I like this one a lot, but can’t wear at work! Lol! The one I really like on the sale sweaters isn’t really on sale at $50, but it’s not exactly ugly either.

nam2013, I've definitely done the phone one. Also, on Thanksgiving I was drinking Vodka sprites. Pretty strong ones at that. I had put my glass down and walked away. I came back and picked it up and had a sip and thought, huh this is super weak and the 7 up has gone flat. I had 3 or 4 more gulps of it before my friend pointed out that I had picked up my mom's glass of water.

Too bad you don't live closer because you could borrow ours. My MIL made it for MH a few years ago. It even has a battery pack attached to it for the lights.

I'm contemplating getting a real estate license. I can do all the courses online. It will cost less than $500 to do. Someone talk me out of it....or into clicking the button to start the registration process....

lahdeedah, buy a cheap red or green sweatshirt, fabric paint and glue, random sequins and puff balls, etc. Paint a tree on the sweatshirt, then let the boys go to town decorating the tree.

guster no idea yet for a gtky? Celebrity crushes, male & female? Best and worst presents ever? I’m down for anything. I think celebrity crushes would be fun! Especially those odd one you can’t really explain. I just got home the afternoon so let me organize myself and maybe we can start one!

So I am thinking about getting SD a ring from Etsy so I was searching last night and I searched "vintage" then sorted price hi-low. There are $50k rings listed!! And then some of the vintage are from the 1980's. That can't be right! it's a good rabbit hole to travel down IDK what look you’re going for or how much you want to spend, but I love morganite with rose gold for a super girly, vintage, Art Deco kind of aesthetic. And it’s not expensive, comparatively.

Also how would you feel about working mostly evenings and weekends? With Cadence going to be in K next fall that would make it harder to have mom/daughter time. Although you'd likely have more time to yourself during the day and opportunities to make $$$. Can you deal with people in that capacity (needy, nervous, demanding, picky)?

I'm spending far too long deciding on ordering a robotic unicorn for Cass. link Maddie wanted to get her a "robot unicorn" for Christmas and this is what came up. It looks cool but it's a lot of money for something she may lose interest in.

xolastunicornxo, I'm impressed your boobs made it that long. Hopefully it's better now. Sunny41, whoa to 50k anything on Etsy. Makes me think of the eBay items like $600 Ty Beanie Babies that no one actually buys. wineallthetime enjoy the snuggles! How many stitches did you end up getting? I live in flip-flops as much as I can but this time of year that's way too cold! Hope you can get in regular shoes soon. Just 4 stitches!

More good Netflix Christmas movies: Christmas in the Smokies Spirit of Christmas (so cheesy but worth it, really taps into all those times you had a crush on a ghost) On my list is Miss Me This Christmas and Believe. I wish The Preacher's Wife was streaming because I love that one. Whitney Houston was so talented and I still get sad when I think of her life getting thrown away to drugs.

Hi!
I should be working but I’m just pretending to be productive. Tonight is Zumba with my potential new mom friend. I’m nervous almost like it’s a date?
This is what my life has come to now...

Yikes. Yeah, I just can't justify the cost. If I knew it'd be her favorite toy ever and would play with it a lot I'd do it. But I see it being forgotten mid-January. And both that one and the one I was looking at for Cass involve apps to make them fully functional. I don't want any involvement with apps! More stuff to go wrong/be a PITA to set up. And I don't want her to need a Kindle nearby to fully use it.

Hi!
After dropping B at school, C and I headed straight to (where else) Dillards. I was looking for gold Christmas tree ribbon--no luck--but came away with Christmas potpourri, black patent shoes and a Christmas dress for C, and a Christmas shirt, flannel shirt and sweater for B. Oops.
About to head back out to pick B up and mail a couple things. This afternoon once DH gets home I am taking B out to shop for a couple boys we "adopted" for Christmas (in lieu of exchanging gifts with our extended families we are doing this instead).

This is smart. I remember in elementary school my sister bought my mother a red sweat suit and got puffy paint for the christmas tree and we attached jingle bells on it. I can't believe my dad let us do that. I wonder if she ever wore it...

Totally random, but if you don't have these they are really fun: Christmas Light Glasses They make a cool effect when looking at Christmas lights. Could make a good stocking stuffer, advent, elf, just because gift.

My agent had her schedule so she picked her kids up at school and did evening activities with them, but then worked a lot of weekends too. Her kids came to a few showings with us, but she was a family friend/kids are 8/10. I think it's a tough field to break into unless you have a mentor to get you started/client base. Also with rates going up, I feel like the market is going to slow down now.

Real estate is intriguing to me, but what holds me back are the hours. I think really successful/established agents who have teams under them have some flexibility (my neighbor does and keeps school hours) but starting out it's all nights/weekends and manning the desk at the agency.
I also think the most successful agents are the ones doing it full-time. The "dabblers" may sell/list one here and there, but they are also the ones that will be most hurt in a slow-down or down-turn. So I think if it's something you (general 'you') want to pursue you have to be willing to jump in with both feet.
Personally, I'm not *too* worried about rates so that would not stop me if I was gung-ho otherwise. Prices will drop a bit to compensate but rates are still historically low--my parents bought their first house around 1980 at 13 %, and their friends who waited a few more months were at 17%.
