Long day here— had some carpenters over this morning to fix a few things in the house. Then we the kids to the library, a craft fair, and grocery shopping.
I’m exhausted but can’t shut my mind off despite the two simply sleeps I took at 11.

Dh and I ended up having a really nice date night. We went to Home Depot for a few things and then out to a local Italian restaurant. It was good and we had really easy conversation. We have a ways to go but I felt the love tonight after an icy few weeks. So happy to read this. |

trtlcrzy that is a tough one, I'd probably side eye it as well. How much was the GC for though? You mentioned she has boys, so I wonder if the intention was good - like this was something special to her and she wanted to gift it to her own daughter that she doesn't have, but knows H will appreciate it. Sorry about the knife and stuff - I feel like all locations should have that stuff on hand, so easy to forget. The gc was $25. She has 2 boys, 3 and 1 years old. I’m pretty sure she will have at least one more kid. She seemed very ?proud (I don’t know if that’s the right word) that the stuff was hers as a little girl. |

trtlcrzy my aunt this this one with baby toys, she had such good memories about her kids playing with the stuff, she wanted to share it with me. Maybe it was something like that.

Ive been up since around 4:30. Let the puppy out and tried ro go back to sleep, but it never happened. So I'm having a cup of coffee then will probably take a shower before the long drive. H is still asleep, of course.

I ended up in bed at 8:30. Cadence came to my bed around 1 and we woke up a little bit ago.
Grocery shopping and laundry today, but that's about it.

I have 2 dozen bags with a play doh, then a pencil, mask, stickers and fruit snacks, all ninja turtle themed. I'm pretty sure we're well above 24 kids...

I’m still sick, still no voice, and still letting the TV take the lead on parenting today.
S has been waking at 4:45-5 am for a while now. So I decided to try a later bedtime even though that usually never works for her. But I was desperate. So she went to bed at 8 instead of 7:15-7:30. We haven’t had to do the melatonin at night in a while now. She woke up at 3:45!! So I gave her a melatonin. She played in bed till 5. I was just about to give up and get her when I finally heard snoring. She woke up again at 7:30. Why can’t I have a kid that likes to sleep?

Sunny41 yes I'm home! Feels good. Totally worth driving 3 hrs to Minneapolis for a flight that got me home about 11 hrs earlier than I was originally scheduled. Unfortunately I never got fully over my last cold before launching into a new one. 🙄 Some good sleep helped though.

Good luck today and party people! joelies try not to stress about factors too much. We had a couple people leave before we handed ours out and were okay. 🎶 Rafael is cool but rude/Michealangelo is a party dude 🎶 trtlcrzy we also managed to forget candles. We did a blowing out candles app then let them use real candles later at home. |

joelies I always write the names of the invited guests on the goody bags then have a few extra. If there are not enough extra, then the siblings don’t get. I really haven’t had too many siblings show though. I have also received invitations from others that say “sorry no siblings” right on them.

Nothing going on today. I need to hit the store and order Thanksgiving meal and get some staples. Mh is taking the kids to Chinese buffet for lunch. I'm looking forward to some alone time even if I have to shop.

Ok, idk of Cadence is getting sick or if she is just tired, but this last day of 4 is one meltdown after another. She's been crying for everything the past couple of days. Poor kid. Cass gets like that when she's coming down with something. Both my kids are also assholes around their birthdays. It's like one big way to crush my hopes for the next age being easier but then they settle down in a few weeks. |

Hey. I slept in late today, and it was so needed. H and I both have a fever, so we will be laying low at home today. DH said S has been going to the potty all by herself today so hopefully we are past her regression 🤞🏻
