do/say whatever he wants and we want someone to fight back.
We know Liz is kind and gentle but what do we love most? When she cracks jokes at T's expense or when Biden runs an ad directly attacking T. The dems need to take a step back from always trying to "go high" (Sorry Michelle, I love ya but the time for is over for now) Call out the Rs and T. Fight fire with fire, although maybe fire filled with truth rather than big, scary lies. We know you are better humans, you don't need to remind us.

I find it incredibly distasteful when they act like 45. I know basic people find it 'tough' and fighting with fire, but I find it offputting. I dont WANT a president who acts like a petulant child, I want someone who can rise above that and make a thoughtful coherent statement with facts. Because we are on a world stage, its not like we're talking potholes on Avenue A, there are actual lives at stake and I want someone who can act dispassionately to make a decision that impacts that.
I realize this is not the norm.

Yes, that was the royal "we" there, not necessarily the "we" of this corner of the internet. However, I think the difference is the intelligence level of the Ds "fire". There was a lot of love posted for the clip of Liz making the joke about Ts circle ending up in prison. Non-candidate Hillary is always getting huge amounts of love here for her tweets condemning the things T says/does. They aren't coming across like petulant children because their responses are intelligent and well put together. I'm not saying people want to see Biden challenge T to a weight lifting contest, I am saying that we can't just sit back and say "We'll be kind and gentle", we have to show strength and that we are willing to fight for the things this country needs. Maybe this is an UO a day early...

I just saw that Warren and Castro are doing a town hall in my hometown in a few days. There is about a 29% (reported) Latinx population there, and probably higher actually. I find this verrrrrry interesting. ETA: ldubhawksfan , in case you have anyone at home interested. Quoting myself to say that I just read Katie Porter will also be at the town hall. Liz is bringing in the A team for a last minute IA push. I hope it helps boost her above one of the 3 white men also finishing in the top 4 in the state.

This is surprising to me given Harriot's Root article yesterday. Not that he needs to justify his decision, but I'd be interested to hear his reasoning.

Tom Steyer is so forgettable. The most mayo of men. I couldn’t tell you a single stance or opinion of his because my ears inadvertently tune him out like white noise. It’s not at all intentional, he’s just that blah.
Other than money, I just don’t get it. How is he still here?

Bloomberg says he will keep his campaign apparatus up and fully operational opposing Trump even after he loses the nomination.
I respect that. A lot. That's literally putting your money where your mouth is.

I feel like this series of headlines, released in rapid succession, makes Wareen's case for her. I mean my gosh.

There's a crew of 5 Yang gangers on the Glebe Rd bridge over 395 with a "honk for Yang" banner. I had to honk for them. They were very cute and enthusiastic

L.A. Mayor Garcetti is Biden’s campaign co-chair. He endorsed him earlier this week.
