I am trying something new after the nighttime potty training thread. I have started waking Josie up at 9 to take her to the bathroom. She’ll go, but her pull is still full when she wakes up. I’ll keep trying until I see her ped for the well visit next week and see if she has any other ideas. Although she told me last time when I asked about it that pull up at 5 we’re still the norm for many kids.

Morning! DH had PT early so he brought home donuts and is taking B to school. It's currently 34 outside so I will not miss going out in that We have the command holiday party tonight and I'm not feeling it at all; we're using a new sitter, and several of the couples we've gotten to know and really liked have recently moved on, so it'll be a bunch of new people. I need to turn my attitude around. I may try and host a dessert party or cookie exchange this month to try and get to know the incoming spouses.

guster We did the late-night wake-up (usually 11ish) when B was first nighttime training, it worked well. We don't have to do it anymore, although if he has a ton to drink at night occasionally we will just to be safe.

I’m hoping it takes effect in the next couple of weeks, but right now it feels frustrating to get her out of bed to only wake up in a still very wet pull up.

Clearly I need more coffee, I misread your initial post Do y'all cut back her fluids at night? That helped us, too. I hope you will see some success soon, but like you said, 5-6 is still very 'normal' from what i've always heard. eta: would be way more work for you, but I wonder if this is one of those things like PT where she has to "feel" getting wet to realize she's urinating, and learn to catch herself that way?

Thanks for the tips, flamingo. She stops drinking around five, but those are only small sips of things. I have recently read about putting a pair of underwear inside of the pull up so it might wake her up but also contains any mess if she doesnt(such a super heavy sleeper). We may have to try that next.

guster Lucas is seven and still will have an occasional accident, and so will Ryland, usually if we have a late night event and don’t keep an eye on how much liquid he’s drinking. But we still always take Lucas and Ryland to the bathroom whenever we go to bed.

I don’t think I’m going to stress about it, but I have never tried anything for night time training so it’s worth it to me to give it a chance. I’m sure, like all the other milestones in her life, when she’s ready it’ll just happen.

Morning. I’m exhausted. C has been an awful sleeper, but last night felt like a newborn night. She was up basically every 30 minutes, and was tossing and turning, obviously super uncomfortable and restless. Around midnight I gave her some Tylenol and this morning she is a snotty clingy mess. Give me all the coffee.

I’m probably going to triple the babysitter’s pay so she doesn’t quit.

My stomach is in knots and I'm super anxious. I'm glad my mom is coming with me today. I'm having flash backs to Ana's ultrasound and I'm about to lose it. Come on 10:45...

Morning. I’m off today and have a list of things to tackle. I should probably get off the couch and get started. It’s also dhs birthday and we are going downtown Minneapolis for dinner tonight with friends. I’m going to drop the kids off at my parents after lunch and get some Christmas shopping done before we go.

Morning. I am getting used to the morning commute and was able to turn off Waze halfway in. It has taken us a different route every time I've driven to or from work this week, which is a bit exhausting trying to learn the best way around. I guess it's good there are options, but I miss auto pilot of how to get home. We do drive through a beautiful park along a stream for half our ride, which is quite lovely.
Mh is mad that last night was a bit of a cluster bc j wanted pizza and by the time he got there we basically had finished. I am over planning things and I wasn't pleased either - so no need for the silent treatment. Tonight we have to close up the apartment and say goodbye, hopefully it's not too sad, j gas been saying he misses living in a building and in the city💔. Sucks that it's so dark that we can't play outside at night yet and/or meet other kids.

Morning. I felt awful this morning and called in sick which I never do. It’s dh’s day home, so I could actually take a break. I slept for 3 hours! About to get up and take some painkillers to make the headache go away. Any of you girls have any experience with salted dough? I need to make some mini cribs for the Christmas pieces at school. Normally we make them from walnut shells, but since one of the kids in ds’ class had a severe nut allergy, they want to be on the safe side.

nam2013, Cadence and I made salted dough ornaments last year. We unpacked them the other night and I was very surprised that none of them had broken. It was an easy to use dough, then after baking/drying we painted with acrylic paints and I sealed them with modpodge, which is basically just a type of glue/sealant.
