Weeks pregnant/Due date: 29/ RCS Feb 27th ish
Baby is the size of a: 33 week baby 🤔🙈
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Blue
Appointments: endo and dietician tomorrow
Symptoms: he’s moving a lot more lately and the movements are stronger. I’m so easily winded and need to sit down as soon as I stand up! He likes to hang out sideways but high up, so he kicks my lungs a lot.
Milestones: 10 weeks to go! Holy crap.
Rants/Raves/Vents: I’m super happy that my dad booked a couple weeks off to come stay with us, if we’re lucky he’ll be here for the birth and will be staying home with my girls while we are in the hospital. He’s the best at keeping their routines in order etc. And he keeps me really calm! He’s also magic with babies. I started back on my anxiety meds last week and I’m already feeling improvement, especially with sleep.
GTKY: what little things get you excited for your new baby? What are you most looking forward to?
I love doing newborn photos, I can never get over how quickly they change in those first weeks. I can’t wait to just snuggle with a little cuddle lump on my chest while I watch Netflix with the girls at preschool. And the excitement of seeing what your baby will look like and be like never wanes! A whole new person to meet.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 22 today - due 4/22/19
Baby is the size of a: papaya
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM
Team: Blue!
Appointments: 12/27, but changing due to travel
Symptoms: Constipation, constant peeing, some pelvic pain, round ligament pain
Milestones: More movement!
Rants/Raves/Vents: H and I toured a bunch of daycares, and finally decided on one. I emailed this morning asking for info on how to register. The director responded, and let me know that instead of the $150 registration fee (which was both verbally told to us 3 weeks ago and also written into their paperwork), now they charge 2 months of tuition. Uhh... big difference between $150 and over $3k. There's a tiiiiiny section on the paperwork that reads "pricing subject to change" but... that's giving me really bad feelings about going with this place now. Nor do I want to fork over more than $3k this week. Ughhhh I don't want to go look at more daycaressssssss. *stomps*
GTKY: what little things get you excited for your new baby? What are you most looking forward to? Literally everything gets me excited lol. I think the only thing I'm not looking forward to is diapers and lack of sleep.

Tlex I'm glad the meds are helping! lemondrop holy cow, that's a crazy difference. Does that deposit at least go towards your first 2 months "tuition" after baby starts? I would be way hesitant to fork that over now too though. Especially because I ended up quitting my job before E would have started daycare so we lost our deposit (which was only about $150). Is the place super hard to get in or something?

Holyyyyyyy cannoli lemondrop I’ve never heard of a deposit that large to hold a space. That would raise my eyebrows. The most I’ve ever encountered is one month tuition and it applies as your first or last months fees.

That's my concern, too - I mean, quitting my job really isn't an option, but in case something happens, I don't want to either lose the money or have to get into the back and forth of trying to get cash back.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 26w4d March 21, RCS March 14
Baby is the size of a: Bowling pin
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Blue 💙
Appointments: Not until 1/4! This is the longest I've gone between appointments this pregnancy and I'm weirdly excited about it 😂
Symptoms: Have to pee literally every time I stand up. Sleep is difficult and I'm tired all the time. But feeling him move all the time still and still not getting over how cool it is.
Rants/Raves/Vents: I've officially reached the stage where everyone is annoying and does nothing right 😂 My reflux/heartburn was awful last week but the last few days actually haven't been that bad, even after eating a few trigger foods.
GTKY: what little things get you excited for your new baby? What are you most looking forward to? Tiny baby snuggles. Seeing E with him. Getting to see what he looks like and does! I'm officially less than 3 months from RCS and ahhh it's getting so real!

She actually just responded that "we have recently changed our policy for the infants due to the fact that several parents had paid the $150 registration fee and then either backed out or just didn't show up leaving us with empty infant spots." I'm going to see if she'll honor the original fee, or take a month. A month I can be ok with. Otherwise it's back to the drawing board.

Tlex's comment about her dad staying with them made me think of something I've been contemplating, if you have other kids at home, will your SO stay in the hospital with you, or go home to be with the other kids at night?
I selfishly want MH to stay with me because there won't really be another time for just the 3 of us, but I also don't want E to feel like we're ignoring her (I plan on having her visit every day we're there still). I don't know. I know in reality she won't mind a bit and will love every second with Grammy, but I'm feeling guilt about it and wondered what you have done and/or plan to do?

pambee there are so many factors that make this situation different from when I had my second, but last time MH was barely with me while I was in hospital and tbh it really sucked. I was a hormonal mess, so lonely, and since there was no baby nursery I had to wait for someone to visit or page a nurse to get a shower. I had to just sit and wait for hospital food to come, no matter how hungry I got. There was no one to help me hobble to the bathroom and I didn’t like paging a nurse for everything. We could have asked for D1 to stay with family but she’s never done it before and we were really anxious already about rocking her world, we didn’t really want to ask for that kind of help. The hospital policy where I am now is very clear that they expect *someone* to be with you as a support person for the duration of your stay for this kind of reason and they provide a pull out bed for them. I am looking forward to having him around to help. Although ask me again when I’m post partum, freshly stitched up, and he’s in my room and dares mention being tired. 😒

Quoting myself - I called and we negotiated to a single month of tuition. Still close to 5x what I was planning on paying this week, but better than 2 months. Sigh. I need to start playing the lottery.

pambee I’m planning to have H stay with us and DD1 at home with grandparents. I’m considering not having her come to visit until the last day and “help” us bring the baby home. I think it would confuse her more to have us so close but not come home yet.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 22+3 / April 19 / RCS April 12
Baby is the size of a: corn cob
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Pink
Appointments: next up is 1/9 where I have to do the glucose drink thing
Symptoms: Constant need to pee, gas, moodiness, strong nesting instinct has kicked in
Milestones: We had our A/S on Friday and everything was perfect! Apparently she’s measuring up to be a long baby, so I might not need to worry about lack of NB clothing.
Rants/Raves/Vents: Rant: see randoms. Vent: I am working on my self review for work and have no motivation and just want to quit now. I’m planning on quitting after maternity leave, so I’m especially unmotivated these days.
GTKY: what little things get you excited for your new baby? What are you most looking forward to? I spent the weekend working on organizing the 3.5 years of clothes I’ve been saving. I’m oddly excited about being able to get rid of some stuff as she grows out of them. No more hoarding!
I kind of hate the newborn stage, so I’m mostly looking forward to like 6 weeks out when I’m healed and things are starting to normalize. (Ok not kind of, I really hate the newborn stage. I like sleep, ok??)

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 22+5 / April 17
Baby is the size of a: papaya
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Boy
Appointments: January 10th
Symptoms: Nausea/food aversions. My doc started me on samples of Bonjesta but I feel like I should be able to manage it without medication?
Milestones: Next week is viability!
Rants/Raves/Vents: I just feel like garbage. Food has become my nemesis. Sigh. I'll eventually be able to eat balanced meals again, right?
GTKY: what little things get you excited for your new baby? What are you most looking forward to? This is a very good question. I didn't do the newborn stage well with DD. I had some pretty bad PPA after she was born and my entire maternity leave is a bit hazy. I'm hoping that this time around I'll be able to enjoy a snuggly baby a bit more without feeling like the walls are closing in.

I seriously have not even thought of this. MH reminds me that the grandparents will stay with DD this time - they arrived the night before my scheduled c-section last time and were in the waiting room for like, 10 hours because my surgery time kept getting pushed back - but I'm not sure if he will go home to put her to bed and sleep. Maybe he should, so at least one of us is rested. Ha!

@ges072115 PPD/PPA are huge concerns for me but I will say having been there before, the second time you recognize it a lot quicker and have a better idea of what you need and how to get the help. I am very proactive about it now and tell all the nursing staff, doctors at well baby checks etc when they ask that yes, it’s a concern I have. I am hoping I’ll be in a good enough place to run some check in/support type threads here after birth, I have some good resources for helping people identify PPD/PPA. We can definitely look out for each other.

Tlex I actually think that's a good policy for them to require a support person. I'm pretty much thinking I'll be an emotional mess and without him just being there I feel like will make it worse. I'm leaning towards having him stay at least the first night, and then maybe seeing from there how I feel and where I'd rather he be. After the first day I'm sure we'll be busy with visitors (if it's anything like last time) during the day so he could definitely spend time with E then. jacks that would make sense. I honestly don't think E will care about us not being home with her - Grammy is her happy place 😂 but I also want her to be the first one to meet him after he's born, there's no way I could wait 3 days! @ges man last time we let whoever wanted to wait at the hospital during the surgery and I swear my mom got there when I did, 2 hours before surgery was scheduled 🤦♀️ *I* didn't feel pressured to let them in before I was ready but *some people* (ahem MIL) got a little pissy because they felt like they were waiting too long. Too bad so sad? This time we're doing no visitors on day 1, aside from my mom bringing E up (and you know....we might secretly let her and my dad in too for just a bit because they will respect it) because of it. With E there was so much commotion once we got into our room that I felt like I hardly even got to hold her until they kicked everyone out that evening! Not doing that again.

I pretty much plan on kidnapping my mom and not letting her leave my house until I’m ready. H gets no paternity leave, so he’ll go back to work as soon as I’m out of the hospital. There is no way I can manage toddler antics post-surgery alone so I hope my mom is ok with her relocation plan I would prefer no visitors in the hospital because I really don’t want to chat and my boobs just tend to be out all the time. I’m sure my family and in-laws will TOTALLY understand and respect my wishes.... but like, when the nurse come in and asks if I have passed gas yet, I’d prefer to only die a little bit in front of H and not a whole audience.

pambee Yep the grandparents got there before our surgery time too. My DD’s body temp was too low after we finally got to recovery and the nurses instructed me to do skin to skin with her until they improved and my mom was like, what do you mean I can’t hold her?! Sorry not sorry. Hold her tomorrow.

I'm sure everyone was thrilled to know that 😂

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 25 Due date April 1st.
Baby is the size of a:.......let me go check...pomelo?
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Pink
Appointments: I am gonna do my Glucose test on the 27th OB appt on the Jan 14th
Symptoms: achy hips and legs. my varicose veins are getting much worse this pregnancy
Rants/Raves/Vents: See the randoms for a rant/vent. Rave though my husband has been stessed for months and talked to me about it 10 days ago or so. He says I dont stress him out... but it sure seemed like I was especially when I am stressed. So I am trying to give a little personal time. And he is giving me some kid free time too. I got a whole hour to clean without kids around so that helps me a lot because spending a weekend day trying to clean up the house while the kids instantly undo it stresses me out.
GTKY: what little things get you excited for your new baby? What are you most looking forward to? Seeing what kind of little person they are. Also seeing my son as a big brother. He is already saying I love you to my belly its super cute.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 29+2
Baby is the size of a: butternut squash
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: green
Appointments: today. I'm onto my every two week appointments. Time this pregnancy is going so fast!
Symptoms: I'm grumpy as heck.
Milestones: another week closer to meeting my babe!
Rants/Raves/Vents: reading all of the comments about what people are doing with their older kiddos makes me even more happy and thankful to be having another home birth. My big boys will be there the whole time. Last time my big slept through the whole thing and woke up in the morning with a baby brother. The whole process was not stressful and I'm excited to be doing it again.
GTKY: what little things get you excited for your new baby? What are you most looking forward to? I am excited to finally meet the tiny person I've been growing. Seeing if they are a girl or boy. Seeing my big kids as big brothers. I'm excited to nurse again.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 26w2d, March 4 eviction date
Baby is the size of a: two red cabbages
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM/TTM (twins)
Team: Double blue
Appointments: None until after the new year! I just had an ultrasound check yesterday, everything looking good. The boys are sharing well. 😀
Symptoms: Totally crabby, tired, feel like I skipped second tri and went straight to 3rd trimester with all its aches and pains. My ute is consistently measuring 10 weeks ahead.
Milestones: Another good scan, and all of this is starting to hit me!
Rants/Raves/Vents: I am feeling anxiety about how we will handle 2 newborns. I feel terrible because I catch myself thinking that I know we can handle one more, but TWO? How will we manage the sleeplessness, breastfeeding, and a 4 year old all at the same time? I am just feeling overwhelmed by it all. I'm sure it's also a combo of a work deadline tomorrow (why I haven't been around much) and Christmas looming. I just want a full night's sleep without pregsomnia. I also don't like feeling physically limited, it's almost playing with mind a bit. Like I feel helpless and I don't like it.
GTKY: what little things get you excited for your new baby? What are you most looking forward to? If it were a single baby, I'd say maternity leave so I can just sit on the couch and binge shows while getting newborn cuddles. But I feel like 2 newborns will be hard AF! I'm looking forward to meeting 2 sons, having a hard time picturing what they'll look like/be like.
Share any U/S or bump pics if you'd like
Will edit once I have a chance to upload a pic from yesterday's scan! They turned the 3d view on!

Eames hugs I would feel the same way with how to handle two newborns at once. I have concerns about having one newborn again and going through all of the sleeplessness and illiness of being the immune system for a newborn and still having time and energy for my other 2 while working full time. My kids finally sleep well...maybe this one will be a unicorn sleeps well from 2 months on so I wont be sleep deprived for 1.5 years lol.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 27 weeks
Baby is the size of a: fennec fox(minus the tail)
FTM/STM/TTM/etc:ttm
Team:girl
Appointments: rhogam/winrho shot the 31st, midwife in the new year
Symptoms: waking up and then having to pee , out of breathe especially if I don't sit up properly.
Milestones: felt hiccups!
Rants/Raves/Vents: I am tired. My family comes this weekend for Christmas then we get two 2 days off and then my husband's family comes. I am purging old toys and prepping for our guests. It would be easier if I didn't get so winded while doing all this prep.
GTKY: what little things get you excited for your new baby? What are you most looking forward to? It may be weird but I am excited to get my newborn stash of cloth diapers out and get them freshly washed and ready. They are so tiny and cute. Also, just seeing this new person and who/what they look like, naming them, and getting to cuddle and smoosh them. This is our last so I am looking forward to just soaking it in as much as I can. Starting my last breastfeeding journey and watching dd2 become a big sister.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 25+2, EDD of 3/31/19 Baby is the size of a: Cauliflower FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM, third pregnancy Team: Pink! Appointments: Had one yesterday. Next is in 4 weeks Symptoms: Sore nips, getting cold easily, book leak most of the time when squeezed, tired Milestones: Every week is a milestone Rants/Raves/Vents: Feeling her move consistently everyday, which is so fun. Yesterday, I’m pretty sure she kicked me in the cervix a few times. That was not fun! I’m feeling large, and I know I’m going to get a whole bigger before I deliver. I signed us up for childbirth classes, and I can’t believe I’m at that point! At my appt yesterday, I found out my OB won’t let me go past 39 weeks. So I will be induced on March 24th if she’s not born before then. GTKY: what little things get you excited for your new baby? What are you most looking forward to? I can’t wait to meet her, and I absolutely cannot wait to see H hold her for the first time. I want to look at her face, and her hands, and feet, and all of her features and fall in love with her. My h was barely around when I had my daughter and she was in the NICU. He had to work basically the whole time. I assume this will be similar. My friend from work will come over if it's the middle of the night when I go into labor and then I assume he will go home to be with our daughter/also bring her by when the baby is here.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 27w/3d. 3/17
Baby is the size of a: cucumber
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Pink
Appointments: Jan 2nd is my next one!
Symptoms: shortness of breath is my main one. My favorite is when I carry laundry from the basement to the 2nd floor and then my kids need something right then. 😂
Milestones: almost 3rd tri!
Rants/Raves/Vents: This has been like two weeks of sickness in my house. My oldest had an asthma flare up last week. He went to school two days. Then the last two days was home with an ear infection. DS2 has had a cold and shared it with me. Luckily after Thursday MH will be home for like two weeks 🙌🏼
GTKY: what little things get you excited for your new baby? What are you most looking forward to? I’m most excited to see how DS1 & DS2 are with her. I love when we talk about baby stuff. And buying the cutest little baby outfits gets me excited.
I’m also very very excited to drink alcohol again. 😂
