Weeks pregnant: 29+4
Baby is the size of a: English cottontail rabbit...and she kicks like one, too.
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Pink
Appointments: Today! I'll have to update later.
Symptoms: BH, fatigue, SPD shit. But really, that's about it. My appetite has calmed the F down, finally. Hoping for better weight results at the doctor's this time around.
Milestones: Down to two-hand week count-down starting Thursday O.O
Rants/Raves/Vents: H is being an ass. Admittedly, he's had some shitty days at work recently and some personal stuff that always comes up this time of year, but he's still being an ass. That's all for now, really.
QOTW: What's a typical holiday food/dessert that you hate?: Hm. Ummmmmm....fruit cake? Lol I've only had it once because no one in my family makes it or buys it but it wasn't my favorite.

Weeks pregnant: 37w 1d
Baby is the size of a: tackle box. ?! Another one said a skunk.
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: ttm
Team: boy
Appointments: every Friday
Symptoms: same old same old, but now with added cramping
Milestones: 37 weeks - TERM!
Rants/Raves/Vents: I'm realizing very quickly how much Christmas and baby prep I still have to do in the next 2-3 weeks. I just tried wrapping presents and I got through 3 of them. This is going to take awhile this year!
QOTW: What's a typical holiday food/dessert that you hate? Egg nog? Not a big fan of Gingerbread.

Weeks pregnant: 33+3
Baby is the size of a: celery/ferret/junior tennis racquet
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: 💚
Appointments: I have another growth ultrasound tomorrow and will be discussing with my high risk OB whether or not they think I can switch back to my regular OB for these last few weeks and deliver at my local hospital 😬
Symptoms: nesting like crazy and lots of low back pain as a result; BH; random pain in my right hip (?)
Milestones: the nursery is ready!!
Rants/Raves/Vents: any day now we’re going to get the hospital bill from my surgery. Money already is feeling tight with the holidays and being in our second month on one income, so it’s a little stressful to think about.
QOTW: What's a typical holiday food/dessert that you hate? I wouldn’t say I “hate” it but I do not get what all the fuss is about with pecan pie. MH acts like it’s the second coming every time he eats it and I am extremely meh on the whole thing.

Weeks pregnant: 29+2
Baby is the size of a: butternut squash seems to be the consensus this week.
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Pink
Appointments: Next week. At the every two weeks point now!
Symptoms: Nothing new/unusual, pelvic discomfort, moving like a pregnant woman and definitely at the point of pathetically pointing at something on the floor and begging DH or one of the boys to please pick it up for me so I don't have to bend down. Baby seems to really like being breech and while I admit I'm more comfortable functioning with her in that position, it worries me she won't flip at the end!
Milestones: Nothing major. Have my fasting sugars back firmly under control so am relieved for that. I just can't ever skip the bedtime snack!
Rants/Raves/Vents: Way too focused on getting everything done for the holidays to focus on baby. I love the holidays and making them special for my boys, I'm just also super eager to be able to focus my attention on preparing for baby! I have a huge nesting instinct and it's bugging me I can't indulge it.
QOTW: What's a typical holiday food/dessert that you hate? Anything with almond flavoring! I hate that flavor for some reason. Fine with real almonds, just the flavoring ruins cookies for me.

Weeks pregnant: 30 tomorrow
Baby is the size of a: Cucumber?
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Girl
Appointments:Tomorrow high risk to check growth and cord flow. Friday regular OB for BPP and now weekly check ups
Symptoms: Heartburn. All day.
Milestones: Made it another week with baby girl still cooking.
Rants/Raves/Vents:Started insulin at night on Friday. Frustrated I can't get my numbers down on my own. I can't find a lot of pattern to my numbers and what I eat which is driving me crazy. Also I know people mean well but everyone keeps commenting on how small I look and that I hardly look pregnant. Not helpful when worrying about IUGR. What cant people just keep size comments to themselves?
QOTW: What's a typical holiday food/dessert that you hate? Pumpkin pie. Can't stand it. Also green bean casserole. Fortunately my family doesn't make it.

redhead610, Gingerbread! That's another no-go for me. Same with gingersnaps. dashook, I'm the same way about pecan pie. My SIL makes awesome pecan pie bars but other than that, I could take it or leave it. hrh, What?? I'm all about almond extract but real almonds are meh to me. tngrl3, I'm going to pretend I didn't see you put down pumpkin pie.... although, I do think crust makes it or ruins it. Also, how do people not like eggnog?????

I'm going to try again...
Weeks pregnant: 30+3
Baby is the size of a: motorcycle helmet
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Blue
Appointments: tomorrow afternoon
Symptoms: I'm so easily exhausted. My belly gets achy if I'm standing too long or sleep without a nest of pillows.
Milestones: Less than 10 weeks go to! And I have a tentative C-section date, so things are getting really real now.
Rants/Raves/Vents: I feel like there is so much to do before Christmas and baby, and I'll be scrambling trying to get everything done for the rest of the year. Tired just thinking about it. I've definitely been nesting at work (if not at home) and it has been nice to come into a fairly clean and organized office in the mornings.
QOTW: What's a typical holiday food/dessert that you hate? One benefit of my post disappearing was I had time to read the other responses... k and redhead610 reminded me that I can't stand eggnog. Blech. DH and DS love it so I buy it for them, but no thank you.

Weeks pregnant: 30
Baby is the size of a: large cabbage
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Girl 💗
Appointments: Thursday
Symptoms: BH, heart burn/acid reflux, peeing a lot, tailbone pain. It’s also getting more uncomfortable when baby makes big movements or pushes up against me with her butt.
Milestones: 3/4 of the way to EDD. Had my baby shower Saturday!
Rants/Raves/Vents: Super over parking in our driveway. When we sold the business in November we had to move a lot of equipment (half of it random stuff that will take forever to sell) to our garage. Unfortunately, MH’s large computer desk has been sitting where I usually park for 5 weeks now. We spent $450 on it just over a year ago and it’s in perfect condition so I don’t want to sell it for nothing. I’ve had it on the marketplace for over a month and while I’ve had a lot of inquiries, we still haven’t sold it so it’s just sitting. With the cold weather and rain lately it’s become extra annoying for me. I had to unload groceries this afternoon in the rain and am still salty about it. So ready to sell this damn thing!
QOTW: What's a typical holiday food/dessert that you hate? I don’t like stuffing at all. My Aunt always makes a kidney bean salad I avoid every year as well. As far as desserts go, I really don’t hate anything but I’m not a fan of pumpkin pie or carrot cake.

dashook I totally get your worry about bills. We just got the hospital bills from DS2’s ER visit, ambulance ride and hospital stay from Oct. thankfully it wasn’t as high as i was expecting and we are able to go on a payment plan, but it’s still terrible timing.

Ok I do like pretty much every food everyone is naming and not even because I'm still nauseous all day. Yuck to pecan/pumpkin pie (really any pie beside chcolate!) And pecan anything, carrot/fruit cake. And green bean casserole.
Give me some ham, mac&cheese or potatoes, and a variety of cookies, please!

Weeks pregnant: 28+4 Baby is the size of an: Italian eggplant FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM Team: secret (although my sister guessed the sex early on because I slipped with something I said, and a couple days ago she accidentally came across a photo on DH's phone with the baby's full name, sooo...so much for surprises) Appointments: MFM Friday showed baby measuring at 10 days ahead, at 75% percentile. OB today, then not again for 4 weeks. In fact, I only have 3rd tri appts at 28, 32, 36, and 38 weeks. That seems like half of what everyone else is getting? Symptoms: Out of breath easily. Lots of uncomfortable pressure and stretching when baby is head down, makes it hard to walk. Tiny specks of something crusty starting to come out of my nipples. Overall feeling good. Milestones: THIRD TRIMESTER!!!!! Rants/Raves/Vents: Sexual activity is basically at a standstill for me because at least half the time I orgasm it morphs into an intensely painful contraction or pulling and it sucks. So now I'm gunshy. QOTW: What's a typical holiday food/dessert that you hate? I don't do ham...I imagine it's just salt and chemicals. LOVE egg nog...have to play mental games with myself to not go through gallons of it as soon as it hits the shelves.

sunshiney, Crusty stuff out the nips is usually some colostrum leaking. At least, it is in my case. And that is odd they're keeping you at every 4 weeks and not bringing it down to two and then one. You should ask them why because I'm curious.

sunshiney that doesn’t seem like the norm to me either. I have been going once a month. I had one at 28, one at 32 and then I’ll go at 34, 36, and then once a week until baby comes. I have GD though so I might have to go even more. Don’t feel bad about the sex. I haven’t really wanted to but when we do it makes me uncomfortable and achey afterwards

Weeks pregnant: 31w5d
Baby is the size of a: a bunch of asparagus
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM
Team: blue
Appointments: Wednesday for my 32 week check up
Symptoms: feeling big and uncomfortable. Lots of aches and pains, some acid reflux
Milestones: my first week of testing my sugar has been pretty good I only went over my goals one time from eating bread. Fingers crossed I can keep this up and avoid any additional interventions
Rants/Raves/Vents: we don’t have a daycare situation figured out yet. All the places I’ve tried only do full time and it’s almost 300 dollars a week. We can’t afford that. A coworker’s mom is likely starting an at home daycare soon so that’s an option or I thought of even trying to hire someone to come a few days a week and watch him while MH works. He works at home but he will definitely need some relief and help when I go back.
QOTW: What's a typical holiday food/dessert that you hate? Egg nog yuck!!

sunshiney that schedule does seem different. I’ve been going more often because of all my million issues, but with my previous normal pregnancies, my OB did once a month til like 30 weeks, then every two weeks til 36, and every week from 36 to delivery. It couldn’t hurt to ask. Re: sex. Um nope. Totally get why you would be feeling gun shy. I am trying hard to think back but for me it’s been maybe 2-3 times total since BFP? Orgasm isn’t the issue (I don’t get them anyway); it’s more the exhaustion, hemorrhoids, and being annoyed AF by my husband all the time 😒

I'm also at 3 times total for sex this whole pregnancy. It makes me sad. But it was very uncomfortable/painful during 1st tri, 2nd tri I was into it but H wasn't, and now I don't want it.

Weeks pregnant: 29w3d
Baby is the size of a: Butternut squash
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Pink
Appointments: Not until early January, then every 2 weeks.
Symptoms: I'm in the large and achey phase of pregnancy. Plus heartburn, frequent peeing, etc.
Milestones: Almost down to single digits.
Rants/Raves/Vents: I had to break out my body pillow from last pregnancy, the regular pillows in between my legs and under the belly aren't cutting it anymore. I'm at the point where it's suddenly harder to do things and I'm getting aches and pains.
QOTW: What's a typical holiday food/dessert that you hate? I think I love them all! Trying to think of something I don't enjoy and it's not coming to me.

Weeks pregnant: 31w 4d Baby is the size of a: Football FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM Team: 💙 Appointments: Tomorrow Symptoms: So many BH contractions. It is making me very nervous how quickly they are increasing in frequency and discomfort. I am also really sore and achy from painting and moving. My morning sickness is back, which is no fun. I also have a lovely combination of exhaustion and insomnia going on. Milestones: Hmmm.... Rants/Raves/Vents: I am so anxious to get set up. I feel a lot of stress about not having anything I need or anything ready to go. That plus moving and Christmas has me up at night. QOTW: What's a typical holiday food/dessert that you hate? Egg nog, ick!

QOTW: What's a typical holiday food/dessert that you hate? Not a fan of cream/pudding based desserts. You can keep your trifles and chocolate cream pies

Weeks pregnant: 36+5
Baby is the size of a: a chihuahua
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM
Team: blue
Appointments: I just had one today, baby boy sounds great! We did talk about having my membranes swept to try and induce between Christmas and New Year's. I would love this because my Dr is on call that week which would mean she would be delivering me. She goes to Mexico after and comes back the day of my EDD. Which is still ok. I just don't want to deliver with anyone but her. 😕
Symptoms: peeing all the time, tired, back aches
Milestones: Saturday he'll be full term!! We're almost there!!!
Rants/Raves/Vents: I can't believe in two days he'll be full term. It's crazy to me!! I remember vividly seeing my BFP like it was yesterday, and here I am just a couple weeks away from meeting him.
QOTW: What's a typical holiday food/dessert that you hate? Pumpkin pie

hrh I know everyone is different when it comes to GD, but would you care to share what kinds of things you do for bedtime snack? Even with the addition of insulin im struggling to get my fasting numbers in range. Its very very frustrating especially since I didn't have trouble last time. I feel like I tried so many different combos but maybe there's something obvious I've forgotten about!

Third baby, 2nd time with GD, but first time on insulin and my numbers suck. I feel so crappy about it. I noticed there are a few GD ladies here, would you guys be into a thread here or on my board? Don’t want to be too presumptuous just could use some support and advice!

tngrl3 I'm so sorry you're still struggling with it. I am boring with my snacks this time, just because of time/laziness so I buy the same go-tos. My mainstay has been the Oui vanilla yogurt by Yoplait; 16 grams of carbs in one, literally having it right now. Pretty much the same as any greek yogurt serving. That's my fave because it is kind of dessert-like but has a little protein. I did Dove ice cream bars with my boys for evening snack, but am trying to be healthier with this one so she's not as huge. Some nights I do popcorn, cottage cheese with fruit, apple/peanut butter, chips/guacamole, or I buy those individually packaged bags of potato chips (good carb amount and the serving size prevents me from blowing it) because sometimes I just need salty! If I'm not hungry, I drink a serving of kefir. I'd prefer milk or some other drink but I think it processes through me too quickly and doesn't help me in the morning; the kefir has more protein, too. These probably aren't new suggestions to you, I'm sorry! I wish I was more creative with it. I found myself getting into trouble around Thanksgiving due to higher fat meals and snacks, so I've been cutting back on red meat/fatty foods and adding in more fish/chicken. I think it helped; it wasn't that my post-prandials were bad, it was just the stupid fasting. Are you doing a walk or anything? We have a "loop" in our house and I sometimes walk fast around it for like 5 minutes before bed. It's not fun but my sugars are usually better in the morning, just gets my heart rate up a bit. Wish I could be of more help. I'm so sorry you have this on top of everything else! I've been keeping you in my thoughts and hoping that baby stays put and things stabilize for you. <3
