Could you buy it and just keep it boxed up until you move, so less likely to be damaged? ETA:I see chrisy01 already asked this! Great minds and all. If it was just a couple months, maybe, but I have no clue where we'd put it for so long. I feel like we have to get rid of our current bed to make it work. Saleslady emailed back and said there are 17 left in the finish I want. Pressure's on. ARGH. #newbedliveblog2018 Can your sister store it at her house?? I’m trying to make this work for you. Lol

peachsmama oh no! But I agree, first time offense, and the fact that he wasn’t driving or anything, will probably be a slap on the wrist. But add me to the list of Thursday partiers! Thirsty Thursday! (We also had martini Monday, tipsy Tuesday and dime beer Wednesday’s... and the. The weekend! Lol, it’s amazing I graduated college!) You just reminded me that Wednesday nights at a local bar in college was drinkin’ with Lincoln — penny pitchers. So gross. Our dime beers was at the seediest country bar and all the fraternity and sorority kids just took it over on Wednesday. The beer was disgusting and the worst hangover ever. Rumor had it that it was just the left over dredges of all the kegs that were almost empty. On one particular rough Thursday morning, the night before had been Hawaii night at some beers, and I woke up to find an unexplained extra $80 in my back pocket only to find out I had entered and won second place in the bikini contest. 😬

Lol Lol, thanks! That did cross my mind, they have a fifth bedroom that is currently empty/being used for storage. Im going to have to work on DH. We have been spending a small fortune (literally) on the flying stuff. So like, we have the funds but it’s kind of earmarked for that, if that makes sense? I know we’ll get a good refund at tax time so maybe I’ll approach it from that angle.

Thursday night is lady's night downtown here. Girls drink free, $1 beers at lots of places. peachsmama he legally didn't have to blow. He could have requested to be taken to the station to have a blood draw instead. Not that it would have changed much, but it would have bought him a little time. Maybe a sleepover in a cell will keep it from ever happening again

I didn't think you got arrested for drinking unless you were driving, violent, ect. I would think a 20 year old at a party who complied with cops would get an MIP and walk away.

I told him to be super nice and compliant and maybe they would decide it wasnt worth it. But they arrested 10 of them and the owner of the house(R's best friends dad) just got charged with a felony.... I'm hoping he comes over tonight to tell me the full story. I got pieces at 1 am, 3am and 7am.. hes not in college, just working full time. But lives in a college town. But this actually took place in his home town. He used to get so pissed at A and I because we wouldn't let his friends drink at the house when we lived there and now I'm like DO YOU GET IT NOW?? dnw a felony!

peachsmama since the owner was there and will be charged with serving minors they may have arrested R to make him be a witness against the owner. They will most likely now offer him a plea deal to testify and will just get a slap on the wrist. Make sure he gets a good lawyer to negotiate. I know here supplying to a minor is a big deal and they want to prosecute them.

Yes, I’m surprised they arrested so many. Obviously not a lot else going on last night! My BIL got an underage citation at a tailgate party in college. Our college town’s police were...overzealous. I think he had to pay a fine but otherwise NBD and it didn’t go on his ‘record’ or anything.

@peachsmamai have never heard of a breathalyzer being used when there was not driving involved. Teenage life sucks way more than it used to.

Yes, when I was a kid (back in the dark ages) when they busted a party they just made a relative or guardian sign you out. So basically it just meant you had to call your parents and get busted by them.

The parents didn't host or provide alcohol (unless the kids took some that was in the house) and got home just before the police showed up. I cant believe he was charged. Their son has his own apartment. They had no way of knowing he would show up while they were gone and throw a party.
