Hey guys. H had school this morning, and while she was there S and I ran to target. Then we came home for lunch and took a family nap after. I am trying to find the motivation to get up and make something for supper. We are watched the OG grinch and are now watching claymation movies. DH will work late and said it’s very icy on the roads.

1) Glad your grandma is doing well. 2) You have never gone into the city by yourself? That's bananas!!! But really it is no biggie. So, are you taking the train/bus? What are you doing in the city? Bananas because I have probably not even been in the city more than 5 times in the last 10 years unless you count the Bronx Zoo. I probably will take the bus because I can get it right on my own street. DH said I can Uber but it’s already an expensive night and I would rather Uber home when it’s late/cold/we are drunk. We are going to Dave Matthews at MSG and hopefully dinner before but dinner depends on traffic. My sitter gets out of class at 4, has about a 40 minute drive to my house, then however long it takes me to get there. If no time for dinner, I guess we just eat something at the concert. Of course now DD has a 10 gymnastics meet in Rockland County the next morning. Speaking of snoopmommymom any experience with the Garden State Parkway heading north to the end between 8:30-9:30 am on a weekday? No but MH said a lot of his coworkers commuted that direction (to Montvale) and that the commute was terrible i.e. lots of traffic.

Hi! After dropping B at school, C and I headed straight to (where else) Dillards. I was looking for gold Christmas tree ribbon--no luck--but came away with Christmas potpourri, black patent shoes and a Christmas dress for C, and a Christmas shirt, flannel shirt and sweater for B. Oops. About to head back out to pick B up and mail a couple things. This afternoon once DH gets home I am taking B out to shop for a couple boys we "adopted" for Christmas (in lieu of exchanging gifts with our extended families we are doing this instead). Check michaels, they had a great selection. That's where I ended up getting some I had seen some online at Dillards that I loved but our store didn't have it, and I didn't feel like having to order it.

joelies you were looking into Fraxel awhile ago, right? I’m going to try to scare you off if you’re still considering it. Im probably being dramatic but I’m afraid I ruined my skin forever and I have never looked so awful. I’m embarrassed to even leave the house. What happened?

I decided against it because the dermatologist told me that over the long-term, using Rx-strength Retin-A would do the same thing. I also couldn't find a good time to be potentially out of commission for 3-4 days - nevermind that with my skin, it would have probably been more like 5-7 days!

I have to drop T at school at 8:30 and be there by 10. Hopefully, I will make it.

I am so annoyed. I’m trying to find a pretty, green Christmas dress for S to wear (that’s not super expensive) and I’m not coming up with much. Gymboree used to be my go-to for holiday dresses but they have like nothing this year ( flamingo I’m sure you feel my pain).

I agree, they used to do such cute holiday stuff. I loved the dress H wore last year or the year before, red with the big snowflake. I ended up getting C a plaid dress today and am putting B in a dark green sweater; hoping that will show up against all the red when we go for Santa pics. Apparently my old age has made me delusional--the fact that I'm even planning for a decent photo is evidence I need to be committed.

This happened to a woman I knew back home; she had the most beautiful fair skin, and after the procedure it looked like she had gotten chemical burns or something. I hope it heals quickly!!

I’m actually planning to put her in her plaid dress from last year since it still fits, but I may have to go back to the drawing board if I can’t find a coordinating dress for S. Your kids are great at pictures! I’m sure they’ll turn out perfect.

Gorgeous! So oddly enough, all those dresses by "Sorbet" are sold at Dillards under the "Jayne Copeland" line. That same green dress is $50 there. Not cheap, but cheaper...interesting that there is such a discrepancy in the price for the exact same dress. Bonnie Jean and Rare Editions are two lines that usually do those classic "Christmas dresses"; I'm going to google and see if anything good turns up. eta: I see slenle and I are on the same page lol

I talked to the boys tonight and apparently Colin had a poop accident after school at daycare. So weird, he hasn't had one of those in AGES. I just hope none of the older kids was around. They are generally very sweet to him but they're kids and who knows if they'd pick on him.

Thanks guys. Here’s H’s dress (I thought it was Gymboree but it turns out to be Carter’s). S’s dress last year was all red so that’s why I’m trying to find something green. If all else fails I’ll just get new dresses for both of them.
