I'm so exhausted and not sure why. But I bet I won't be able to fall asleep tonight.
It's supposed to be fantastic weather tomorrow so we are going to this big Santa thing where there are a bunch of different santas from different stories/cultures

lahdeedah I just saw your snap, is m2 carrying a toaster oven? That’s hysterical. He and B would get along well. Yesterday he was carrying around a box of diapers and randomly placing it it down to use as a chair then arguing it somewhere and doing it again. * edit - then moving it somewhere, not arguing it.

He is usually pulling it around by the cord, but today when I tried to grab it from him, he picked it up and ran. 🤣🤣 He was going hide by the sofa to try to plug it in to the wall. That kid loves things that can plug into a socket in the wall. He keeps me on my toes for sure. |

I made a Target run after work and got cozy socks, Christmas activity books, Rudolph bandaids, jellybean and m&m candy canes. The advent calendar was delivered and I stopped to get us movie tickets. I’m all set for our elf to arrive with the goods tomorrow.

I wrote our advent activities in popsicle sticks so they are easier to reuse next year. I at least have this week figured out.

MH got 2 pieces of news today. There is a chance there may be an opportunity to go to Saipan for hurricane recovery but it might be over the holidays. And someone got hired up in his office and the boss came in and all but told him he will be filling the open spot including the $10k pay raise.
All our fingers crossed here!
Eta. He finally decided to have a conversation with me and his boss was making stuff up about saipan but we are hopeful about the job

I went there this morning. They didn’t have any, but I did buy their holiday candles and I’m hoping for the best Bummer  I looked at target the other day and Walmart last night. Is no one carrying them or am I looking in the wrong place? Party city has a variety of them. At least ours did. |

The volunteer event was great! Best team building event ever. I was kind of shocked/disappointed at how many people didn’t come to it. My arms look like a cat attacked me.  |

Did you guys hear? George HW Bush passed away. He was 94. So sad. I didn’t think he’d make it much longer after Barbara passed. He’s been in pretty bad shape for awhile now. |

I thought the same thing; you see that so often with elderly couples What an amazing life he had, though, and thankfully made it long enough to see his grandchildren start their families and even some of his great-grandchildren. Beyond his political/‘public life’ accomplishments, he and Barbara always seemed like such good people and devoted to each other and their family. Truly a life well-lived. |
