And I'm reading about Amy instead of getting started on my actual work. Um, I love her. She might be my new favorite.

I love them both but I think Amy can bring people together more. Those two are definitely my favorites but I might have to give Amy the edge. Of course that might change again because I start Kamala's book today. We've got some great options though!

An all female White House with an entirely female cabinet.
IMAGINE what could get done in half the time. (Also in my imagination, the turtle would not be ruling the Senate)

I'm off the Liz train. I'll keep following her on IG tho for videos of her adorable dog. Her dog and my dog are named after the same person, so I'm not even sorry about continuing to follow her for this reason. I think she going to have to drop out.
they just cornered her in the hall about this. She walked away when asked if she was going to continue.

Oh fuck off, CNN.
It will be interesting to see if there’s a sudden uptick in Starbucks ads on the network.

While I would happily vote for Kamala I think Amy’s history of bipartisanship could be the unifying catalyst the country needs right now, and I think she’d have a much easier time winning swing states in the general- plus while Kamala as AG isn’t Kamala as POTUS (yet) it’d be a great fit for her AND the idea of her getting to handle treason issues re: Russia makes me cackle with delight (the actual scope of AG in those cases is probably greater in my daydreams than reality, but it’s a nice escape).

I'm still sorting out all of my feelings about them but having 5 women as candidates is a step in the right direction.

I feel like voting for Amy just on the fact that she wasn’t wearing a hat while giving that speech. In the SNOW. Tough as nails.

Amy’s taking some heat on Twitter for saying this:
“We’re starting in Wisconsin because, as you remember, there wasn’t a lot of campaigning in Wisconsin in 2016. With me, that changes.”
Idk. Man. I’m already tired of the fighting and I normally like this stuff.

I’m already tired of the fighting and I normally like this stuff. I don’t know, I think we can’t have it both ways. Like, we can’t look forward to 2020 without looking back at what went wrong. We (Democrats) lost, not without making some mistakes, and I actually appreciate calling them out a little. It’s a level of self awareness I appreciate, and recognition that isn’t wasn’t all the fault of outside influences (even is that played a role too).

This is badass. Amy would prob be my favorite candidate if not for the staff mistreatment. Sigh.

I was actually more weary of bashing Amy over that statement. I mean maybe she really meant some huge dig by it, but maybe she just really is trying to say “Midwest, I’m here for you”. Which is smart for a lot of reasons. The backlash seemed over sensitive.

I don't know if this belongs here or in the weekly thread - may do both because it's AMAZING:
