I think Julian Castro is all but done. He’s got low social media engagement and his rally here in his home city last night only garnered a few hundred people. I want to see him on the debate stage, but I think it’s only a matter of time before he throws in the towel. I’m hoping his town hall tonight boosts his support.

I feel like CNN stacking 5 town halls is a way to get ahead of MSNBC/NBC having the first debate. They get the second one in July so whatever, but COME ON!

I’m excited to listen to the full PSA interview with Senator Harris. It just came out today.
They also rereleased the Elizabeth Warren one from Feb as a stand alone since they are doing that with all the candidates now. I just listened to it. It’s very. I love her and her policies. She doesn’t have the charisma for me but I’m still sorting out how important that is. I want to see her in a key position if she is not on the ticket.

I don’t want a childcare tax credit. As we have seen with this president, the tax code can and will have sweeping changes and people can lose credits they depend on. But if you start providing universal childcare, I see it going like the ACA where people come to like it and are going to fight tooth and nail to keep it. |

I actually feel like Liz, in many ways, most closely aligns with my policy desires for a candidate. But, yeah, I agree— she doesn’t have the charisma. I kind of feel like her window was really the 2016 election, and for whatever reason, she didn’t run then. I also just can’t get past how clueless (I know that’s being generous) she is with how incredibly offensive her comments re: possible First Nations genealogy has been. I don’t think she *means* to appear flip about a serious identity/ ethnicity/ race issue, but she does. Over and over. Maybe it’s generational. (Another reason she’s not my favorite.) |

You know it’s funny you say that because listening to her talk does feel comforting and like speaking with an aunt or mentor. |
