Sounds like a few of the ladies have a great Friday plan doing fun things. I’m at work, blah. We have our Christmas lunch today and after work I have to make some returns. The cleaning lady comes tomorrow so I’ll be clearing out the rooms for her sometime tonight. So glad the weekend is almost here.

I also have the goal of getting all my holiday cards in the mail by tonight, so I sat down and busted out at least 50 yesterday. I apologize in advance to anyone who's I made a mistake on, I have an exact number of envelopes, so I had to roll with it 😬 My international cards feel hilariously wrong to me. Like a second grader who is just learning to address an envelope. |

TGIF! This week felt eternal. Tomorrow night we have our NIN concert. I get to go to Pasadena to check out my BFF’s new apartment, then he wants to grab an early dinner, and we’ll head to the show. Can’t wait to do adult things! Insanely jealous. I don't think they're coming to KC anytime soon. :-( I'm even listening to them right now. Honey, if Trent looks at me the right way, I'm leaving my husband for him. Pete understands. |

Hi ladies! I didn’t get around to tell you yesterday that I had a good day at the new job! I finally had a meeting with my boss and could tell her how I felt I was drowning a little. I got my Christmas gift at work today (almost all employers over here hand those out) a nice robe, some edibles snacks, baking things and a bottle wine, nice! Looking forward to a quiet evening in.

I haven't seen the full 4th season. I started it, but went on hold for MH to catch up (he'd never seen any so we started from the beginning). Unfortunately we didn't get through it in time before Hulu started removing episodes. But from what I've seen that show is absolutely wonderful. In an age of never-ending remakes and complete lack of creativity, it's a breath of fresh air. Funny, smart, and unexpected. |

I swear, the holidays are when all the people who never go anywhere decide to go out and drive aimlessly.
Just got a couple errands done and am now waiting for school to let out. MH is supposedly flying this afternoon—tons of cloud cover and I’d be willing to bet he actually won’t be able to go up, but he’s going to drive all the way out to the airport (yes there are weather apps, etc that he tracks and ‘as of right now it looks ok’ but we’ve played this song before and I know how it ends 🙄)

vino, I missed what happened last January, but I am sorry you are seeing some troubling similarities. FX things are ok when he gets home. I know that's a horrible kind of anticipation.

L fell asleep on the couch (a miracle!) I just stuck A in his crib in Hope's he will nap. I'm expecting screams any second. Come on, A! Go to sleep!

Took the kids to a really neat indoor play place after M got out of school. Hoping for good car naps on the way home. It was a bit far but worth it.

After lunch, we went to the liquor store for drinks for our girls party. I bought a can of wine. I'm a little more excited than I should be to try it because it's a pretty can. I also bought beer, H is meeting me over there for dinner and drinks.

Went way over board on cookie stuff, as per usual. My sister is supposed to choose 2 recipes and bring ingredients for them, but she is so scattered and last minute, I think it makes me mildly panic and then I overcompensate. I love her dearly, but it's for her company, not her organizational abilities 😉

My massage was amaaazing. I’ve been having low back/hip issues and she worked my butt (muscles) so hard.... 😂but for real, it was awesome. Then went for Mexican for lunch with some girlfriends, complete with a margarita. Then I wondered target with Starbucks in hand. I really am living my best life today.
