B had soccer this morning early so I’m already in the stands, then him and I have a couple errands to run. Later I’ve got to take J for her flu shot, then we’re just relaxing around the house for the afternoon. Which has easily become my favourite time of the week.

Hello! I slept in and then we had swim where L bloody murder screamed and clung to me the whole time. MH is grocery shopping now and sure to bring home a bunch of junk. We have my niece overnight tonight.

O’s party is over and it was a hit. We had 15 kids total. There were supposed to be 17 but a girl from his class and her sibling no-showed. It was a great group though and the kids had a blast. Now we are at home eating lots of cake and playing with presents. O requested IHOP for his bday dinner, so that’s where we’ll go later.

This month is so strange having thanksgiving so early this year.

Soccer was a madhouse - like all things in this area, they don't have nearly enough parking at this indoor place. But the kids had fun and Chase got his first medal, which was kind of cool. Now I'm hiding in my room and letting DH force Colin to rest or at least play quietly in his room for a bit. I finally made a list so we'll shop afterwards and have one less thing to do tomorrow around the party.

Dh and I have date night tonight and I always plan them but he never told em what he wanted to do so I planned nothing. There’s no movies we want to see so I have a feeling it will be walking around some stores and dinner at a chain restaurant. At least I won’t have to dress up.

We’ve been worthless today. DH is feeling a bit better but he’s tired. My body still can’t decide if it wants to be sick or not but I’ve been laying in bed all day. The kids are wild and have watched way too much tv.

I took a shower and thought i was feeling good but now it’s back.. feeling a little nauseous and have a weird cramp like pain in what seems like my ovaries.. 🤔 but am not due for af for any other week.

We cancelled our plans to have friends over and I’m bummed but obviously don’t want to spread anything.

I'm so tired. I haven't eaten all day and now my living room looks like a toy store threw up.
So many kids and they all ran around screaming. Luckily they gave us the biggest room.
They plowed through 5 pizzas, all 22 gift bags and 26 cupcakes.
I told Cadence Santa didn't need to come now. She said we still have to decorate the house.

And another RSVP for 3 more kids, LOL. It's a friend of Colin's, her brother (one of Chase's buddies) and their sister. I don't even care, Chase is ecstatic. So we're at 22 or 24 with only 2 non-responses. Not bad but I am going to need to rest up for this!!

Hi hi - so I never made it to the house today. We needed groceries and then not enough time to get back in time for swim. Then I ordered some dual pack of legos as part of a gift and it came in a plain white Lego box...so I had to run to Target for a gift that looked like a gift. It was J's best friend's party at their house and he had a ball, so much so that he refused to leave and his mom had to escort me and carry his shoes and coat to the car. Then he was saying mean things on the way home and I made mh meet me at the car to deal with him. N had a ball though and was a wonderful guest.

I'm now parked on the couch waiting for Thai. Trying to rest up for Ikea tomorrow..

Dh and I ended up having a really nice date night. We went to Home Depot for a few things and then out to a local Italian restaurant. It was good and we had really easy conversation. We have a ways to go but I felt the love tonight after an icy few weeks.

I’m ready for bed. DH was zero help today, he kept his phone in his face all day. I forgot to bring candles, a lighter and a knife to cut the cake. DH ran home when I realized about the knife but I didn’t discover the candle issue until he was on his way back. It was fine, we ended up saving a cupcake and put 5 candles on it for her to blow out. One little weird gripe: I shared a post earlier today from scary mommy about how stressful Christmas and all the obligations can be when you live paycheck to paycheck (paraphrasing). One of my friend commented on it about how she doesn’t buy presents, and has been donating so much stuff to goodwill lately because they have too much at their house. So she comes to the party with her little boys today, and her gift to H is an old Little Mermaid suitcase from when she was a little girl filled with jewelry and some tutus from when she was a little girl. So basically she donated her crap to us. H liked it and didn’t think anything of it. She also gave her a gift card for a frozen yogurt place, so it wasn’t just that. I thought that was weird. I feel like it would have been more normal for her to offer the items to us before she got rid of them. Idk, I probably sound petty but they are pretty financially set, she and her husband make good money plus her mom gives her money or takes her on vacations a lot too.

trtlcrzy that is a tough one, I'd probably side eye it as well. How much was the GC for though? You mentioned she has boys, so I wonder if the intention was good - like this was something special to her and she wanted to gift it to her own daughter that she doesn't have, but knows H will appreciate it.

Sorry about the knife and stuff - I feel like all locations should have that stuff on hand, so easy to forget.

Nope, an older couple is interested in fostering her, so I’m happy to step back and hope that happens.
