Ok... I think I’m caught up on this thread!! Hi!!! We had dh’s Christmas party last night. It was fine but kind of boring. It was small, just for executives and we brought C with us and I drive home.
Today is the last day of baseball!!! Hallelujah!! I do love the sports and the business but I am so looking forward to a break! We had three games today, plus a bday party for one of R’s friends. My oldest had his first game pitching and did pretty well so I’m proud of him!
Currently I’m sitting in the backyard by the fire pit with a beer and listening to Christmas pandora. The boys are running around the yard with flashlights and dh and C went out to get us takeout!

vino we have the diono Rainier that goes up to 90 lbs. We plan to keep using the 5 pt harness functionality for the foreseeable future. Our ped said she JUST switches to a seatbelt in a booster for her very petite 9 year old.

Can we talk about next stage car seats. So up until i got to BBB I was convinced that I needed a high back booster with the 5 point harness, but there are little choices and they seem super bulky. Am I a weirdo and just need to get over it and that he’s ok in a high back booster and use the seatbelt? Based on what I've seen/read, its all about the kids maturity. Will he sit correctly so the seat belt stays across his chest and lap? I know M wont yet. But they recommend 'training' like mwhip is using it in one car that I'm guessing shes not in as much. So she gets used to it in small doses. If we only had M, I may try it. But I know jack will be relentless about being like him and I dont have the energy for that fight... I like the Graco transitions for a harnessed booster. It's pretty slim and super easy to take apart to clean. |

Skating with Santa was a blast. I could skate on my own and E kept wanting to skate. SD was a bit timid because it's been a whole but E showed her how to do it. And Santa was great and stopped to take pictures with all the kids.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. We only have the car seats in one vehicle, so there’s not a training option like peachsmama suggested. I appreciate everyone’s input and has basically solidified that the 5 pt harness is the way to go. Thanks for the link jewels and the named one slenle, tallb and pechamama. I’ll look into them. |

Morning. I had my SIL bachelorette yesterday. The activity and dinner was fun, drinks after lasted way to long and talk went to subjects I didn’t want to talk about with that crowd. And I didn’t make me like her future husband more. Anyhow it’s over and done and she was appreciative of how it was planned, so I did my job.

I'm up with the kids. They think 5:30 is the perfect wakeup time. Same. I’m over today already. Tried to put on a Christmas movie. Charlie keeps bringing me legos creation to look at and Josie asks a million questions about the movie so I’m unable to listen to what’s happening. |

Good morning. We were at hockey until after 9 last night and now I’m up with the 2 little boys but they slept until 7. DD has state sectionals for gymnastics today and DS has a game at the same time. My sister is keeping the little boys and I’m a bit too excited to just sit and watch DD alone. I’m also that mom who is on the scoring app scoping out her competition.

Morning!
Today was my day to get up with the kids, I’m currently lying on the sofa with my coffee while they play.
Our MOPS party last night was so fun; I have serious kitchen envy, the hostess completely gutted hers last year and it was gorgeous. We had an ornament exchange and mine was popular and ended up being retired, so that made it worth driving all over town looking for the perfect thing 😂
More rain today so I think we’ll probably just be lazy. One of our sitters is home from college so she’s coming tonight so we can go to dinner and see a movie.

I was super productive yesterday. Got a bunch of cleaning done, including my car, and made the annual photo calendar which is always a pain of a process. It was tiring but felt good.
Today I'm going to try to finish up a few last Christmas errands and roller skating this afternoon.

Morning. We’re kidless so got to sleep in. We’ll get the kids in a bit and go to church. We’re hosting Sunday dinner for my parents and sisters family so I need to get to the store for taco fixings.
We got most of our wrapping done last night, just have dhs left and a couple random gifts.

Good morning. I’m hungover and at the hair salon. One of my friends had a holiday party last night and i definitely drank too much wine.
Did any of you try to brave the stores yesterday? I feel like people were acting and driving insane near me yesterday. Tis the season i guess. I still need to get gift cards to finish out my Christmas shopping, but dnw to do it today. People be cray.
