I never really understood why Boykins didn't tell the mayor about the federal investigation into the Department, if I followed the trail correctly? Sounds like it was quite the mess all around.
Then again, in Illinois we have federal investigations every other day, and some are a surprise to the person(s) in question.

I just finished text banking for Kamala. It was really easy and I'm mad at myself that I waited so long to do this! I got called a 'dumbass Democrat' about 10 sec into it, but other than one 'fuck you' response, the rest were very civil if not downright pleasant. I think I texted about 2000 people but maybe 150 or so actually responded. And most were opt-out requests. I'm looking forward to doing this regularly!

Whoa. That’s an experience. We had 3 different lists and I had slightly different experiences with each.
Undecided voters - lots of response and some good dialogue on plans, etc.
Supporters - mostly positive, few responses, a couple of Trump people in there. One feel the bern. I made one mistake and sent the same response to someone twice and boy did they not like that.
WOC undecided voters - lots of wrong numbers on that list so at least clean up was accomplished.
Most interesting responses - one guy said he worked with Harris for 20 years and she would be terrible. One guy said she won’t be able to overcome the low level drug convictions. And several people say they like her but are concerned she doesn’t have good polling numbers.

jaygee , I feel like Katie Porter and Kamala Harris worked together at some point in CA.....I remember this came up last winter with my SIL, who was a student of Warren's along with Porter at Harvard and has worked with and been friends with Porter ever since. This was very early on when Harris and Warren had only recently announced their intent to run, and SIL had speculative reasons why Porter would probably support Warren and not Harris. So I, too, wonder if this was intentional, and there's some kind of bad blood. Hopefully I can find out more around the Thanksgiving table.... ETA: They did work together, Harris as AG appointed Porter to act as a monitor of the $18 billion she secured for CA in that large mortgage settlement.

Porter is basically a protege of Warren, so I was not at all shocked or even dismayed by the endorsement. But I don't like the use of Harris' campaign slogan as a hashtag, especially when adding the word "truly" in front of it. It just feels a bit ick to me.

It is thoughtless but I wonder if Porter was thinking of Tulsi's comments regarding the Dem party (not being of, for, or by the people) versus aiming at Kamala.
I get the anger tho.
