He really does love trying to humiliate people.
(Not that I feel bad for Kelly at all.)
I bet he’ll Twittter fire Nielson just to further fuck with him.

Sounds like Ayers doesn't want the job long-term and was planning on leaving himself, but has offered to do it through the Spring.
So...things are going really well.

This is depressing y’all. Out of curiosity I went on Fox last night. They had the news of Cohen as the main headline but the article was bare bones. Three paragraphs; one just stating the court filings happened, one was the SHS quote saying they found nothing new, and one stating Cohen would receive "substantial imprisonment" or whatever. That was literally all. Nothing about 45 or anything else. Just plain, bare facts with as little information as possible.

Why was Ayers planning on leaving his COS role for Pence? What is being reported is that he has 3 kids under the age of 6 and wanted to move back to wherever he's from. I too use my kids to get out of things I don't want to do.

I too use my kids to get out of things I don't want to do. I use my job to get me out of kid related stuff I don’t want to do, and my kids to get me out of everything else I don’t want to do. They’re the perfect foil.

And at least the John Kelly stuff is missing. I feel like something else got lost, too, but can't for the life of me remember what. 🤷 North Carolina? Oh nope I missed it

Has this been discussed and I missed it? I’ve been over NYT for a while anyway. Sorry for the screenshot, I still don’t know how to embed tweets.

I know I should read the whole thing, but I can't. Strzok says HRC should win the election 100 million votes to zero this proves...? What...? The FBI was going out of it's way to get her elected? Please.

I’m not trying to cape for 41 but it’s amazing to me to see this and realize just how different everything is with the Trump WH. It feels so odd to watch a President genuinely laugh and enjoy something that’s not about himself or tearing down other people.

richard I felt similar watching last week’s SNL. At the end they did a montage of Dana Carvey playing Bush 41 and then Bush 41 appearing on the show teasing Carvey about how off his impression was while doing and saying all the things Carvey was doing. It was funny and humble and...the opposite of the orange one.

Can I ask... is it because I’m actually interested in/aghast at American politics right now but is this much staff turn over in the WH normal for most administrations? It seems like a lot but maybe I wasn’t paying attention before?

It seems like a lot but maybe I wasn’t paying attention before? This is not normal. At all. Gotcha. I was an Obama fan so maybe I was in a little echo chamber of only positive news but I guess not. How does the govt continue to function with so much turnover??

Parts of it are very much not functioning as normal. But realistically, it's all the day-to-day normal employees who really keep everything running.

Depressing, though we will see if 45 can keep up the pretense.
