We try to have a real date night every six weeks or so, but we have an in house date night every weeks. We make (or order) a nice meal get some wine etc.

I went there this morning. They didn’t have any, but I did buy their holiday candles and I’m hoping for the best

Bummer I looked at target the other day and Walmart last night. Is no one carrying them or am I looking in the wrong place?

Someone said Michaels the other day. I have ordered the Trader Joes from Amazon so they might sell in the store.

Do you have a Cost Plus World Market? I got them there a few days ago and they had tons of cute little Christmas things for the kids.

I realized last night it might be the last Santa Christmas with Maddie because she's a very curious kid and questions everything. She's always trying to figure things out and questions if things are rational. So I hope I have a couple more years, but I'm preparing myself.

I talked to MH earlier and he told he me packed the girls' suitcase (I'm going to OR solo with them and he's staying home to get schoolwork done). I mean, I appreciate it but I already told him I packed their stuff last night and didn't want to deal with a large suitcase full of crap. It's a short trip so I wanted to do minimalist packing so it'd be quick to unpack. I put an outfit for them in my bag which was plenty. Men and their listening skills...

My mom told me one of her dc parents today was upset with her husband over a communication issue regarding childcare. I think they are a young couple and she seemed to think it wasn't a common problem or something. My mom was like, "Oh honey, it's all men, not just yours, with the communication issues." Truer words were never spoken.

Hi! Busy day here! First it’s freaking cold for AZ! High 50s-low 60s. This morning I drive out to Lucas’s school for a sign language class, and I loved it. It’s much more intimate then other classes I’ve taken and I get to ask lots of questions, especially regarding the rules of grammar for ASL. Now I’m letting the boys play video games and then making them watch a Christmas movie with me while we wait for dh to get off work and bring home pizza.

Also... my milk duct is clogged again!! What the heck?? Any advice/tricks?

Sorry about the clogged duct. Is it on the side you normally sleep on? If so switch sides until it’s resolved. For me it would still be sore for like a day or two after the clog was out. The only think that worked to get mine out was nursing, nursing, nursing.

xolastunicornxo, oof. Poor boob (or according to Cass "Rubies" which are "French for boobies"). Hot compress, massaging the boob, lots of nursing with massaging the area while nursing, hot shower with massage, pumping. Try to aim baby C toward the blockage if that makes sense. Just watch it close because it can turn to mastitis quickly and that can knock you on your ass.

xolastunicornxo I fought a clogged duct all summer. It was coming back every few days until TMI but I looked really close at my nipple and there was a milk blister, like a white pimple thing. To get rid of the clog for good, I had to peel the blister open before every feeding for like 2 days. It hurt a lot but the clog finally left for good.

My oldest believed in Santa until age 9/4th grade when he googled it. He was devastated and cried more than once. Then he was like oh no so probably the Elf, Toothfairy, and Easter Bunny too huh? DD is 8/3rd grade now and still very much believes.

I love that he googled it. Why aren't all the websites in on the conspiracy?! Poor guy. 

My mom told me when I was 5 because her extremist Christian friend pointed out that Santa and Satan have the same letters so obviously it's a devil thing to promote Santa...

The concert was so much fun last night. DH and I very much needed a night like that together. I feel like we too often hand kids off in parking lots of ice rinks and then see each other for like 5 minutes a day. The baby was good for the sitter but had gotten up right before we got home just before 1am. I put him back and he slept until 7 so even though I had a late night, I probably got more sleep than I have in a long time.

DD had her gymnastics meet today. I was a much bigger meet than her others have been so even though she was pretty on target with her scores, she didn’t place as high as she’s used to. Her coach made tonight’s practice optional but my little worker bee insisted on going. She was the only one there who competed today so I asked if she wants me to come back early but she doesn’t so 3 more hours it is for her.

I think that’s what I have going on. I have a blister yesterday and peeled it off (that’s sounds so gross, but you know what I mean!) but I can see it forming again in the same spot.
