Happy Christmas Eve! H woke me up very excited this morning. I love that she’s so into the Christmas spirit. My plans for today include finishing up my Oreo truffles, possibly going to Christmas eve service with the ILs and then a super fun Christmas party this evening. DH is working so he has to miss out on some of the fun. My mom is coming at some point today and will accompany us to the Christmas party. It’s one of my favorite things, we have a big pot luck meal and then sing Christmas songs while talented family members play instruments.

I can hear LO up but he wakes up my mom when she is here. So I’m just watching tv and on my phone while waiting for E to get up soon.
I have to go pickup the ham I preordered. We are doing an early dinner followed by LO’s bath then opening up gifts that are under the tree. When I get up to pump tonight I plan on setting up the Santa gifts.

We have a long drive home today. My original plan was to leave at the ass crack of dawn like usual, but there is a lunch happening at my grandma’s house and they talked me in to staying so we could eat and see my cousin who flew in last night. We’re going over early and leaving by 1130-12. I want to get home already.

It’s Z’s bday today. She opened presents and we purged a bunch of toys in anticipation of tomorrow’s haul. The playroom looks sparse for once.
No big plans today. Tonight we are going to dinner at my neighbor’s house across the street. Her son is a year older than O and they are friends. Then an early bedtime so Santa can come.

Happy Christmas Eve!! I actually love today more than actual Christmas! I got up early with C and made coffee and watched a Christmas movie with all the lights off except the Christmas tree. So nice. Then I made the kiddos cinnamon rolls and I’m currently on my second mimosa. We need to do some cleaning and put laundry away and start packing since we leave for California on the 26th. We are planning on taking the kids bowling around 10 and then we will come back here and put our appetizer and spend the rest of the day eating and drinking and watching Christmas movies. My parents are coming by at some point and I think we will have some friends stopping by too!

C woke up this morning chanting “Santa, Santa, Santa”. Over and over again. Dh got up with him around 7:30 and I slept another hour.
Today is MILs Christmas Eve but it doesn’t start until 4 and dinner isn’t until 6. I think we are going to go swimming at an indoor pool near their house and get a late lunch so we aren’t hungry when we don’t eat MILs crappy food.
C has been so so hyper the past week or so. Like he’s taking speed. He doesn’t shut up and is constantly moving. When I got up Dh said “I hear Dunks is having a special on personal space so I’m going to go get breakfast “. At least he has his cousins to play with later so we can relax a little.

Morning all!
Yesterday was a bit of a write off until the afternoon when we headed out to an outdoor light display with the neighbours, then out for dinner which was a complete disaster. We usually are eating by 5:30pm the latest and when they received their food at 7pm at the restaurant it was touch and go, bad parenting decision on our part for sure.
We’re all ready to go and heading to my Mom’s for Christmas eve dinner and gifts after Julia’s nap! She keeps running around yelling ‘Santa’ so girl is ready 😉

Hi! We’re on our way home from ILs. They didn’t go crazy with gifts which i appreciate.
We’ll feed the kids lunch and get them down for a nap when we get home. I have to get all my appetizers prepped for tonight before church at 3.
H has been hilarious opening presents so I can’t wait to watch him open more tonight.

Hi ladies! Last prep things today, I discovered dh used our table cloths as paint sheets... I could see why, they were old and stained, but we used them at our wedding, darn sentimental me!!! Anyhow I run to town to get some fabric for new ones. The weather is exceptionally mild for this time of year, so we took the kids to the dunes to get some fresh air, it was sooo nice!
For Norwegians Christmas really is today and since my BIL and sister flew in yesterday, they and my parents are coming over for dinner after the kids go to bed.

I was wrong...not strep. She does have pneumonia though. Both lungs were sounding pretty junky. So cefdinir for the next 10 days.

Happy Christmas Eve! My sis and family just packed up and moved to my dad's house for a few days. Love them, but exhausting. I'm still in my PJs and she's fully dressed with makeup done and fancy for the day...we are so different sometimes. We are baking cookies and then will head to my dad's for dinner tonight and then back here and back again tomorrow am. I have wrapped zero gifts, so it could be a late night. We are hoping j doesn't nap so he goes to bed easily tonight 🤞.

Still haven’t wrapped one single gift. I’ll be up all night playing Santa and making cinnamon rolls and a frittata.
Every year, I say I’ll request PTO for ChriyEve. Time comes to bid for days off, and I decide I don’t need them, I can work. When will I learn?
Also, I guess I’ll be even busier in a couple weeks because we did decide that I’m going back to school so I’m enrolled for Spring semester. Yikes.
