OK so the verdict is - no wallpaper, lol. Can we talk about stenciling a pattern vs. Plain white wall. And how much of a bitch is it to stencil a wall yourself? MH and I are not handy. We painted a tiny office one summer and vowed never to do it again ourselves. Having that said, I've seen enough design shows where they use painters tape to create a pattern. Not something I would try myself, but if you're more artistic/more precise, I say go for it

peachsmama hope the antibiotics work quickly. I'm the freak that had mastitis when I was no longer breastfeeding. trtlcrzy I'm going to follow your directions to post a picture later. My homeroom kids threw me a birthday surprise party today. They decorated all in blue so I thought they found out I'm pregnant but they did not. Going to lunch with my work friends then dinner with the family. I don't know where to go either time. Nothing appeals to me.

Today is my Friday. LO is going to the backup DC tomorrow so I get a whole day to myself. I'm thinking of getting a gym membership but I don't know what do you think. Next weeks going to be a B*tch. I'm doing overnights with a vendor I don't like. I think they are not being enough people or equipment to get the job done. I see 14 hour days ahead of me.

I say fuck wallpaper just because how much of a pain it is to change -- but I think wallpaper can look lovely. Just make sure you put it up correctly so that if you want to take it down, the damage is minimal and it doesn't take days. Our former owners didn't use the proper adhesive (or some sort of backer) so it was near impossible t get down without tearing off the wall.

I don't understand why people would paint over wallpaper. It can't look good. We couldn't even tell they painted over wall paper in our kitchen until we started to remodel.

Good morning. I've been super efficient today. I also got DH to agree to Disney last night. We are going in January for four days. It's nice having something to look forward to. I just need the time to actually book it.
C scratched his butt at some point overnight and there was a poop in his diaper. His bed was clean so I think it must have been right before I came in but he had it on his hands and rubbed his eyes before I could stop him. I expect conjunctivitis in our near future. Good think I hoard meds and have some on hand. Yuck!

csho My background is in interior design, so you can take this for what it's worth, but I love wallpaper and wallcoverings (grasscloth, for ex) in certain applications. It is definitely "in" right now. I'd tend to use it in a space like a formal dining room, powder bath, entry hall, etc, vs. a room like a kids' bedroom that you might redecorate more frequently as tastes and interests change. I also would not put it up unless you know you're going to be in the house for a long time, ideally, b/c it's not great for resale since it's such a personal thing.

Morning! Just a lazy day here; the weather is gorgeous so my dad set up a kiddie pool for B (the lake is still freezing).
I'm about to order a sandwich from the market and go pick it up.

chrisy01, I think she should be demoted to just S now, since she clearly isn't doing any actual work to be deemed "coworker"
