We forgot to mix the kringla last night so I had to rush to get it mixed and on he fridge. It has to chill for 8 hours before rolling into figure 8s.
The Honeybaked ham store had a line out the door when I got there 8 minutes after they opened. So that was fun.
My parents just took LO to the mall to burn off energy while I make Rice Krispie treats and prep for tonight’s meal.

We had Christmas with my brother and his family this morning. My sil buys each kid one small toy and gave me cash for stuff for their new room. Love her. I got everything cleaned up and organized and the boys are down for naps. My moms family will be here at 5.. ugh. They are always drama filled.
My hips and lower back are killing me. Every step is painful. I'm going to talk to my doctor at my appointment Thursday. I'm not pregnant enough for this to be just regular pregnancy aches.

Merry Christmas Eve! DH took Colin out to run errands so I'm home with Chase, finishing up the wrapping and getting ready to bake up all the cookie dough once Chase goes down. He's sitting on the potty, claiming he's not done pooping. It smells so vile but at least it's not in his underwear? Yay potty training!
My parents and my sister should be arriving in the next hour or so. We're doing dinner with them and their presents for the boys. I wish my brother and his wife were coming but they're both working.

peachsmama I’m sorry for the aches. Not to be a Debby downer, but for me those aches started to be extremely painful around 14 weeks with dd... My body doesn’t agree with me loving the whole pregnant thing 😕.

Hi! I keep trying to catch up before posting and I only succeed in ‘liking’ a bunch of old posts before getting distracted.
Merry Christmas Eve! Hope all those who celebrate are having a nice day.
We just got back from my sister’s, we made s’mores over their backyard fire pit and the neighbor’s kids came over to play with B & C. Now it’s a quick turn-around to head to my aunt’s for her annual Christmas Eve party.

My parents, sister and BIL left, dinner was nice. All the presents (not that much) are wrapped and under the tree, the table is set for breakfast, it’s almost midnight and I’m off to bed.

My ungrateful cousins came an hour late, ate, opened gifts, loaded the car and left. They weren't even here an hour.

We went to Christmas Eve service with MIL. It went pretty well but the girls started getting restless during the “sermon” part when they were talking about the Christmas story. It was kind of long so I understand why the girls were bored. Now we are en route to the Christmas party.

I have a ton to still wrap.
For whatever reason mh already put stuff in Cadence's stocking and she freaked out. I told her dad accidentally put stuff in there and Santa would empty it before he put anything in.

We had such a nice evening and everything was under the tree by 9:15, despite a late bedtime. My parents are liquidating everything in advance of their move and gave us these rolly Santas that jingle, which I've loved since I was a kid. I'm not generally very sentimental about anything from my childhood but I definitely was so happy that I cried, which I think shocked my Mom.
DH is sick but I'm hanging out in the kitchen while he preps a breakfast bed pudding for the morning. Apparently he's got a little bit of a sentimental side too.
My sister left early because her DH's daughter semi-ghosted him and she was furious that he was alone on Christmas Eve. I definitely think she has no clue.

We had dinner at my parent’s house and the rehab where grandma is recovering from her broken hip let my mom bring her over for a few hours so that was nice. Now I’m waiting for DH to wrap my gifts and to be sure the kids are asleep to put the gifts out and go to bed. DD is sooo into Santa still but she’s 8 and 9 is when DS figured things out so I really want to make tomorrow good for her in case it’s her last year believing. I was wrapping a few last things last night in the basement when she came downstairs because her stomach hurt. Good thing DH intercepted her on the stairs. She is legit sad the Elf is leaving tonight.
Tomorrow we have DH’s dad and brother and his family coming over. His kids are 17-22 years old. I’m looking forward to a calmer day. Today was fun but hard with 10 little kids and C just learning to walk.

Covering things in chocolate is the worst. Why do I always think this is a good idea every year? I love chocolate making. If only I loved making actual meals that much.
