It took me a while to recognize it actually was the weekend.
Josie’s cough and cold is coming to
an end and Charlie is now in full force. We were supposed to go bowling today but may push that off, so everyone can rest another day.
I cleaned up everything from Christmas but the trees. I guess I’ll do those today or tomorrow. I hate how empty the rooms look without them so I’m holding off a little this year.

Morning! We had friends over last night and they weren’t picking up on my big yawns and empty drink that i was ready for bed by 11, and they didn’t leave until midnight. The kids let us sleep in and now Dh is making breakfast. We are planning on going bowling today too guster! We never think to go, but the kids are excited. It’s currently 1 degree out, so indoor activities only. |

Happy last weekend of the year! Maddie lost a tooth last night. I won a bet that she'd lose her top tooth before a loose one on the bottom. So she's making my bed for 3 days. She asked if she could still get the 50 cents I'd owe her if she won the bet because she was brave. I told her that sounds reasonable.  Our friends from Portland are coming up and we're doing our annual holiday time meal at the Old Spaghetti Factory. Should be lots of fun and card playing today. |

Morning. B woke up ready to take on the day, he’s bouncing off the walls. So funny, bowling is on our agenda today, maybe even this morning.
This afternoon I’ve got to make some perogies with sautéed onions and butter for a friends pot luck dinner tonight. It’s B’s little bestie so it should be a good time.

Morning! I worked out,dropped the kids off at the grandparents for the day (yessssss!), showered and now am on the couch in fresh pjs with coffee. Later we are going to a bar with delicious fancy cocktails and then meeting my family at my sisters restaurant for an early dinner.
Living my best life today.

Morning! Hi from Funville (indoor playground). We brought the kids here to burn off some energy so hopefully we can watch our football games this afternoon in relative peace (I realize this is probably wishful thinking 😬). We have a date night tonight; #newbedliveblog update: while we’re out DH said we could stop at the furniture store and see if they have anything else in the collection so we can see the color, etc. lahdeedah I told my sister about the bed and she suggested we store it at her house. Apparently you and she are on the same wavelength lol. Enablers!! |

We stayed up late watching Bird Box. I’m not a late night girl so I planned to watch it over a few days but was way too freaked out to go to bed without finishing. DD has a 3 hour practice at the far away gym. We were suppose to carpool but now she wants me to take her both ways. DS has a game after that. I’m so ready for everyone to get back on their normal schedule (remind me of this next year when I’m working and I don’t want to go back).

Morning!
I have laundry, organizing, and football on the agenda today. We’ll probably do a late lunch out at some point, too.
I will try to stay away from the stores and the sales. I passed in our shopping center yesterday, and there were no parks left so I took that as I sign that I didn’t need to be there anyway. Must resist.

Welp. Due to a variety of bad circumstances our friend gathering is cancelled.  I'm bummed. I was all set with meal plans. We gave the girls the option of still going to the Spaghetti Factory or the Cheesecake Factory. CF it is. |

The tree is down and decor put away. Except the outside lights, I'm not ready to put a bra on yet. We moved the train table out to the livingroom and put the lego table on top. I'm hoping for more play if it is accessible.  |

Morning! DH let me sleep in, I have a fever but no other symptoms right now. For the most part I’m feeling fine. I was thinking of suggesting we go sledding today but I guess it’s less than 20 degrees out so that isn’t happening. DH is getting together with his guy friends later this evening so it will just be the girls and I at home.

I woke up with yet another migraine. IDK what the deal is. A is pumping out our cistern and refilling it. We have to have city water in it for inspection and we use well water. We have the water truck parked at A's dad's shop with a water hose in it getting filled so we don't have to pay for it lol.

My aunt just texted me to come to dinner tomorrow night. Her son (my cousin) is a complete germaphobe so I told her I would pass because the kids are (have been) sick, and I always feel like she thinks I’m lying.

Well so much for the "relative peace" to watch the game  At least C is napping. B received a dino fossil dig kit for Christmas and I was holding it back for a bad-weather/winter day, but I might call an audible and let him do it today. lahdeedah I am trying to be good about my spending the next couple months, too. Esp. if we buy this bed, lol, but regardless neither the kids nor I need a thing. We actually didn't go too crazy with Christmas so mentally I feel like, "Treat yo-self", but NO, Flamingo, have some self-control. inthekitty sorry your plans didn't work out, hope you will still have an enjoyable meal tonight! peachsmama hope your migraine clears out soon. |

We are home and I’m baking cookies with the kids. My BIL is here to watch the game later with MH. Our TV broke yesterday and while MH thinks he could fix it, he still went to Costco today to buy a 65in tv so they can watch football in the family room. I guess after he fixes ours we will put it in the basement. tgrimes Where is your faith in your team?! |

Hiiiiiii. It's been a productive first half of the day. I finally got in my 14 miler this morning and as of about 12:30, the tree is gone. I'm leaving all the other decorations out for now but it's so nice to have the space back.
I need to run to the store once Chase goes down to get a few things for tomorrow's brunch then I am hoping for a power nap. I forgot how tired training makes me now, even before the runs get too long. It's going to be a long training cycle!

the tree is gone. I'm leaving all the other decorations out for now but it's so nice to have the space back. Funny, I'm the opposite. Tree isn't bothering me yet, but all the other stuff is feeling very cluttered. I think we'll put everything else away tomorrow but leave the tree for a few more days. I think it helps, too, that this year I did my tree in more pastels and less red/green, so somehow it feels wintry and not just Christmas-y? Or something  |
