I don't want to feel icky about the Biden/Abrams rumor but I do. I feel like it is a bit of pandering to boost approval. "Look at me...I picked a woman of color for my ticket. Ignore that I am an old white dude." I just don't think it works well in the long run. I love Abrams but I feel like she is being used as a prop almost in this scenario. Why am I so cynical? Connie is kind of soothing me about it, but I’m still feeling cynical. It’s just who I am. Lol. I agree with what Connie says about Stacey being in charge of her own destiny, and I believe she is a strong woman that wouldn't be "fooled" into running on the ticket, but that doesn't excuse what I feel like might be the reasoning for asking her in the first place. I am with you, cynical party of 2. |

I may or may not already be working on an application for one of these. We'll see if I have the guts to send it in, lol Also... Pete sealed the deal by not asking me to upload my resume and then type in all of my education and professional experience. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, it's on the resume I just uploaded! I seriously looked at the openings to see if there was anything I could do. I am thinking of quitting my job after the busy season and I was like I could work for him. If nothing else, maybe I will volunteer for him |

I feel like Biden sort of disappeared after 2016 and I’m not sure how I feel about it.
But I will say that one of the few things I remember about him that was positive was his outward support if same sex marriage. That was huge back in the day.
I don’t want him to be president at all though. I feel like he missed the train ride back in the 2016 election. He could have been more vocal and he wasn’t.

I really like Stacy Abrams but I think she has a really good chance at flipping a Senate seat if she runs. She would be a great progressive voice in the Senate and for the South. We need to drown out Lindsey.
I really like what Andrew Gillum is doing for increase voter turnout in Florida. Winning Florida would be huge for the Democrats.

I feel a way about the Biden Abrams rumor. I can’t help but feeling a little cynical about it. Like here ladies since I’m immediately going to be the front runner if I enter the race accept my tokenism and get over all the strong female candidates running. I don’t know. I want it to be genuine and it for sure makes a Biden ticket more palatable for me. But, I’m still not into Joe just because he’s Joe. I also had feeling about it. More to the tune of white old dude with privilege and thinks highly of himself offering a WOC second seat because he believes he's a shoe in to win but can be hip with the progressives, women, POC, etc. Like he's trying to lock in votes from those voter groups by having her on board from day one. It feels a bit entitled to me. I might just be very anti Biden for president though too. |

I was waiting for this. I feel inspired and hopeful and all of the things I have been waiting for the other candidates to make me feel. I admit I initially kind of wrote him off because "long shot" and all of that nonsense but I am truly starting to think he might be a real contender in this. He deserves to be and we, as a country, desperately need a leader like this. misspatty, I owe you a debt of gratitude for continually supporting him, because of the exposure here I dug deeper and found the candidate I was searching for. |

He's only an underdog until people learn more about him. |

I saw him on The View this morning, and I am officially on the Mayor Pete train. His response about the religious left was brilliant. And goddamn it, he's so fucking SMART. I want my President to be a Rhodes Scholar and a multi-linguist and a veteran and and and... He's so accomplished. And only 4 years older than I, which makes me feel very unaccomplished, lol. I'm about to buy one of the t-shirts on his website. |
