Baby’s age: 8 months
Milestones and Appointments: She's pulling up and cruising along furniture.
Finally sleeping 2 hour stretches in her crib on occasion.
Her hair is starting to turn a bit red.
No appointments until the beginning of January for her 9 month visit.
Rants/Raves: She gets so mad if I move her away from something or sit her down when she wants to stand. She arches her back, screams and kicks her feet. Plays the same game when we try to put her in the carseat, crib or stroller. Basically hates being restrained or told what to do. It is so fun! I'm hoping it is just a phase.
She has a sense of humour though and laughs when we get hurt.
Favorite holiday food and why: Sweet potato casserole 'cause mini marshmallows

Baby’s age: 8 monthsMilestones and Appointments: She is crawling and eating finger foods. She is starting to pull up to standing.Rants/Raves: She is starting to assert her wants a bit more! She has been such an easy going little soul, but now we are starting to see a little fire She squawks and bangs her little hands and is pretty cute when mad, lol. Things she does not like: being alone, being kept away from the Christmas tree, when the puffs are gone, when the school bus takes her brother away.Favorite holiday food and why: Ooh impossible choice. I love the entire feast of seven fishes on Christmas Eve. My mom's yeasted cinnamon buns for Christmas morning are up there too. I think this year is the year I finally make the recipe myself. The way the holiday falls on a Tuesday means I'll actually have the time in the days prior.

Baby’s age: 8 months
Milestones and Appointments: Crawling like a speed demon, pulling to stand up, babbling a ton. She repeats HIII. Which is like the cutest.
Rants/Raves: She's honestly the easiest baby. I don't know how I got this lucky and I feel really bad everytime you all have a rough night. If I could share her sleepy magic I would.
Favorite holiday food and why: Christmas Eve i do the seven fishes with homemade pasta. 😍😍😍. It's a ton of work but OMG so good.

Baby’s age: 8 months
Milestones and Appointments:
Starting to get himself into a crawling position but he still isn't really interested. He did it the other day in the bath and got stuck and didn't know what to do.
9 month appointment in a few weeks for his second flu shot and a check up
Rants/Raves: Still not sleeping through the night and waking up early. Somehow though he stays asleep during his naps when the pile driving that shakes our house starts (with a white noise machine to block out some of it).
Favorite holiday food and why: Mashed potato casserole because it is basically half cheese. Also, all of the cookies and other treats.

Baby’s age: almost 8mos 😭😭😭 (I just had to do math to figure it out LOL)
Milestones and Appointments: she’s squarely in the 50-75% quadrant for size and it cracks me up bc she seems so so petite. I’m just used to her sister who was always 99%+ 😂
She started to crawl and pull up on everything last week. She’s lightning fast so everything that is breakable or a choking hazard has to be kept at waist height or higher - super fun with the Christmas tree and an LOL doll obsessed 3yo 😑 She also has two teeth but I think will get more pretty soon. Those things are SHARP.
She can fit into 9mos clothes but they’re a little tight and mostly summer stuff so we’ve moved to 12mos (Carter’s) and size 3 diapers. She’s in 18mos pjs but that’s bc I can’t find DD1’s 12mos pjs ANYWHERE. I’m wondering if I tossed them all due to too many poopslosions.
Rants/Raves: her naps are FINALLY getting regular and longer. Her night sleep can be awful but I think it’s all the new skills so hopefully that settles down soon. She’s also got a temper than terrifies me. I tried to take a piece of bread away from her and it was a FULL BODY FIT.
She’s usually the happiest baby though - sweet and cuddly. She cuddles her stuffed animals and it is adorable. She’s loving anything she can knock down (stackers, blocks, etc), her baby doll, playing peek a boo with a blanket, and her vibrating feet her. She still hates baby food and will only eat what we’re eating - except scrambled eggs. I’ve put her on my back in the Tula a few times and I’m surprised how much she loves it.
Favorite holiday food and why: the fruit (pomegranates, clementines, and grapefruits) and the artichokes. My grandparents always brought them when they visited for the holidays when I was little. I miss them so so much and the taste/smell of them and sharing them with my kids makes me so happy. Thank you Aldi for making them affordable 😂😂

snowmoon i see the ginger...i love ginger babies😍 Baby’s age: 9 months tomorrow Milestones and Appointments: i don’t think she’s going to crawl crawl. she is very very fast and efficient with the butt scoot. she’s starting to show interest in pulling up. i’m pretty sure dd1 was cruising along furniture at this age, but i’m in no hurry for that at the moment. no teeth yet. 9 month appointment on friday. Rants/Raves: she continues to be so much more laid back than her sister and i’m forever grateful for that. i’m not loving the sleep or the bottle/sippy cup issues but i’m feeling a little better about it. i can leave her for the night and she will be fine. i feel so much more anxious this time around with that. she is also a magnet for everything dangerous and i’m worried about getting a christmas tree at this point. Favorite holiday food and why: cookies and treats because i have the palate of a 5 year old. i also just like the memories they bring and i can wait to start baking with my girls. Baby’s age: 8 months Milestones and Appointments: STTN!! She army crawls very fast and is everywhere. She can regular crawl a bit but then decides to go onto her tummy and army crawl. Tries to pull up on everything as she loves to stand. Loves to eat table food and is eating 2-3 meals with us a day. Starting to babble more and Mh swears she said Dada yesterday. 9 month appt on the 20th. Rants/Raves: She is finally in her crib in her room and STTN and I feel amazing finally getting sleep. Working on crib naps and I'm amazed at how well she has been doing with sleep training. Still super attached to me but getting more independent the more mobile she becomes. Favorite holiday food and why: This is tough because I love all the food this time of year. I guess my absolute favorite is Christmas morning. We make breakfast pizzas with bacon or sausage and green chile and my mom makes crepes from scratch and we have different toppings and it so good.

Leaf 🌱 ditto to the teeny second baby compared to the first AND the LOL doll obsessed toddler. Late night N was chewing on an LOL shoe. 🙄 And even though she's 4 months older than E was her first Christmas, E's Christmas clothes are big on her. She's just now starting to fit in her 6 month clothes without them looking silly big.

Leaf 🌱, how does your family do the artichokes? I still fondly remember my grandmother's artichokes. We called them stuffed but they weren't really. Just breaded with lots of garlic and parmesan and baked in a casserole dish. I love them so much. Mine don't taste the way my grandmother's did though.

Baby’s age: 9 months
Milestones and Appointments: Just had his 9 month check up on Friday. 10% for weight, 55% for length, still a string bean. He’s just starting to wear 6-9 month clothes.
He’s pulling up and cruising along the furniture. He has no fear and is constantly getting into everything, although for some reason he hasn’t really messed with the Christmas tree all that much. He’s eating purées and table foods, but his appetite is so inconsistent. One day he’s devouring all the food and the next day he takes two bites and is done. He is talking nonstop and really trying to imitate what we say. He’s also becoming more clear about what he wants and doesn’t want. I used to be able to take things away from him without a problem, but I took away an empty tissue box the other day and he was MAD. Speaking of tissue boxes, he likes those and empty oatmeal containers. I was dying at him smiling at the Quaker Oats man every time he saw him while he played with the container yesterday.
Rants/Raves: He is just the cutest. I’m sure I’m not alone on the “everything my baby does is adorable” bench, but it is 100% me right now. He’s just got so much personality and I love it.
As for a rant, whyyyy do they make infant antibiotics so thick and sticky?
Favorite holiday food and why: COOKIES! I can’t wait to eat all the Christmas cookies since stupid gestational diabetes ruined my Christmas dessert game last year. My mom’s cutout cookies are my absolute favorite. My mom also makes monkey bread on Christmas morning so I’m super excited about that. I basically just love sweets.

Baby’s age: 7 months, 8 in a couple weeks.
Milestones and Appointments: finally got her six month shots today. She had that cold for so long we couldn’t do them. She can finally pick up food and get it to her mouth with 60% accuracy. It’s made her much happier. She wants to pull up to stand but can’t quite figure it out yet. She can scoot backwards and spin around but cannot move forward at all and she hates it. She’s a champion at planks.
Rants/Raves: sleep is so much better since her antibiotics. Still not great, but better!
Favorite holiday food and why: Every dessert. Every single one.

Baby’s age: 8 months tomorrow
Milestones and Appointments: Her 9 month appointment is in early January. She's still very chunky and is wearing 9 month or 12 month clothes, depending on the brand. Size 4 diapers. 2 teeth.
She's been babbling "mama" "baba" "dada" and "gaga" for a while now, but she's just recently started trying to imitate us. She wants to stand up with our assistance but is nowhere near pulling up, and she's not terribly interested in crawling yet. She's just a little doughy dumpling who likes sitting and waving her arms lol.
She loves banging toys together, snuggling all stuffed animals, shaking her maracas with great big smiles, and all of her soft/crinkly/plasticky books.
Her skin test at the allergist in November suggested she was just below the threshold for being considered allergic to peanuts. But we tried peanut butter two times after that and she broke out in hives both times, so we're going back for testing again in February. Holding off on nuts for now. But eggs have been OK.
Rants/Raves: I just love this baby! She's so happy and so sweet, and she's getting funnier and sillier every day. Her sleep continues to be great so I've got zero complaints about her!
Favorite holiday food and why: Christmas cookies!!! I bake a zillion things and go crazy eating them. Also homemade eggnog with tons of rum.

I'm a tinsy bit jealous of all the mobile babies. I feel like I am going to miss L's first steps and possibly when he starts yo crawl when o go back to work.
On the other hand I don't have to keep him away from the Christmas tree or fireplace (which we have not found a gate to surround).

Baby’s age: 7 months!
Milestones and Appointments: No dr appointment until 9 months in January. He’s sitting, starting to get up on all 4s but not quite crawling, when he’s mad he’ll yell MAAAA(😂), and eating all the foods but still waiting for any teeth. He’s solidly in 6m clothes and size 2 diapers (getting ready to switch up to 3’s soon)
Rants/Raves: he’s just getting to be so much fun lately. He has been in to pulling hair (especially his sister’s) and sometimes he’ll get those little tiny baby hairs on my temples- holy ouch😩 still a champion sleeper although I think we’re phasing out the DAT soon so we’ll see😬.
Favorite holiday food and why: Appetizers will forever hold my heart! I could forget about the entire holiday meal if there was a smorgasbord of appetizers set out🤤

Just breaded with lots of garlic and parmesan and baked in a casserole dish. I love them so much. Mine don't taste the way my grandmother's did though. i put them in a covered pot on the stove with an inch or two of water and steam them. I stuff them too sometimes! Just regular (cooked) stuffing shoved in the leaves.

Tell your DCP/SO/who ever has him during the day not to tell you about any “firsts”. It sounds dumb but it made me feel better - this way I felt like I saw it first and got to do the “announcements” for lack of a better term.

Baby’s age: 9 months on Thursday Milestones and Appointments: B army crawls like nobody’s business. He has pulled up a few times but doesn’t seem super interested. Also he ate his first dog food when I had my back turned the other day. He was very mad when I took it away and then L got mad at me for making his brother cry. He has an appt tomorrow for a check up. He’s in 6-12 month clothes and is still pretty small. Rants/Raves: I love this age so much. He’s so much fun and so happy. He’s the most distracted eater and never stops moving. Nursing sessions test my patience so much. And he doesn’t eat enough so he’s up 2-3 times a night to eat. I don’t know. It’s the bane of my life these days. He’s a great napper though. Favorite holiday food and why I love the turkey and gravy. And dessert.

That’s quite reassuring. I’m a bit nervous for his appt tomorrow. I hope he’s growing ok. I also have zero sense of normal since DS1 was a giant coming out of the womb and grew (and is still growing) at break neck speed.

Our pediatrician was never concerned about his weight after the first few months. Someone's kid has to be in the 1st percentile or else there wouldn't be a curve. That is how he had us look at. He was more concerned about milestones being met to make sure he was developing.

Baby’s age: 8 months
Milestones and Appointments: Next appointment 9 months Jan. He's army crawling like a champ...I had to pull out the baby gate because he beelines for the dog food bowls. Likes to stand holding my hand, but hasn't figured out how to pull himself up yet.
Rants/Raves: He reminds me so much of DD when she was a baby. I think the only difference is that he likes to eat more than she does. He weighed 18 pounds when we went to get his flu booster last week. He just turned 8 months and just outgrew the 6-9 month clothes. DD didn't weigh 18 lbs until after she was a year old!
Favorite holiday food and why: All of it! If I had to pick one...maybe my mom's Rutabagas? It's something I don't get to eat often since DH and DD won't eat them, and I really hate cooking things that I'm the only one that will eat.

Baby’s age: 9 months
Milestones and Appointments: crawling and starting to pull herself up on furniture. Finger feeds herself like nobody’s business. “Talks” all the time but no words yet.
Rants/Raves: her brother didn’t start crawling until well within month 9, and she started before 8. She now finds the tiniest things and promptly shoved them in her mouth. I swear I am constantly rummaging around in there to dig something out. Today was a seat out of one of Gs trucks that wasn’t broken before....
Also - She’s firmly in the 2-3 wake ups still. She eats lots of solids throughout the day but still eats a whole lot through the night. She only gained 11 oz in the last month so I’m a bit scared to night wean just yet.
Favorite holiday food and why: I’m part Ukrainian... so most food we eat at Christmas are carbs and covered in cream. Can’t name just one, They’re all good!

I typed out a post tagging a bunch of people and commenting I stuff and I've been trying to post it ever since but tapatalk keeps crashing. 😡
Seb: 9 months today, 21.6 in and 30". Basically he grew 3lb between 7&8 months and then grew an inch between 8&9. It was funny to see. He eats SO MUCH. Like almost as much as I do some meals! Do I need to worry about all the pieces I find in his diaper? Is he digesting enough nutrients? BLW people? He only cares about nursing a couple times a day. I'm down to four times most days. I was worried for a bit the last time we dropped a feeding cause it seemed like his diapers were dry for a while, but it's better now and I finally got a straw cup he can drink out of so that helps.
I also think everything my kid does is cute lol. He just learned to wave and it's so fun. His chuckle gets me too. One day we had a worm that you stretch out and it vibrates back together and he would sit there enthralled and them chuckle when it stopped. 😂 He doesn't really have toys with buttons/batteries, but he loves abutting he can make noise with, rattle, crinkle, squeak, bang. And he kicks. My word. It's no wonder he bruised my rib before he was born. I think he loosened something on the crib rolling around kicking in there. Also loves books, bathtime, towers/stacks. He kicks while he's sitting too and goes crazy kicking in anticipation when I'm stacking his stacking balls. He does really well at entertaining himself, as long as he's not hungry or tired he'll SIT and play with toys. He's happy laying sometimes and I'm trying to do more cause he hasn't even tried to crawl, just clueless.
He sleeps really well. Two long or three short naps, and sleeps from around 7 to around 7:30. Unicorn baby I guess. His normal naps are only 30 min, but I don't even care if we can keep the night sleep.
You guys he pooped in the toilet the other day. So many times I can see that he's pooping and I can't handle to sit and watch that so I started reading about early potty training and ordered a potty chair. I have not told anyone IRL this lol. And I am not "potty training". Not training him anyway. In the week since I got a potty seat I've only put him on twice, I'll take the laziest approach I can. Ha
