The best news of the day is my friend with the little boy with leukemia was able to go home with him tonight for Christmas!

Finally checking in! Great night at my aunts. We got home a little after 8, spread all the reindeer magic oats, set up cookies and carrots and got the kids to bed right before 9. They were pooped!
I prepped a breakfast casserole, and then MH and I set up the presents.
I’m in bed watching The Office now. I really loved today.
Hope everyone is feeling a little better.

C is in bed and I set up the tree. It looks a little sparse gift wise but I have to keep reminding myself it’s because it’s just one child he got so much stuff today at my in laws. I actually put some aside to donate or save for later.
My mil really outdid herself with the bad cooking tonight. She did an Italian buffet complete with burned meatballs covered in dried out sauce and oily chicken Parmesan. Like very oily. I don’t even know how it happens! Luckily there was plain pasta for the kids so I ate that and we did a late lunch in preparation.

We just made it home about and hour ago. Both the kids took late naps, so I’m sure they will be up super late. I’m slowly unpacking and putting things away. MH has to run to my friends house to get the power wheel we stored in her garage. I’m glad it will be high 60s tomorrow so they can be outside playing with their toys.

We had so much fun at my moms tonight. Stories that will be told for years. Evie is in bed, cookies are out, I'm contemplating a beer then setting gifts out and going to bed.

MH has to run to my friends house to get the power wheel we stored in her garage. I’m glad it will be high 60s tomorrow so they can be outside playing with their toys. I’m not sure if you know but the power wheel battery needs to be charged overnight before they can ride it. Hopefully you can plug the battery in tonight. |

S took a nice long (3.5 hours) nap this afternoon and was not too bad this evening. Still kinda puny but not as whiny as before. I’m hopeful she wakes up refreshed tomorrow! I got my cookies baked, and S’s and MH’s presents wrapped. I will do my nieces and nephew’s tomorrow morning before we head to STL. Laundry is mostly done. I’m excited to see my family tomorrow! |
