Ds made a wish list of exactly four items. A wooden tiger, a wooden raccoon, a chocolate A and a playmobil set. He got three of his list last Sunday at my parents. I wanted to use this as an opportunity to teach ds that he can ask for things, but won’t always get it.
He’s been talking about that stupid €7 raccoon 24/7. I caved and bought it. I’ll teach him a lesson next year 🙄.

My dad watched the boys and I spent the morning with grandma. She’s is doing great. She had PT and he had her walking the hallway with a walker. She was in great spirits and joked with the PT that she will finally have to give up her job as a Rockett. She still says she has no pain and didn’t even flinch moving around. She lived alone in a house so I guess next obstacle is what is going to happen there.
DH and I have a big date night planned tomorrow that I’m really looking forward to. I will need to get myself to NYC alone to start off. I have lived 10 miles away for 37 years and I have never gone by myself, although I did play it cool and drive in on DH and my first date as if I did that all the time.

xolastunicornxo You are cracking me up today. You are me...although, I can't BELIEVE this is your first clogged duct in four kids! Are you coming to Denver? I feel like we have stories to trade 😁 Everyone needs to come to Denver, really. This is Phase 1 of the compound. I’m not coming to Denver! 😭😭😭😭 I’m so sad, but I have to go to Vegas the weekend after and I just can’t logistically arrange help with the kids and/or ask dh to take time off work two weeks in a row, especially during tax season since he’s in finance. We would have so many stories to trade, but trust me, I am a hot mess compared to you!! |

Totally random, but if you don't have these they are really fun: Christmas Light Glasses They make a cool effect when looking at Christmas lights. Could make a good stocking stuffer, advent, elf, just because gift. I have looked through these at Home Depot and maybe it's just because of the lights also on in the store, but I thought they sucked. |

Re selling real estate, my mom has been selling for 20 some years now. She left the banking industry which she had been in for a long time to sell. It started slow, it takes a long time to develop a customer base and get your name out. But yes, you work when your customers need you, evenings/weekends, dealing with odd requests and complaints. I apologized to her many times when we were looking for our house because I know I was a pain. She gets phone calls all the time, I mean, your name is on signs in people yards, online, etc. She keeps saying she's going to scale back, she's almost 68, but she really does enjoy it.

Bananas because I have probably not even been in the city more than 5 times in the last 10 years unless you count the Bronx Zoo. I probably will take the bus because I can get it right on my own street. DH said I can Uber but it’s already an expensive night and I would rather Uber home when it’s late/cold/we are drunk. We are going to Dave Matthews at MSG and hopefully dinner before but dinner depends on traffic. My sitter gets out of class at 4, has about a 40 minute drive to my house, then however long it takes me to get there. If no time for dinner, I guess we just eat something at the concert. Of course now DD has a 10 gymnastics meet in Rockland County the next morning. Speaking of snoopmommymom any experience with the Garden State Parkway heading north to the end between 8:30-9:30 am on a weekday? |

Hi! After dropping B at school, C and I headed straight to (where else) Dillards. I was looking for gold Christmas tree ribbon--no luck--but came away with Christmas potpourri, black patent shoes and a Christmas dress for C, and a Christmas shirt, flannel shirt and sweater for B. Oops. About to head back out to pick B up and mail a couple things. This afternoon once DH gets home I am taking B out to shop for a couple boys we "adopted" for Christmas (in lieu of exchanging gifts with our extended families we are doing this instead). Check michaels, they had a great selection. |
