Oh and on Friday DC called me to tell me they thought B had pink eye. I picked up and it was clearly pink. I had some leftover meds so I put the drops in Friday night and Saturday morning. I really didn't notice anything discoloration or discharge at all, so I thought it was a fluke and discontinued drops. He was fine all weekend. DC calls Wednesday and said it was red and a bit oozy again. I saw it when I picked up, but he was fine, again, when we got home and fine this morning. Maybe he's allergic to something at DC causing this reaction? She said there is no new cleaning products or anything, but this is weird! I'll see how he is when I p/u tonight. Definitely sounds like allergies to me. My eyes can get super red, puffy, and swollen from allergies and sometimes without other symptoms like sneezing.

I think I told you all how my mom was having a hard time with rash and hives and itching after her knee replacement surgery. They thought her body might be rejecting the titanium in the knee. Well she underwent a bunch of allergy testing to see. She didn’t react to any of the metals! But they have found the source...she’s suddenly allergic to a certain dye that is in dark clothing and polyester. The majority of her wardrobe is dark clothing. Shopping time for her! But it’s weird how it came out of nowhere.

I just find it odd that it would develop suddenly. He has been in that same classroom with the same teachers and kids since September!

tgrimes Well shit. I’m sorry. Hope M feels better soon. lfig So strange. Maybe the new metal in her caused the sudden reaction to dark dyes. Don’t know how, but maybe? Glad they figured it out. Sorry about all the sick kids. M2 had a cough for a few days at my moms, but increasing the breathing treatments helped a lot. Lol @that dream. xolastunicornxo I just saw that RHOBH will be back in Feb.

Hi! Busy day at work, but we stop early so I’m not mad about it! MH took M2 to his 18m well check today and all was well. He had a little wheeze, but told us to just keep doing the nebulizer and he should be fine. Not much else on the agenda today.
Hope you all have a great day!

I haven’t mentioned this to you guys yet but I’ve been considering going back to work full time in an attempt to make more money. I applied for a few positions with my current employer and today I have a phone interview with HR for one of them. The thought of figuring out daycare right now is overwhelming. I don’t want to have to pull H out of her current school and their extended care is $$$. I shouldn’t get the cart in front of the horse though, the only way this will be feasible is if they offer me enough money to make it worth it.

good luck trtlcrzy!! Do you still have the 2nd PT job now? I haven't heard (seen) mention of it in a while, so I might have missed that. Your current position is on L&D at a hospital right? Would it be in the same area or somewhere else within the hospital? I'd imagine FT there would bring great benefits too, not sure if that's a factor for you or not.

The other position ended at the end of summer. I did switch shifts so now I’m working more hours than before. I work for patient access technically, but the desk I’m at is for L&D admissions. The position I applied for is actually at the corporate office, not in the hospital.

We made record time getting home...just under 9 hours, including two stops!
C is in love with the kitchen and has only abandoned it to put on her Cinderella dress, Minnie slippers and new apron to wear *while* she cooks.

We went to the children’s museum for a couple hours. My sister and 3 of her kids met us there for a bit which was nice. Their lab passed away yesterday so I think it was good for them to get out and be distracted a bit.
Then we met Dh for lunch and now we’re home. We are invited to a neighborhood holiday get together tonight. Our neighbors are all middle aged, empty nesters and this is the first time we’ve really been invited to anything since we’ve lived here. I’m sure we won’t last too long since we’ll have the kids with us, but it should be a good time.

Just got done. She asked me the standard interview questions and is going to forward my information on to the hiring manager and then I’ll either get an in person interview or a rejection email. Thanks everyone for the good luck wishes.

tgrimes Poor M, I hope you find a better specialist to figure this out. trtlcrzy good luck with the job! Would your MIL be able to help out with longer hours of childcare? I know she helps sometimes. I thought I had an easy day but it got busy. I went to see grandma at rehab today because it’s her 93rd birthday. Then I took DD’s sleepover friend home and took DD to practice. She has to go to her gyms other location this week that’s 20 minutes away. I know I’m spoiled and some of you always go that far for activities but I’m used to the 5 minute ride to her gym. Now I’m at the dentist for DS1. Later my friend is coming to make gingerbread houses with the kids.

She still works part time and also has a pretty full social calendar.

trtlcrzy Good luck! I’m sure it’s exciting and scary. Are you still planning to TTC for #3? Yeah, that’s also why I’m a little unsure if I want to work full time. I guess there’s no saying I can’t go back to part time after baby is born. I just don’t know what I want.

Question- does anyone know what I can do with an expired car seat? Do I recycle it or is there a special place that takes them?

MH and I got away for a night in a hotel. My dad is watching E and paid for the hotel. We are tired and need this time to relax and be together. I'm hoping to drink a lot tonight.

trtlcrzy, that's a tough decision. As lahdeedah said, these types of decisions are so hard to make, and I feel like we struggle so much to make sure we make the right one. All that being said, I am sure whatever you decide will work out best for your family!
